I was born and raised in Michigan, the state that oozes Christmas cheer. We can’t help ourselves, as we are buried for 6-7 months out of the year in a gigantic snow bank. Christmas is the only thing that stops us from going stark raving mad during those long dark days of winter when you can’t even open a window for air because it is too cold. My family lived from paycheck to paycheck but we always tried to make Christmas special. Our house that was built in 1856 had no fireplace but using faux wallpaper that looks like brick, my parents built a fireplace so Santa Claus had someplace to enter. Forward 28 years into the future, (we had moved to Oregon) and when I was in college my parents moved into a trailer home, but they continued to celebrate Christmas in a big way by taking the entire front porch and making it into a winter wonderland using a model train set and a myriad of small village pieces including ice skaters on a pond. Now my mother is dead and my dad is in a senior center but it just isn’t Christmas for us unless we do it up big, and attending your spectacular Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical would help make that happen for us! Thanks!

I mean, all I really can give ’em other some free crap is the stuff we stole from Terry. I really got to step up my game this year. Hey, let’s go talk to Julian about riggin’ this raffle…

At the age of six, I lived through a tornadoe that passed between our trailer and the barn beside it. I remember hiding in the closet with my youngest sisiter watching the walls inhale and exhale. That sister is turning 22 on the 12th, and I would love to take her to see the theatrical re-telling and relive the nestalgia!
