Wrinkles – (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Wrinkles is a five piece synth rock band birthed and bosomed in the glorious state of Montana. They employ multiple synthesizers and guitars to create a danceable, youthful rock sound. Wrinkles songs range from dark and ominous dream pop to upbeat rock and roll. Drawing influences from a wide range of artists such as The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Beach House, and The Beatles, Wrinkles builds a sonic foundation based on interlocking hooks and powerful melodies.
Small Million – (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Portland duo Small Million (Ryan Linder & Malachi Graham) met on the dance floor and united in the bedroom (studio), where they spend many hours polishing their moody, lyrical synth pop. Rich, textured tracks with soaring melodies; wistful and cautiously optimistic.
Since their song Six Feet was selected for the PDX Pop Now! compilation in 2014, they have been hard at work crafting songs that blend Malachi’s melodic roots in Americana with Ryan’s eclectically influenced electronic layering. This show is the release party for their debut EP, Before the Fall, featuring five tracks that highlight their range and draw on the pair’s very different musical backgrounds.
Each Both – (Set time: 7:00 PM)
Each Both is, and will forever be, in pursuit of the perfect pop song. Lead singer and songwriter Victor Johnson is inspired by every decade of music, from the gee-whiz sincerity of the 60s to the grunge-y sneer of the 90s, and gleefully lets the influences shine in the music. The four-piece group’s goal? To plant music in your head and let it grow.
