Martin Sexton
Remember that mix tape your friend made you way back when – the one that’s etched in your soul? Martin Sexton’s new album Mix Tape of the Open Road is that musical cross-country trip, blazing through all territories of style, as you cruise through time and place. This record is a charm bracelet of twelve gems all strung together with the golden thread of what Rolling Stone calls his “soul marinated voice.” Sexton will perform tunes from Mix Tape as well as your favorite Martin classics on this tour.

Brothers McCann
Brothers McCann creates dynamic palettes of sound, weaving sweeping three-part harmonies over rustic reinventions of folk-rock. Mike, Pat and Erik nurture the heart of their New England musical upbringing with three unique songwriting styles on rotating display. The raw simplicity of acoustic guitars, keyboard and vocals welcomes the eager, patient listener to invest in their melodies and experience an honest, live performance.

Been wanting to see Martin Sexton live for a long time. This would be a great chance for me to do just that! And the new album sounds very intriguing. Thank you for the opportunity PDX Pipeline.

I would really enjoy going to this concert. I have always had a great time at the Aladdin.

i LOVE Martin!!! He has helped me through a break-up, two moves across the country, has bonded me with my four sisters and an entire kitchen staff at a time when I was a cook and played him everyday in the kitchen! I’ve seen him live, but it was many many moons ago. I saw him with my sisters and the show literally moved me to tears. It was THAT powerful and amazing. I have recently moved to Portland (where my youngest sister lives) and would love– LOVE–the opportunity to win tickets (as the wallet has taken a toll on the increase in living expenses when you’re used to Missouri wages and rent) and would gift the other ticket to my sister. What a cool experience that would be to see him again together!! I’m afraid I won’t be able to go unless I win tickets. Here’s hoping (and keeping my fingers crossed)! THANKS!

Martin concerts are not to be missed. The universe has aligned such that I will be in Portland on another mission for my non-profit, the Society for Ecological Restoration NW, and so I could actually be here for this event!!!!! I would love to turn on my old alternative high school pals who live in Portland, to Martin, his talent and his music. They are on tight budget, one being a substitute high school teacher.
I LOVE Portland! and Martin SExton!

He is one of the best performers I’ve seen! I saw him acoustic in California and you couldn’t even tell he didn’t have a band. He uses his instruments, vocal chords, and even reverb to create his songs! Talent

  17. Hank February 24, 2015 at 9:41 am #

I love rap music! Gonna try to get up on stage and beatbox with Marty if I win.

Is it too late to win free tickets? Feb 28 is my husband’s birthday and I was reading the pipeline to find out what might be happening on his birthday. Martin Sexton was the first concert we went together to over 7 years ago. Martin Sexton will always be an all time favorite and he puts on such a great show.

  19. Isa February 24, 2015 at 12:55 pm #

I LOVE the Aladdin – it’s essentially my favorite venue because of the great acts and cool ambiance! I’ve heard great things about Martin Sexton and would love the opportunity to see him for free at my favorite Portland venue! Thanks for the chance!

  20. Megan February 25, 2015 at 8:37 am #

    Martin Sexton
    Put his vest on
    He’s the best in
    Songers and singwriters
    and string delighters.
Graces the air, graces the ear
I hope I am at the Alladin and not
    Left sitting here.

  24. Zoe February 26, 2015 at 10:53 am #

The Aladin always has the best shows – I love discovering new music that I’ve never heard before!

  25. Mark February 26, 2015 at 12:11 pm #

Love Martin’s music. Would love to go.

  26. Chris Johnson February 26, 2015 at 3:25 pm #

Birthday weekend, no plans yet, what do you think?

  27. Stacy Alexander February 26, 2015 at 3:33 pm #

Martin Sexton is great. I seriously doubt if anyone would appreciate Martin Sexton tickets as much as I. I adore his music and have been eagerly awaiting the release of his new album. I am a long-time fan of both Martin AND the Aladdin, but I seldom have the opportunity to attend events such as this. Tickets will not be wasted on me. That’s for sure. I have 3500 followers on my blog and will most certainly write about the show, if I get to see it.

    Dang. I hope I win.

  28. David W February 26, 2015 at 4:08 pm #

I have never been to the Aladdin and it has been a long while since seeing an acoustic concert. Martin Sexton would be great to see at the Aladdin! :)

  29. Tracy Newton February 26, 2015 at 5:34 pm #

I love Martin Sexton and it’s my dream before I die to see him live in concert.

  30. lorea February 26, 2015 at 5:41 pm #

I really need a night of good music. Like bad.

  31. James February 26, 2015 at 5:54 pm #

Really enjoy Martin live. Thanks for the opportunity.

  32. Tim February 26, 2015 at 6:04 pm #

Mr. Sexton writes songs that sound like they hurt and he sings ’em like he means it. Who could ask for more than that out of six strings & the truth?

  33. John Barinaga February 26, 2015 at 6:24 pm #

This would be fantastic. Just listened to them !!!!!!!!
