Treat the whole family to a city wide scavenger hunt with Urban Adventure Quest, which turns Portland into a giant game board!

Urban Adventure Quest has created an interactive scavenger hunt that combines the fun of the Amazing Race with a three-hour sightseeing tour of Portland. Guided from any smart phone, groups make their way among well-known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history.

The adventure begins in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and takes you on a journey to see the best sights of the city. From the Arts district to Powell’s bookstore and Voodoo Doughnuts … as well as amazing stops in between, you will enjoy all that Portland has to offer. The tour requires approximately 2.4 miles of walking and you will also experience the city’s famous street cars.

Using a smart phone as “the guide” allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play. Stop to enjoy lunch or take in the sights… why not, it’s your schedule? Offered at a fixed price for a group vs. per person pricing, this city tour/game offers a great value to those on a budget.

  34. Alessandra Koenig July 13, 2016 at 9:33 am #

    I’d love to win this for many reasons;

    1) my husbands family would play a similar game with the whole family in teams back in Germany, and I’d love to give him a small piece of home here in the US.

    2) we’ve had an unfortunately rough journey in the last year and not a lot of time to share together, but although things are still rough in both our realms we are finally moving back to portland after a year of horror elsewhere. Of course, I’m aware that by far our lives have not been and are not as challenging as the lives of many, but in a way, even small compared to most, we’ve had our hardships.

    3) my birthday is on the 17th and I realize the draw was the 8th, so I might be too late, but if not I would have liked to gift my husband the tickets as a gift to myself.

    Thing is, I know that a little team work adventure that has no consequence but that of fun and laughter would truly benefit us personally and as a couple!

    Warm wishes,

    Alessa

    I am in complete love and in awe with this city I get to call home. Coming from a lifetime in the desert, I am amazed how nature and art, have somehow “vomited” throughout the entire city! Every weekend I make myself walk & explore a new section, literally highlighting the streets off, on a giant street map – pinned to the wall by my door. Meeting people has been hard though…If I win this, I will put out a notice somewhere for other random people, also new here, to join my team….I love exploring and this just sounds like too much fun!

    This would be the icing on the cake! (Our wedding cake, actually!)
    Gentry, my fiance, and I will be in Portland in July on our adventurous honeymoon after our wedding! This will be our first time travelling together by ourselves and we adore loving on new people and learning history. Gentry is absolutely a history buff and I love a fun challenge. This would be the perfect way to start our amazing race as a married couple!
