You know how every day someone asks “how are you?” And even if you’re totally dying inside, you just say “fine,” so everyone can go about their day? Not this show. The Terrible, Thanks for Asking podcast is the opposite of that. Nora McInerny asks real people to share their complicated and honest feelings – sometimes sad, sometimes funny, and sometimes both at once.

Terrible, Thanks for Asking LIVE is a spectacular, theatrical presentation of the podcast with live music and multimedia storytelling of an unpublished episode. Live narration from Nora, audio clips and beautiful, bold visuals bring the audience through the signature Terrible, Thanks for Asking emotional journey. Nora will also present a selection from her newest book, No Happy Endings and sign your copy! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you won’t want to miss the human connection. Or the sack of rare coins secretly placed under one seat in the auditorium. Is that a real thing??? YOU’LL NEED TO BE THERE TO FIND OUT.

What a great way to celebrate my April 26th birthday. I’ll be turning 58, so I have lots of experience with bad questions and uncomfortable answers; I also have an unquenchable thirst for a fun exploration of both.

I’ve gone to a couple shows for the Moth but I really like that this show will add a specific theme. Plus Revolution Hall is always the best; show up clear minded, relaxed and leave buzzed with a slightly different perspective on our lives.

  40. Lisa Kendall April 18, 2019 at 9:03 pm #

Heard Nora interviewed on Fresh Air and was so moved. The perfect show for me, a writer nearing the finish line on my first book.
