This is the only way I will ever find healing from the times my dad made me dress up as a sack of potatoes (more like a pile of sh*t) for Halloween. How I came back from that, I will never know. My sister was always the cute black kitten and their I was….the awkward kid with bucked teeth that couldn’t stop itching from the burlap and crinkled newspaper I was forced to wear. Do you know how hard it is to run (waddle) for your life out of a corn maze in that costume?!? Take my word for it. It suuuuuuucks.

  6. Julie August 12, 2013 at 3:04 pm #

This would be so fun to go to with my mom. She is the source of much of my childhood awkwardness, and I would love to share this event with her now that my childhood is mostly in the past. :)

  11. Leann August 12, 2013 at 11:25 pm #

Hormones raging, depression, acne from hell, and stress. So glad I do not have to live those days again. It is however cathartic to hear about others misadventures during such troubling times.

When I see Mortified (granted I have only gotten to go once) I love that no matter what kind of day I am having, it is easy to see that we all have those days and that we can choose whether to be mortified by them or laugh about it and move forward. This would be fun to see again.

I love Mortified! It both reminds me of the quirkiness of adolescence as well as the torture of it.

  22. Julie August 15, 2013 at 9:18 pm #

I still have all my diaries and journals- from age 5! Sometimes I appreciate that I can look back. Other times, I feel like a real masochist.

I need to see this- it might just make me feel better!

  23. Kelli August 15, 2013 at 9:41 pm #

I love watching story tellers so this should be great fun.

  24. Lindsay August 15, 2013 at 10:31 pm #

I must attend this show to verify that there is indeed a more mortifying experience than, as a curious six year old, announcing to your father (as a method of sussing out the definition of a word that I wasn’t quite clear on) that I wanted to strip.

  25. Cheri August 16, 2013 at 12:11 am #

I saw this last year and it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever experienced. Would love to see how another show compares. Perhaps it will spur me to enter my own story in the next one. I definitely have plenty to choose from
