Coronation is a duo consisting of long time Northwest musicians, Joshua Blanchard and Andy Brown. Andy Brown cut his teeth with many bands, including Seattle space rock pioneers, Jessamine, and Southern Lord recording artists Fontanelle. Joshua Blanchard played with Synth-punks Point Line Plane and Psychedelic act, Plants.

The duo released their debut album Rumor, earlier this year on Warble Records. The record brings together elements of Synth pop, Italian disco and up tempo New Romantic crooning into a tasty aural blend that’s both fresh and familiar. Rumor delivers a rare instance of electronic based music that’s written in real time, with real instruments, and without the use of sequencers. While most dance music lives in the thrill of the moment, Coronation explores what happens the day of the party and divulges autobiographical tales of broken relationships, hangovers, and burning the candle at both ends.

Unsafe dartz
Unsafe Dartz are a 6-piece rap band from Portland, OR who play a live, funky “throw-back” style of smart, energetic hip hop.

My husband and I have had a rough year and need a night out away from our 4 year old son to help rekindle our relationship. We have spent the last 8 New Year’s Eve celebrations (every New Years since we’ve been together) with his whole family. We need to start this new year off right, and I have always wanted to spend New Year’s Eve in downtown since I turned 21. I am now 28 and think it’s time! I’m currently a full time student so we are currently living off a single family income, winning these tickets would be a dream come true. Sorry for the sappy post but it’s all sad but true! Please pick me!

This looks like an awesome thing to take my visiting bud from Florida and show them why Portland is amazing. Hope you can help make it happen with free tickets :)

This is literally the type of event I’ve been looking for since coming to Portland. I love funk, hip hop, electronic, throwback music, and don’t get me wrong, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the music scene in Portland but I miss getting down to music like this. Ahh looks so fun!! :D

Nothing would make this new years memorable like the possibility of losing an eye! My wife and I each have two, so.. if one gets poked out by a dart, … we’ll live. Let’s give this a shot!
