You guys had me at roguish rats! I would love to see some roguish rats!

Okay the truth of the matter is that I would love to take my little girl who is six years old and finally able to sit still through an entire ballet. I guess I can play a roguish rat here so she gets the gist of it, it would be best to leave it to someone who knows how to dance.

Awarding us these tickets is like saving me from pulling a muscle dancing around like a rat.

The nutcracker is my 6 year old’s favorite — he knows all the music and plays soldier fighting the mouse king throughout the year. We moved to Portland this year and I wanted to take him like I do every year, but I can’t find a cheap local high school performance like back home in the Midwest. I thought we were going to have to forego it this year… maybe not…

  77. Katie December 6, 2013 at 12:34 pm #

    Best Christmas gift ever

  82. aimee December 7, 2013 at 5:44 pm #

My whole life I wanted to do see something that would be beautiful and magical. The closest to ballet I have ever came is seeing the nutcrackers that are sold on the shelves in gift shops. I’m finally at a point in my life where I can appreciate art and beauty , going to this show would be a small dream come true.

  83. Holly Sweeney December 10, 2013 at 11:28 am #

I have never seen a ballet in my life and I have been wanting to for over 20 years! This is my time, and there is not better ballet than the nutcracker. Please please let this be my first ballet, give me the chance to finally see what it is all about. By simply picking me, you can know that I will sit with my eyes all aglow and my mouth wide in awe as I laugh and smile at the magic of this great tradition. I hope that this will finally be the one. Thanks for considering me.
