November 24, 2017
Doors 7 p.m., Show 8 p.m. | $20 | All Ages

Revolution Hall
1300 SE Stark St., Portland, OR

OK Computer is an album that yields infinite creative inspiration, and as such it will be performed in its entirety both nights, but in different ways reflecting the creative choices of the singers and cellists (some pieces instrumental one night and with vocals the other, for example). The album will be contrasted in true Cello Project fashion with a unique assortment of complementary classical music arranged by Cello Project members Diane Chaplin and Kevin Jackson.

The ensemble will be huge, including a full band, an orchestral section of world-class cellists, and winds and brass.

I absolutely adore the Portland Cello Project. If I had the money, I’d be buying tickets to this event in a second. I’ve always felt that listening to the cello is akin to great orgasmic sex.
Also, OK Computer?!? As a 90s kid, I listened to Radiohead on repeat in my bedroom with black and purple checkerboard painted walls.

Radiohead has been my favorite band for 16 years. I flew to England to see them in 2007. I was watching them the day my ex-wife called and said she wanted a divorce (so I got to cry while in the front row, with Thom Yorke singing and looking me in the eyes). This would be a joy to attend.

  45. Mikey B November 16, 2017 at 3:42 pm #
