Location: Multiple Venues Across Portland

Soul’d Out Productions is proud to announce the lineup for the 6th annual Soul’d Out Music Festival, taking place from April 14-20 across the best venues in Portland, OR. SOMF has made a name for itself nationally by bringing together an eclectic blend of musical genres and styles under the umbrella of “Soul Music,” and this year is no different. Featuring world-class musicians from across the globe, SOMF’15 is the biggest and best year yet for Portland’s fastest-growing city-wide festival.

Following in the festival’s tradition of pairing distinctly complimentary artists on to one of a kind bills, SOMF’15 once again strikes a unique chord with such pairings as the “screaming eagle of soul” Charles Bradley alongside 21st Jazz/Fusion pioneers BADBADNOTGOOD as well as the Roots Reggae legend Don Carlos with “the Hendrix of the Sahara” Vieux Farke Toure as part of this year’s big 4/20 celebration.

The major pairing for 2015 is none other than Hip Hop impresario Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) packaged with DC-punk legends Bad Brains for an incredible night that will include a set of Bey’s extensive catalog, along with a Bad Brains set with Bey on lead vocals—SOMF is honored to present for the first time ever/anywhere “Mos Brains” as part of this year’s festivities.
