  13. megan January 17, 2013 at 11:38 am #

growing up on the Oregon coast you are very particular about your seafood… Never been to this event. I would love to go. Maybe take my mom who still lives at the coast. Great mother daughter bonding!

  14. Jessica January 17, 2013 at 11:38 am #

As a pescatarian (and a wine-o), I’d love to go!

  15. Leland January 17, 2013 at 11:44 am #

Oooo! Wine and seafood! What a treat! When I was 14 I had my first taste of shrimp and ended up in the hospital. Two months ago I mistakenly ate some Crab Bisque at a restaurant that shall remain nameless. Well, apparently 12 years later my food allergy has subsided and I’ve been going on a shellfish frenzy!

  16. John January 17, 2013 at 11:44 am #

    crab people

  17. Erin January 17, 2013 at 11:50 am #

“Help me, I’m poor!” (Bridesmaids-style plea). No one in the history of the world is a bigger crab/seafood fanatic than me. I’m not bragging, it’s just a fact. Even with a tiny baby income, I have been known to throw down $40 to get my greasy claws (PUN!) on a pound of crabmeat from Whole Foods when I’m feeling down. Please please pretty please with melted butter on top pick mee for tix to the Wine and Seafood fest! I would die happy (and fatter). OMG OMG OMG.

  18. DonnaLee January 17, 2013 at 12:02 pm #

Your festival is the only one we go to! There are other Seaford festivals around but the drive is too long and we don’t go to it. Yours is much classier the atmosphere and we enjoy the people and food !! !

  19. Bradford January 17, 2013 at 12:03 pm #

Free passes would be sweet! I have never gone to the Festival and this would be a fun way to hang out with this new girl I met! She’s a white wino.

  20. Ellyn January 17, 2013 at 12:11 pm #

Portland sells sea crabs by the river side.
I’ll close my eyes & pretend I hear a tide.
The wine is grown akin to the food
To not swallow it would be very rude.
I intend to be festive & fat on MLK
    Only elastic waistbands that day
To enjoy the bounties of my lovely region
Listening to the gospel that Crab is preachin’.

  21. Carlen January 17, 2013 at 12:12 pm #

    Pick me, Please!

  48. Tiffany Gilly January 17, 2013 at 3:59 pm #

I would love to win because my fiancé and I just got engaged and it would be terrific to go out on the town. We’re recent college grads (he still has one more semester) and we have little funds for anything nice like this, so surprising him with a nice wine and seafood night would be absolutely divine!

  50. Cindy January 17, 2013 at 4:00 pm #

  65. Evelyn Tataje January 17, 2013 at 4:09 pm #

I’d love to win so I can take my vegan son to his first non vegan meal in 6 years. And he’s doing this just to please his neurotically worried mother that if he doesn’t get some meat on those bones soon he’ll wither away.

  66. Julie B January 17, 2013 at 4:09 pm #

I have lived here for over 5 years and while I have gone to quite a few wineries, I have yet to find a great spot for seafood. I also have not yet attended this event and have thought of going each year! My attendance would be a must if I win!!

  67. Kait January 17, 2013 at 4:09 pm #

This sounds amazing! I have been a strict vegetarian for 14 years, and just a couple of months ago I started eating sustainable, local seafood. Favorite dish so far? Dungeness crabs. It would be incredible to attend and explore all of the options that I have been without since I was 10 years old. I’d bring my boyfriend who loves seafood above all else! And last but not least, we both love wine! Thanks for the consideration.

I’d like to go cause it is always awesome. Seafood and alcohol the best combination.

  100. Amy January 17, 2013 at 4:48 pm #

Who doesn’t love fresh Oregon seafood? A lot of Oregonians, that’s who. Not enough venues offer fresh Oregon goods–Olive Garden, Red Lobster, McCormick & Schmick’s! The few that do, Salty’s, Shirley’s Tippecanoe, etc, are not terribly well known. We have a bounty at out fingertips that some homegrown folks don’t care to experience. Please pick a seafood lover who moved from Texas for many reasons, one of which includes a desire to connect my children to seafood that is edible–Texas seafood or water is neither edible nor potable. Let’s hit that! I neeeed that Dungeoness!

  101. Elizabeth Makhobey January 17, 2013 at 4:49 pm #

  105. Paul January 17, 2013 at 4:59 pm #

My new wife and I moved here to the area. She is from Alaska and obviously loves (and misses) the abundance of seafood. I chose this area because she loves wines, and I thought that the Oregon area would be a great option to try and have the best of both worlds for her….she would be blown away with an opportunity like this! Thank you PDXPILPELINE! You really take great care of your subscribers!

Winning a free trip to the Portland Seafood and Wine Festival would be an incredible (and delicious) way to celebrate our successful completion of one of our New Year’s Resolution – do a Whole30 and get fit! We would truly savor every sip and bite!

  115. whiseykitty January 17, 2013 at 5:21 pm #

  275. Matthew January 24, 2013 at 4:07 pm #

I come from the Chesapeake Bay country of Maryland. Maryland Blue Crab is hhhhhard to beat, but with my discerningly polished seafood palate that I’ve honed since birth I’ll be able to decide whether Dungenous is really all that you west coasters say it claws up to be. I came out of the womb with a crab mallet in hand and bib tied to my neck.

  276. Sarah January 24, 2013 at 4:20 pm #

    Sounds awesome!

  277. Elizabeth January 24, 2013 at 4:23 pm #

I’d like to attend because my boyfriend and I are very poor and never get to go to anything so grand. I’ve never been in the Oregon Convention Center. He’s a Vermonter and we adore seafood and will never be able to afford this. I recently had a major surgery. I need to celebrate and he needs to get out of the house! I always write nice, long responses and never get picked. Please let this time be different!

I went to the seafood and wine festival last year with my best friend and it was so much fun! My husband hates seafood so I rarely get to eat it (the smell makes him gag) and seafood is my FAVORITE type of food. I bought a wine glass last year and it broke in the sink:( I would love to go again! Every single thing I tried last year was amazing.
