The SHOC Foundation will kick off its 15th Annual SHOC Walk & Run at Latus Motors Harley-Davidson in support of ovarian and gynecologic cancer research.

The SHOC Foundation is a 100% volunteer operated 501c3 nonprofit organization. Since its inception in 2005, SHOC has donated one million dollars to support ovarian and gynecologic cancer research at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Knight Cancer Institute, located in SW Portland. The SHOC Walk & Run was the first event launched by the SHOC Foundation in the summer of 2005––soon after Sherie Hildreth’s diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Sherie worked tirelessly to educate women, spread awareness, raise funds, and provide ongoing support to women diagnosed with gynecologic cancers.

Sherie lost her battle in 2009, but her legacy lives on through the SHOC Foundation. Our 15th Annual event goal is set for $70,000, and we hope you can be a part of it!

This is a fun event. For some reason it is a hard event for me to run! No clue why as it is a great course. Good food and fun also. I would like to give it a try again.
