1300 NW 139th St., Vancouver, WA 98685

Two years after his debut performance at Skyview Concert Hall in 2016, local pianist extraordinaire Dimitri Zhgenti returns to the stage for a performance of Khachaturian’s monumental Piano Concerto. Vancouverite and successful instructor of a private studio, Dimitri Zhgenti has been playing the piano for over two decades. A student of renowned concert pianists Alexander Toradze and Mark Westcott, Mr. Zhgenti’s intense artistic stylings showcases grand Russian tradition. The orchestra continues its 40th Anniversary of world-class music with Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, or, the “Scottish Symphony.” Inspired by the ruins of Holyrood Chapel at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland, the picturesque symphony swells with emotion and incorporates components of Scottish folk dance and folk music. Music Director and world-renowned conductor Maestro Salvador Brotons returns to Skyview Concert Hall for his 28th season.

I would love to attend, “Scottish Symphony No. 3: Classical Concert,” for this reason:

I want to “HEAR” the music with, “MY BODY!”

My 30yo daughter played flute in High School which included the symphony. I loved it! I know certain music does move me. I feel it.

Just last week I was telling my friends about event tickets that were available to us for $5. I’m reading the list out loud. I come across, “The Oregon Symphony.” I told them I want to go to a symphony before I die. “I want to hear the music with my body.”

I listened to this piece on YouTube. YES, it does move me! YES, I feel it! This Evokes Such GREAT EMOTION, I CRIED! I can only imagine what I’d do, “HEARING IT LIVE WITH MY BODY!”

I hope I could get there with Trimet!
