The 3rd Annual Portland Horror Film Festival™ returns to the Hollywood Theatre to serve up the best in Independent Horror, June 13-16th! This year’s festival delivers over 40 Short and Feature Films from independent filmmakers all over the world. From ghosts to serial killers, vampires to supernatural threats, creepy toys to creepy kids, and lots and lots of Monsters, there’s something for everyone! Most of these films can’t be seen anywhere else, and many are making their big screen debuts!

  • Guest Appearance by Barbara Crampton! She’ll be joining us for the screening of Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich and will do Q&A afterward. (screens Friday 6/15).
  • World Premiere of BIG LEGEND on opening night! This stunning new bigfoot film features a powerhouse cast (Kevin Makely, Todd A. Robinson, Amanda Wyss, Adrienne Barbeau, and Lance Henriksen). (screens Weds 6/13)
  • Presentation by the marvelous monster-maker, Chris Walas! As an effects and creature designer for films like Gremlins, The Fly, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, Chris will be giving us a glimpse of his creative process. (Saturday 6/16)

New Deal Distillery is teaming up with eighteen bars and restaurants in May to raise funds for Raphael House of Portland, a domestic violence resource center.

Each spot will put its own unique spin on the classic gin, lemon, and honey cocktail and donate one dollar from each Bee’s Knees sold in the month of May. All will feature New Deal’s Portland Dry Gin 33 but expect to see a wide array of both traditional and unusual riffs. Count on tropical twists, sunny slushies, infused honey syrups, bee pollen, blueberries, orange blossoms, spicy pineapple, cucumber, chamomile, and plenty of fabulous garnishes. Get out there and try as many as you can— its for a good cause!

Alicia Witt has had an over three-decade long career, starting with her acting debut as Alia in David Lynch’s classic ‘Dune’. Alicia received rave reviews for her role as Paula in Season 6 of AMC’s critically acclaimed series The Walking Dead. Witt also appeared during Season 4 of ABC’s ‘Nashville’ as country star Autumn Chase and in the new Twin Peaks on Showtime, reprising her role as Gerstein Hayward. Witt most recently was seen haunting John Cho’s character as Demon Nikki on Season 2 of Fox’s The Exorcist; other recent credits include the Emmy-award winning Showtime series ‘House of Lies’ opposite Don Cheadle and the hit WB series ‘Supernatural’. Witt is also well known to Hallmark audiences for her annual Christmas movies; her latest, which she co-wrote and is producing, will be released later this year. She can also be seen this fall as Marjorie Cameron in Season 2 of anthology series Lore, on Amazon.

Detroit band Death has reached legendary status through both their amazing story as portrayed in the highly-acclaimed documentary/film “A Band Called Death,” and has cultivated enthusiastic audiences worldwide through their amazing live performances.
