Sadly, the Oregon Zoo has a disturbing history of abusing elephants. This “pub talk” should instead be a fundraiser for rescuing their elephants and getting them into an appropriate sanctuary.
People, please don’t throw any of your money at this terrible zoo. Portland Pipeline, please be better than this and stop promoting zoo events.

Such wonderful, smart, loving beautiful creatures. Creatures who take care of their own, watch out for each other and defend their young like a mother should.
