Pick me! I want to win because Palm Beach Story has one of my favorite all-time lines in it: “it’s one of the great tragedies of this life that the men who are most in need of a beating up are always enormous.”

  4. Alisha Berthelot July 23, 2012 at 1:34 pm #

Sounds like a fun event. I’ll be visiting from Sac and would love to win.

Beautiful! I have never been to an rooftop movie screening.. come to think of it, I have yet to visit a Portland rooftop. I am very fond of anything outdoors, especially having to do with the arts.

Rooftop cinema is such a great idea! I’ve always loved the Portland skyline but have never enjoyed it from that vantage point. Plus, The Palm Beach Story is a great flick. I would do anything to get in on this!! I’ll shine your shoes, tell you that you’re pretty, and only speak generously of you until the end of time. Also, I’ll have a wicked awesome time…that’s the point, right?

I’m falling in love with this city more and more every day! Portland seems to do everything in a unique way, even the way they view movies! Zombie watching under the stars while sipping a glass of wine, who can miss opportunities like this?! I would love to win a pair of tickets to this so I can afford to treat someone special to go with me!

  10. tim July 23, 2012 at 2:38 pm #

I’d love to go to this event! I love Portland Parks’ Movies in the Park and really enjoy outdoor cinema – the chance to go to a rooftop movie seems even better!

Wow a movie out on a rooftop! This would be an awesome experience. My Birthday is on Aug. 1st and it would be incredible to win these tickets. It would make my birthday a happy one. I’ve never watched a movie outdoors so this would be new and exciting =D

Last year my girlfriend and I went to see the 007 movie playing, but didn’t realize it was cash only. So, we drove all the way down town just as the movie started, then we went home, as we would have been ridicuously late if we had gone to get cash. On top of it all, we parked in the hotel, which we were told would be free, and had to pay to park as we left. Bad experience. Redeem it. Thanks!

  22. Dom July 24, 2012 at 3:13 pm #

I have a 1st date scheduled and wasn’t sure what to do, this would be perfect! I’d love to go :)

  23. don July 24, 2012 at 6:52 pm #

ERRRRMMMAAAAAHGGGGAAAAWWDD! I need to win these tickets!!! My friends just hosted a Hitchcock a thon – it was amazing.

  25. Lucy July 26, 2012 at 3:17 pm #

Any part of the description of this movie could serve as an entirely different, but equally magical film. Drugstore cowboy? A Wienie King? Sounds like Midnight Cowboy meets Sabrina. How have I never heard of this? I have never been to anything like this and would love to go.

  26. Jason July 26, 2012 at 3:20 pm #

This sounds great-A very interesting enviroment for fun and whatnot!!!

Love the rooftop. The only time I made it out was 2 years ago for Willie Dynamite. The movie malfunctioned and had to be shut down. I’d like to saunter over from my office and give it another shot. NW Film Center is great! and Always fun seeing Illana the cute ticket taker.

I’m interested in attending the ‘Hedwig’ showing. Is it something you must exclusively win? If so- How!?
