Looking for a way to turn Portland into a giant game board? Entertain your our out of town guests this month with a city-wide scavenger hunt!

Urban Adventure Quest has created an interactive scavenger hunt that combines the fun of the Amazing Race with a three-hour sightseeing tour of Portland. Guided from any smart phone, groups make their way among well-known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history.

The adventure begins in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and takes you on a journey to see the best sights of the city. From the Arts district to Powell’s bookstore and Voodoo Doughnuts … as well as amazing stops in between, you will enjoy all that Portland has to offer. The tour requires approximately 2.4 miles of walking and you will also experience the city’s famous street cars.

Using a smart phone as “the guide” allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play. Stop to enjoy lunch or take in the sights… why not, it’s your schedule? Offered at a fixed price for a group vs. per person pricing, this city tour/game offers a great value to those on a budget.

I’d sniff it out like a bloodhound gang, like I’m running to the building where the roof is on fire. I care about those motherf*•#ers. I don’t want them to burn!

I’ve never been to a scavenger hunt! It is a smart idea to get to know the city while looking for treasures. Being a tourist, I suppose it would take me FOREVER though.

My hubby and I love scavenger hunts and such brain absorbing activities…..but I bet this one is much cooler than the one Raj created for his friends on Big Bang Theory (although my friends and I are geeky enough to do that as well.)
