I hope responding first gives me more of a chance at some tickets. I really like how I get a chance to peer into the life of someone articulating important events in their lives. Great idea and I like the environment also. I would really like to take my new friend to this.

  21. Amie November 21, 2018 at 8:53 pm #

Hi, I am rather new to the city. I am East Asian, and so far has felt that Portland is the most polarized city around identity among cities I’ve lived in. I would love to hear the stories beneath the surface of people from different backgrounds in my new city. I would also love to draw inspiration as I’m hoping to get on stage to tell my own stories someday. Thanks for putting this together!

    • PDX Story Theater November 24, 2018 at 10:56 pm #

Dear Amie, I think that you would feel quite welcome at Portland Story Theater. It’s an eclectic, multi-generational audience and the stories are from people from all walks of life. Best of luck!

  22. Aaron November 22, 2018 at 1:24 pm #

Well, we certainly always enjoy good stories, especially the wacky ones!

    • PDX Story Theater November 24, 2018 at 10:57 pm #

Dear Aaron, Good stories, yes! Wacky… not so much. But good luck anyway!

  23. Leigha November 25, 2018 at 1:57 pm #

    • PDX Story Theater November 27, 2018 at 2:53 pm #

Dear Leigha, Thank you. Yes, the honesty, humor, and humanity of this art form is always a good experience. Best of luck!

  24. Madison November 26, 2018 at 9:34 am #

Absolutely love stories from Portlanders. I love listening to the Moth, and it would be fun to see some live storytelling finally. Would love to win!

  25. PDX Story Theater November 27, 2018 at 2:58 pm #

Madison! Yes, there’s nothing like live storytelling and, unlike the Moth, it’s not a competition. Best of luck!
