McTuff is visiting you again and this time we’re bringing some friends along! In conjunction with Portland’s finest music venue “The Goodfoot” we present a special event you should not miss:  “THE SEAMONSTER VISITS THE GOODFOOT” !  A night full of groovy Sea-Creatures

Some of the best of The Seamonster here in Seattle visit one of Portland’s best music venues “The Goodfoot” on Saturday April 13th. Get your dancing shoes on and get ready for one of the funkiest meet-n-greets yet.

Hammond organist Joe Doria brings together some of the best of the NW music scene to create a powerful and jaw-dropping funk and jazz sound like you’ve never heard. A mix of stellar musicianship, seasoned songwriting and deep groove where no musical stone gets unturned. McTuff is a movin’ and groovin’ adventure that you will not soon forget, featuring the impeccable Andy Coe on guitar and the incredible Tarik Abouzied on drums.

F2D brings one of music’s original genre’s and reminds you of how funk and soul have helped shape American culture as we know it. F2D doesn’t hide the fact that funk and soul is the very foundation of what they are and has shaped their sound because they know that there’s one thing that doesn’t change, the very foundation of American music. F2D gives you a big welcome to their brand of American roots. It makes you move. You can’t help it. It’s almost involuntary. With influences like the incomparable Parliament/Funkadelic, Motown, Stax Records, Jimi Hendrix, Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, Lyn Collins, Bobby Byrd, Morris Day and The Time.

Bucket of Honey, this neo-acoustifunk Hip Hop Duo is made up of one part Nate B. and one part Annie J. Nate, guitar and vocals, and Annie, flute and vocals, have a few important things in common. Both are devout choir nerds with a dedication to tight harmonies, pleasing melodies, and solid rhythm. With a wide variety of styles their music ranges from original rap battles to B52’s-style rock, soulful ballads to fist pumpin’ bangers, and uniquely arranged covers you never thought you’d hear again. Bucket of Honey has spent the last two years growing and honing these skills. Having completed their first EP, “Easy to Swallow,” they are gearing up for their first full album due early 2012 entitled, “Songs We Wrote for Something Else.” This album will feture tracks the band wrote for theater and film as well as song writing competitions and showcases.

Hell ya! Love me some Skerik and have been wanting to catch Bucket of Honey for awhile. Time to get some funky get down on!

Absolutely love McTuff. Haven’t heard the other bands before, but if they frequently share the stage up in Seatown with McTuff, they have to be good. Sounds like this one is going to light the venue up early and continue all through the night. Love the Goodfoot, will end up here on Saturday night regardless of winning. Thanks for the opportunity.

Funny, the first time I saw McTuff (a year or so back) PDX Pipeline said it would be a jaw-dropping experience. I wrote that I wanted to attend because I wanted to see a bunch of people with their lower jaws drooling on the floor.

I didn’t win tickets but I did attend and DANG, Pipeline was right again!!! My jaw was figuratively lying on the dance floor while my feet got happy! As promised, McTuff brought it then, they’ve done it since, and they’ll do again Saturday! Cheers.

First of all, McTuff is the greatest name for a band. Ever. Second of all, I saw Bucket of Honey at Edgefield and they were divine. I’d love to go!
