Looking for a way to turn Portland into a giant game board?

Urban Adventure Quest has created an interactive scavenger hunt that combines the fun of the Amazing Race with a three-hour sightseeing tour of Portland. Guided from any smart phone, groups make their way among well-known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history.

The adventure begins in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and takes you on a journey to see the best sights of the city. From the Arts district to Powell’s bookstore and Voodoo Doughnuts … as well as amazing stops in between, you will enjoy all that Portland has to offer. The tour requires approximately 2.4 miles of walking and you will also experience the city’s famous street cars.

Using a smart phone as “the guide” allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play. Stop to enjoy lunch or take in the sights… why not, it’s your schedule? Offered at a fixed price for a group vs. per person pricing, this city tour/game offers a great value to those on a budget.

  3. Davey September 4, 2014 at 12:59 am #

So I am a student living in PDX as of Jan 13! I am originally from the east coast and have been amazed at how different the PNW is. I am honestly so excited to continue to explore the Portland/Oregon area and get to meet the wonderful people of the PNW! Almost everyone I come across is open, friendly and just wanting to enjoy some good conversation. I am blown away by that! Would love to get the chance to explore more and take part in this really rad quest!

  42. Arry September 16, 2014 at 11:20 am #

Where do I start? First off I’m unemployed, which makes it difficult to pay for something like this even tho it would be so great to do. Second I’m having a difficult time right now trying to figure out my goals, wants, needs in life and I’ve been somewhat depressed for a while now. It’s hard to leave the house, I don’t have many friends since I’m a recent transplant from the east coast. My partner works about 75 hours a week, so they don’t have much free time. Basically if I won these tickets I would feel 100% obligated to use them and would get me up and out doing things. Maybe meet some people or at least get me socializing a bit. I just need a reason to get out and do something. This would be a pretty great way to do that. I’m not trying to be a pity party, this is just the reason why I’d love to win these tickets.

However, we find Portland to be beautiful and would love to win this experience to explore areas she (Portland) has to offer!

  47. Brian September 25, 2014 at 6:47 pm #
