The goal of this festival is to celebrate the unique voices of women in comedy, providing inspiration and increasing visibility for the top performers of today and tomorrow. It encourages collaboration and dialogue and highlights the great diversity of artistic approaches amidst female comedic performers today. Programming for All Jane No Dick 2014 includes stand-up showcases, an improv workshop, podcasts, a film screening, panel discussions, and special themed shows.
Most events will take place at Curious Comedy Theater (5225 NE Martin Luther King Dr.), which produces and sponsors the festival. A special opening night show will be held at Helium Comedy Club (1015 SE 9TH Ave.) Wednesday, October 15, and small shows will take place at Alberta Street Pub (1036 NE Alberta St.) throughout the festival.
