Spend an outrageous Christmas Eve with a churlish Santa, a kidnapped elf and a handful of hapless souls in need of some holiday spirit.

Amid the shrapnel of yuletide yearning, broken dreams and poignant revelations, can the magic of the season spark hope in their hearts? With these two riotous, irreverent short plays that even Ebenezer Scrooge could appreciate, be prepared for a pair of good old-fashioned, foul-mouthed, feel-good holiday anti-classics … and just a wee dusting of that cherished Christmas feeling.

Two award-winning playwrights • A holiday debauchery double-bill for mature audiences

  4. Jamie November 25, 2013 at 3:59 pm #

I love naughty holiday shows and I love Artists Rep! It’s so hard for me to get in the spirit with all of the terrible holiday remixes playing everywhere, but I think this would do the trick. Thank you for offering this stellar opportunity!

  5. Austyne November 25, 2013 at 4:19 pm #

I partially hate Christmas. This would make me happy.

  6. Blake Longacre November 25, 2013 at 5:33 pm #

Xmas unplugged! Yeah, like the perfect combination of egg nog and MTV!

  7. Courtney November 25, 2013 at 6:44 pm #

I feel the Christmas noose tightening around my fragile neck about mid-August. I know I’m going to have to take a bevy of barbiturates to prevent the inevitable opinion induced aneurism due to the onslaught of questions regarding my life choices and be surrounded by children that are sticky and sick. It really is like entering the entire 9 Circles of Hell all at once. I need a break, so please consider me to attend this event full of dirty words and whiskey, LOTS OF WHISKEY.

  8. Mollie November 25, 2013 at 7:37 pm #

    Foul-mouthed Holiday Classics. Perfect!

I am starting a new life after 22 years and have not been out to do anything fun and worth while in 15 years and there are so many things in life that I have missed and would love to go to this and everything else out there this Christmas season.

Three years ago I met my wife around this time and we are trying to enjoy all that Portland has to offer for the Holidays. What better way to get in the Holiday spirit than with some laughter and naughtiness

  21. Tracy Lea November 27, 2013 at 7:59 pm #

A fab way to make friends with the people sitting next to you. Who needs to worry about feeling lonely or that they didn’t get their holiday cards in the mail? Awesome show after a festive a drink or two would make the holidays a delight.

  22. Mark November 27, 2013 at 8:51 pm #

This would be an excellent UNPLUGGED event not only for the humor, but I had unfortunately lost my job this week and it would surely boost our holiday. Thanks for consideration

I have a great date lined up if I win the tickets. We will celebrate the holidays with contempt, vitriol, and reckless humor while sober and not eating sweets. We may even watch porn on the morning of December 25th.

Wanting to see if you losers have come up with anything better than last year’s bs*t.

  35. Charles Moore November 29, 2013 at 10:36 am #

    I love Theater and Christmas.

  36. Rob November 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm #

There’s a winner right here – Holla! X to the M.A.S. you can just go ahead and delete the rest. The others don’t mean a thing with they comments and they silly Xmas dreams. We’ll be rollin’ up to the theater makin’ a scene cuz we got lots o’ that Xmas bling.

    We got the soul.
    Winnin’ is the goal.
    So let me know something…

Otherwise we be hoppin’ in the jet and flyin’ over to the North Pole – Hollah!

  37. Gail Scott November 30, 2013 at 11:23 am #

I’d like to take my wonderful son to see this play because one of the people he admires most in the world (his former English teacher at Lincoln High School) always read a depressing short story aloud to the class about a dysfunctional family attempting to “celebrate” the holidays. My son thinks X-Mas Unplugged might corroborate the common perception that the holidays can be a weird and bizarre season for many people…or at least shed new light on many traditions we take for granted.

  38. Tracy M. November 30, 2013 at 1:38 pm #

The hubby and I could really use some naughty holiday fun! That would certainly be a nice break in the midst of all of the head-spinning Xmas insanity! Plus, my husband has never seen any theater. I’ve got to instill a little culture into that guy, and I think that this may be the only way to do it!!!
