Opening acts include Bri Pruett and Virginia Jones with the show hosted Shannan Hunt.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Kiggins Theater in Vancouver, Washington at 7pm, doors open at 6pm Tickets can be purchased online at www.vidasark.org for $40 per person. All proceeds go to benefit operations and programming at Vida’s Ark.
Vida’s Ark is entirely volunteer driven and relies on community support and donations for operations and programming in the shelter and Lighthouse Community Center. Vida’s Ark is only one of two maternity homes in the Clark County area and the only one specifically serving teen mothers and their children in Vancouver. Hope Baker, co-founder of Vida’s Ark, said, “We are striving to change the perception that teen mothers have limited options. We provide a home, a place that is safe, and a place where they are encouraged and empowered. We are a family.”
About Vida’s Ark
Founded in 2007 as a shelter, Vida’s Ark provides safe, supportive living conditions while teaching young mothers life and parenting skills to become self-sufficient, educated and healthy parents themselves. In addition, Vida’s Ark operates the Lighthouse Community Center, a positive, safe, and encouraging environment, where any and all teen parents can receive maternity and baby related resources in order to provide for themselves and their children.
