Does Seldon Cooper look like David Byrne ? A mash-up could be titled: The genius of physics meets the genius of love. If I could go to this concert my weekend would not be ‘same as it ever was, same as it ever was” Please, give this genius love and physics a chance to “burn down the house”

I’ve loved the Talking Heads since the ’80’s, when I was way too young to appreciate the full genius but old enough to be amazed and inspired by them. I’ve never seen Start Making Sense, though I know I’d be inspired, delighted, and appreciative of the chance to witness them later this month!

Tributes are great and both my husband and I loved the Talking Heads throughout the 80’s. We were near our prime years when we danced to their greatest of tunes. I would love to win tickets to Start Making Sense, just to relive some memories from our younger past. Thank you for offering chances at winning tickets.

I’ve loved Talking Heads since 1979 with their Burning Down the House- I was 17, and I danced at a college party in the midwest all night long. I wanna dance again! Pick me!

  34. Kathy Rankin March 19, 2019 at 7:48 pm #

I always wondered if there was a tribute band to the Talking Heads and I find out there is! I would love to see this band. I did see the Talking Heads Stop Making Sense tour and they played at the Eugene hult Center, I remember seeing myself on TV that night because someone got a shot of me in the top balcony and I was wearing a green sweater! That was the coolest thing. He came out with a radio and slowly each band member came out on stage. All he had to start was a chair and a boom box….he is pretty darn cool. I would love to go see this tribute band and learn more about where they are from. Maybe they will play some summer events around Portland, hope so!

  35. Mabison March 20, 2019 at 3:38 am #

The name of this band is Talking Heads. I’m across the world in Europe but please let me send my Talking-Heads-loving parents to this! Their first dance at their wedding was to Naive Melody, 27 years ago. They raised me to appreciate any good groove – and a big suit!

  36. Kelly Gallagher March 20, 2019 at 10:59 am #

Since I got laid off in December I haven’t been out too much to listen to great music, and my wife makes no sense with her constant constructive criticism on my job hunting faux pas, so I know this would cheer me up and she can start making sense again after a shot in the brain of Talking Heads music. Thanks for giving us all hope for an opportunity to attend an amazing night of great music.
