Pick me because I’m a glutton for punishment and that incline to the peak of the bridge makes me tired just driving over it!

I moved to Astoria from my home state of Indiana because of a seminal childhood movie. I called it home from ’02-03, and then again in ’07-’09. That bridge has always been a favorite of mine. Whether I was riding my motorcycle across it, terrified while I had to lean into the wind just to stay straight, or salmon fishing unsuccessfully underneath it, it’s magnitude will always impress me. My brand new fiancee and I love getting back to the old town and this would be a great excuse. Plus, I could definitely use the exercise before the wedding.

    Thank you!

OMG, I can’t believe only 13 people replied to this awesome giveaway. What uncommonly great odds for a contest. I would love to do the run. How often do you have a chance to jog, run, walk over a 4 mile bridge over the mighty Columbia River with no cars? It’s going to be a beautiful morning, the scenery will be amazing. I did this run over 10 years ago and would love the opportunity to do it again now with my spouse. We literally just got back from an anniversary trip today, so this event slipped under our radar, but we are considering making it happen.
