We are giving away a pair of tickets to Happy Hour at the Zoo: Party for Birds on July 11. To win, comment on this post why you’d like to attend. Winner will be drawn and emailed Friday, July 6.
4001 SW Canyon Road, Portland, Oregon 97221
Grab your friends, family, date or coworkers and head to our happy hour event for drinks, lawn games, local food carts, photo ops, wildlife sightings and other fun stuff.
Visitors who are 21+ can enjoy a zoo experience with dates, friends or family at an adults-only event. Having cocktails at the zoo isn’t just fun, it helps raise awareness and support for the zoo’s mission of creating a better future for wildlife through its animal welfare, education, and conservation programs.
Get dinner from local food carts such as CS Fishery, tastebud, Pok Pok, Verde Cocina, Ben & Jerry’s, Pip’s, Ruby Jewel and Zeds, and enjoy beer, wine, signature snacks and cocktails. The new Rogue Condor Kolsch, which was made in collaboration with the Oregon Zoo as a way to support endangered California condors, will be available.
Each happy hour will feature a different animal theme and July 11 will focus on some fine feathered friends who live at the zoo. A highlight will be the Wildlife Live show, with bird flights right over the heads of event guests!
Tickets are $24.95 per person, $19.95 for Oregon Zoo members. Happy hour tickets will include zoo admission, one drink ticket, lawn games, photo ops, keeper talks and crafty activities. Train and carousel rides and rock-wall adventures are available for an additional charge.
There are two VIP ticket options: The Penguin Experience ($175) and the Macaw Experience ($175). VIPs will be able to meet, hang out with and photograph a penguin ambassador; or go behind the scenes with macaws, watch them create colorful paintings and take home a piece of their art. VIP tickets include early admission starting at 3:30, reserved parking, a behind-the-scenes encounter, a buffet, free beer and wine until 6 p.m., and a drink ticket for after 6 p.m. Tickets
