Rory Gallagher’s music reached a massive audience from Norway to Spain, from Japan to the USA, covering all parts of the globe and producing some of the greatest rock/blues albums of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Sadly we lost Rory on June 14th 1995. To his devoted fans and followers this was the ultimate tragedy.

The BAND OF FRIENDS is not a tribute to Rory, But more a celebration of his life and music. The band consists of musicians who played with Rory as his rhythm section for years and is fronted by the incomparable Davy Knowles!

I listened to and loved Rory’s screeching blues rock guitar when I was a teen. Would be awesome to see his band live. Thanks!

I have been a Rory fan since my teen years. Turning 61 tomorrow. I saw Rory do 4 shows in 2 nights in 1979. The live side for Notes from San Francisco was recorded at those shows. Would love to celebrate my birthday by putting on a plaid shirt and enjoying Rorys

What a fitting tribute to Rory … a celebration of his life and music.
Since his death, Rory’s reputation has grown, and I’ve come to realize the sheer scope and immensity of his talents.
Would love to be amongst his fellow musicians to pay my own tribute at one of my favorite venues, The Aladdin !!

Yes, I realize that I did already leave a response earlier but failed to mention how much my husband also loves Rory Gallagher’s music. In fact, my husband is the person who first told me about him back in the late 80s. It was the early 90s that I was really hoping that he would’ve played at our own Waterfront Blues Festival but the cost of getting him and his band here was very expensive so this is great that there is a show at the Alladin celebrating his life and his music. I am sure he would be proud to know that people still are thinking about him. So yes, my husband and I are huge fans and would love to be comfortably sitting at our favorite venue, the Alladin Theater and perhaps even singing along with the music. Please pick us, this would make a wonderful end to an otherwise very stressful year
