{March Fourth Marching Band}
With a rallying cry of “JOY NOW!” MarchFourth Marching Band (known as M4 by its growing legion of fans) throws itself and the audience into a swirling volcano of high-energy music and spectacle. What began as a Fat Tuesday party on March 4, 2003 in Portland, Oregon has become one of the nation’s best live touring acts.

Aside from the band’s marching band themed costumes, percussion corps and brass, M4 is far from a “marching band” in any traditional sense (though the band has been known to parade down Main Street before taking the stage). M4 is anchored by funky electric bass, and has been evolving into a more guitar- and vocal-driven musical experience. In one set the band will take you on a journey from the swamps of Louisiana to the gypsy camps of eastern Europe to the African jungle by way of Brazil, along the way stopping to sample the deepest grooves of the best of American funk, rock, jazz and boiling it all together in cinematic fashion with high-stepping stilt-acrobatics and sexy dancers.

In just the last year, 21-year-old Santa Cruz producer G Jones has captivated young audiences across North America with his playful and expansive take on broken beat dance music. His live show weaves an ever expanding catalog of heavy knocking hip hop beats, cross-genre experiments, and expansive melodic riffs in a way that illuminates and drives the dance floor. With his irreverent attitude toward unimaginative EDM, this young producer pushes the envelope and blurs the lines between musical styles while maintaining a meticulous balance of minimal space and heavy bass.

{Just People}
Just People are a soul-rock outfit based out of Portland, Oregon. Derived from the mind of idealistic front man Scott Gilmore, Just People combines the optimism of our past with the dedication and energy of today’s youth.

The band has drawn comparisons to artists throughout the genre spectrum from Pearl Jam and The Flaming Lips to the Talking Heads and Cat Stevens. One thing is for certain, Darcy Wallace of the Oregon Voice states: “JUST PEOPLE are tough to pin down, but damn it, it just sounds so good.”

Perfecting the art of audio alchemy, Bay Area based DJ/producer Michael Anderson Lapp aka MiHKAL is quite possibly one of the west coast’s best kept secrets. Notorious for his emotionally charged, melodically driven, bass heavy mixes, remixes & live performances, he provides dancers & listeners a sonic vehicle of transformation from which their own creative expressions can emerge. Equipped with an ear for euphonic pleasure & the ability to seamlessly weave, poly-tempo, multi-genre sound tapestries on the fly, MiHKAL can provide the soundtrack of the moment. The intention he puts behind every show shines through, providing a personable unique experience to every live performance.

Barisone is without a doubt one of PDX’s best loved DJs. His magnanimous presence and penchant for putting the dancefloor into sublime outer spaces is well known. With versatile crates that seamlessly span the upfront to the time tested, Barisone comes with dj sets filled with his own loops, layers, and edits that always set the party off.
