My son is 8 years old and LOVES bowling!!! He practices on his Wii all the time. However, we don’t have lots of money due to our situation, so tickets like these would normally be out of our reach. I support the fundraiser and would love to see more money flowing into our schools and would buy tickets if it were in our budget.

This event sounds awesome! Raising awareness of School Bond (whether locally or on a national scale) is a much needed resource available to the public, and what better way to do it than being able to meet with mayor, Sam Adams, himself at the event?? I would love to attend this event to further raise awareness of our school systems; however, money is rather tight right now as a college student. Free tickets are a super bonus!

The Portland School Bond matters to all of us. We have an opportunity to help in small way the nation’s economy and in a very large way our community’s children by passing a school bond that will improve our local schools and public facilities. To do this we must contribute ourselves, with financial, volunteering and income per household. These funds will put people to work and save jobs within our school district by remodeling, reducing energy and maintenance costs to run school facilities. In these hard times, the sensible thing to do is support this bond measure with your votes. I hope many will see the wisdom in this choice. Vamos Si se puede!

I’m glad this event is happening, because it is everyone’s responsibility to support public education as part of the social contract. I haven’t bowled in awhile, either. Great fun for a great cause

I would like to win tickets because it would be great to participate in the school political process. Unfortunately, tickets to these great events are usually out of my budget on spurr of the moment. My two boys and I enjoy bowling and could have a blast!

  15. Kelly G September 20, 2012 at 10:25 pm #

I’m all for education and I love to bowl for a good cause, so if I win I will invite all my friends from the Hollywood district and around Portland to come join me and my girl friend for some benefit bowling. Besides, they talked us into several benefits to help mentally challenged adults get off the couch and stay active, so they owe us one :)
