Ten up-and-coming leaders in forestry, all under age 45, will bring thoughtful and thought-provoking dialogue to the World Forestry Center on Sunday, October 20, 2019. The event, the fourth annual Emerging Voices in Forestry, will feature dynamic conversations on the predictability of wildfire, opportunities for women fighting those fires, and the actions required to evolve forestry for the future.
“These conversations were envisioned as a way to feature new voices in forestry,” said World Forestry Center Senior Fellow, Rick Zenn. “We want to highlight the work being done by this next generation of young leaders.”
In addition to engaging with provocative ideas in natural-resource management, attendees will enjoy craft beer, local wine, and delicious food. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. Emerging Voices is part of The Hagenstein Lectures, a public outreach initiative led by the World Forestry Center and the Society of American Foresters.
