2018 United Way Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Weekend of Service | Volunteer Opportunities Throughout Metro Area

January 13

Join your friends and neighbors in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by volunteering over MLK Weekend!

For the eleventh year in a row, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette and Hands On Greater Portland are teaming up to make it easy for you to take action across Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Clark Counties and make a difference through volunteer service.

NOTE: In the spirit of creating an atmosphere where people from all parts of our community are coming together to volunteer, Team Captains are only able to reserve up to 50% of the spots on any individual MLK Weekend of Service Project.

Escapism Portland is proud to introduce our seventh escape room experience: Malice Manor, Portland’s only haunted escape room!

Secrets can be hidden, but never destroyed. This was the harsh lesson learned by the members of the Randle family, whose cursed bloodline came to a tragic and mysterious end nearly a hundred years ago. Since then, tales of ghostly voices, doors that open themselves, and visions of a little girl have haunted the home. The locals call it Malice Manor and avoid it at all costs, though certain brave souls have ventured inside and lived to regret it. Now it’s up to you to unravel the mysteries of the Randle family, and of the child whose soul remains trapped there.

This haunted experience is best suited for 2-10 players. Please visit escapismportland.com for bookings!

First held in 869 to appease the gods and scare away a plague, the neighborhood-centric festival continues to be a colorful and vibrant celebration that takes over the streets of downtown Kyoto each July.
