As Gloria Estefan’s sea captain grandfather once told her as a young girl,
    Turn the boat around,
    Love to hear the rudder.
    Don’t capsize upside down,
Or else I’ll tell your mother.
    : )

  37. Leisl November 8, 2014 at 7:00 pm #

My friend is coming out from Chicago for just one night. This would be a great way to both make him feel at home on a river tour and see the ways in which we keep portland weird.

  38. Kathy Rankin November 9, 2014 at 12:48 pm #

I have been on a few cruises and they are so much fun. My husband has never been on these cruises. My first experience on the river cruise in Portland, OR was during the WaterFront Blues Festival, It was Canned Heat on one deck. Goin’ up to the Country playing loud…wow! What a night, and 2 other bands on the other decks. It got me hooked on music and cruising for sure! So I signed up, after that rewarding experience, to the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise the big ship. I really want my husband to see how much FUN these cruises are! So Please Pick us for this cruise! Plus I really want to hear White Wedding, Journey, the Stones, pat Benetar, Joan Jett, the rockers….Bruce Springsteen, Bob Segar….bring it on! Start rolling out the records, my favorite DJ….play me the songs that made me WANNA DANCE….Dancin’ the night away….dance, dance, dance, I wanna hear some Steve Miller Band, too…oh yeah, how about some Van halen! Rock on….to BAd Company (is that 70s?) The years have just rolled on by…its now 2014 WHERE DID THE TIME GO? Geeze, my daughter is 26 she was born in the 80s. I quit drinking in the 80s. I have been sober since 1989. That should be reason enough to get on the boat!

  39. Brooke November 9, 2014 at 6:18 pm #

I’ve never been on a river cruise … and hopefully I won’t be like Goldie Hawn from Overboard.

  40. Danielle November 9, 2014 at 9:21 pm #

I’ve always wanted to try one of these cruises.

  41. Tom November 10, 2014 at 12:19 pm #

*0’s dance party on the water?! YEs Please

  42. Michelle November 12, 2014 at 8:26 am #

Ooo! Pick me! Because its all about the 80s!! AND ive been looking for a reason to bust out the shiny reflective spandex!

  43. Red_Scarf November 13, 2014 at 9:30 pm #

’80s music & culture were tubular; except, bringing a dude as a date wouldn’t have been as easy in the Reagan years.

  44. Jefferson November 14, 2014 at 9:25 pm #

It may be 2014, but man, my moves like the 80’s can’t go wrong with that.
