Melvin is best known for his long friendship and musical partnership with cultural icon and guitarist Jerry Garcia and the smile of his that lights up the room. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”. From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up. Melvin brings an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table.

Craig has played with people like George Porter Jr., Donna Jean Godchaux, Bill Kreutzmann, Steve Kimock, Melvin Seals, Bobby Vega, Jeff Pevar, Hutch Hutchinson, Damian Ershine, Greg Anton, Barry Sless, and Robin Sylvester and has played as part of Cast of Clowns, Zero, and Steve Kimock and Friends. Craig has recorded two cd’s: Elijah’s Dream of Trudy (with Melvin Seals, Daniel Fretto, Martin Fierro, Vince Littleton and Alex Baum) and Cast of Clowns’ Have a Heart (With Bill Kreutzmann, Greg Anton, Melvin Seals, Greg Anton and Hutch Hutchinson.) Craig has published songs with Megatrax and BMG, publishes short stories regularly in national literary magazines, and has one book of short stories, Redemption Center, with Bear Star Press. He has headlined the main stage of the Oregon Country Fair, played in the Dominican Republic, Hawaii, Canada and all over the U.S.

Mark Karan has played guitar and sung for a number of different artists, including Dave Mason, Huey Lewis, Paul Carrack, Delaney Bramlett,[1] Sophie B. Hawkins, and The Rembrandts.From 1986-1989 he was the guitarist and co-producer for the band Slings & Arrows which included Daniel Levitin on bass. In 1998 he was selected to fill Jerry Garcia’s slot in The Other Ones,[3] a band featuring former members of the Grateful Dead. He played with the Other Ones on their 1998 and 2000 tours, and recorded on their only album in 1999. He has also played with Mickey Hart’s Planet Drum and Phil Lesh & Friends over the years.In 1998, Karan joined RatDog,[4] a band led by Grateful Dead alumnus Bob Weir. Karan was part of the RatDog lineup for most of the next 13 years. He also records or composes a wide variety of music for film, television, and music libraries. His contributions to TV alone can currently be heard on over 15 networks and internationally in over 25 countries.

Greg has performed on numerous recordings and at thousands off concerts worldwide. He has played most extensively with his band Zero, which has released eight albums and performed over 1300 concerts. Greg began playing drums at age 11. At age 13, due to an accident, he suffered a traumatic amputation of his left hand. Using a prosthetic device, he continued playing drums and began performing professionally while in high school. He’s published more than 50 original songs, many of which were co-written with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. Greg has also composed music for film, TV and theater. Among others, Greg has performed or recorded with John Cipollina (Quicksilver Messenger Service), John Lee Hooker, Stanley Jordan, Otis Taylor, Nicky Hopkins (Rolling Stones) and members of the Grateful Dead. He currently tours with The Rock Collection, featuring Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz (ALO), Stu Allen (JGB, Phil Lesh and Friends), and Robin Sylvester (Bob Weir’s Ratdog).

    Oh this show would be the BEST! Melvin Seals played with JGB and I can’t believe I still haven’t seen him live. Plus Mark Karan is golden!
