2017 OPsFest: Free Shakespeare Performances in Portland Parks | Schedule: All’s Well That Ends Well, Julius Caesar, Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest & More!

Original Practice Shakespeare in the Park Fest 2013

Original Practice Shakespeare Fest is dedicated to bringing a new style of Shakespearean performance to Portland, and the surrounding area, by reviving the old. Their actors perform using the same performance techniques as they did in Shakespeare’s own time, which means limited rehearsal; an onstage prompter; fast-paced, energetic acting; and lots of audience interaction!

Each Summer, OPS Fest brings no-cost Shakespeare to the Portland Public Parks. This year’s roster adds “The Tragedie of Julius Caesar” and “All’s Well That Ends Well” to the 15-show season. August 11th and 12th, the company travels to Nehalem Bay State Park to perform these two shows. To close out the season, OPS Fest continues the tradition of an All Gender/Identifying Double-Header at Gabriel Park. This year an all male/identifying “A Midsommer Nights Dreame” will be performed at 2PM and an all female/identifying “The Tragedie of Romeo & Juliet” at 7PM

About WIL Festival:
