18th century London was one of Europe’s great cultural capitals, thanks in part to a tide of immigrant composers. In Crossing the Channel, guest director and harpsichordist Avi Stein explores the music of these new arrivals – including Handel and Geminiani – alongside English-born composers seeking to emulate the sounds of the continent.

Experience classic Baroque works as PBO seeks to recreate the live music experiences of history. The orchestra performs on period instruments and specializes in music of the Baroque and Classical eras, but also explores the musical world outside of those time constraints.
