Your favorite and ours, the hilarious host of THE MOTH podcast, DAN KENNEDY, will return to host on the 18th and perform in both shows! And…another E4P favorite, BETH LISICK will join the show as the host and special guest on the 19th! Each night performers will do different stuff — so why the hell not come twice??

The rest of the night’s performers are made up of the ensemble of the monthly E4P: New Shit Show! Who are they, well, folks like Singer/Songwriter Laura Gibson, McSweeney’s Author and Emmy-Nominated filmmaker Arthur Bradford, Moth StorySLAM host + PICA and TBA festival regular Andrew Dickson, Standup Comedian extraordinaire Amy Miller, Writer/Actor Vin Shambry, Professional Poet Mindy Nettifee, Writer and Veteran of the Bands Shee Bee Gees and Eux Autres Heather Larimer, and McSweeney’s/Hobart contributor, video maker and creator of Entertainment for People B. Frayn Masters.

E4P: New Shit Show favorites The Deb Leopards (Heather Larimer, Tamar Berk) will perform both nights!

Looks like a seriously shit show no kidding!! With two acts I’d love to see, Amy Miller and Laura Gibson. Sure I’d become fans of the others too. I might have to spend money I don’t have to not miss this show.

This show combines seven things that I love: videos, stand-up, music, raucous readings, weird stuff, doing things, and Disjecta! And this weekend, I’ll be moving just down the street from Disjecta, so it would be a perfect housewarming present!

This looks like an interesting cultural experience for a developing adolescent like me. I’ve never been to disjecta either.

I arrived in Portland last night, here for four weeks. Drove cross country from Toronto. No real good reason for being here except that i have Northwest weddings in early July and another one in August. What sense does it make to come out twice? So here I am, trying to connect with this city and her people. Where better to make these connections than Entertainment for the People? I will have anecdotes in hand, and lint in my pockets.
