  • Oregon Brewers Festival raises a mug in a toast to its 25th annual year of celebrating craft beer

  • Festival to feature 84 beers in main tent, another 40 in the Buzz Tent and debut a new Sour Beer Tent

On a sun-soaked July afternoon, there’s no better place to sip suds with friends than the Oregon Brewers Festival, one of the nation’s longest-running and best-loved craft beer festivals. Nearly 80,000 fans will travel from points around the world to take part in the 25th annual event, July 26 through July 29 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. Event hours are Noon to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and Noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.

From Belgians to Browns, Doppelbocks to Dunkels, Pales to Pilsners and Scottish ales to Stouts, the Oregon Brewers Festival serves up more than 20 beer styles from 82 craft breweries from around the country. There are 84 beers in the main tent – one per brewery plus two gluten-free offerings – and another 40-plus in the Buzz Tent. This year, organizers have also announced they will add a Sour Beer Tent to the festivities, bringing awareness of one of the latest craft beer trends to a massive audience.

The Oregon Brewers Festival is first and foremost a celebration of beer, but the event also features four days of live music, food booths, craft vendors, and industry displays. The Crater Lake Soda Garden provides complimentary handcrafted root beer to minors and designated drivers. Minors are allowed into the event when accompanied by a parent.

Admission into the festival grounds is free. In order to consume beer, purchase of a 2012 souvenir mug is required and costs $6. Mugs from previous years will not be filled. Beer is purchased with wooden tokens, which cost $1 apiece. Patrons pay four tokens for a full mug of beer, or one token for a taste.

Alternative modes of transportation are encouraged, with free monitored bicycle parking available each day. The main entrance is at SW Oak Street and Naito Parkway, one block from the MAX Light Rail line.

The Oregon Brewers Festival takes place during Oregon Craft Beer Month, a celebration of craft beer by Oregon’s specialty breweries.  During the entire month, a variety of special events will take place at craft breweries throughout the state, culminating with the Oregon Brewers Festival.

The Oregon Brewers Festival was founded in 1988 as an opportunity to expose the public to microbrews at a time when the craft brewing industry was just getting off the ground. Today, that industry has flourished, especially in Oregon, which has 107 brewing companies operating 139 brewing facilities in 55 cities. Portland alone has 48 breweries – more than any other city in the world. For more information about the Oregon Brewers Festival, visit

  13. Sean Stutzman July 10, 2012 at 18:12 #

They say we’re supposed to drink 15 gallons of water per day to stay healthy. My sink is broken. This will give me the opportunity to take in a week’s worth of liquid. This is a matter of life and death. Can you look yourself in the eye by letting me dehydrate?

Sheezus! And you expect me to know math?

  14. Oliver July 10, 2012 at 18:12 #

    Beer me, PDXPIPELINE!

  15. Donny July 10, 2012 at 18:13 #

I’m an Oregon native that has been raised here in almost all the surrounding Portland areas. Portland being the longest. I’m the stereo typical portlandian. Dreads, stretched ears, tons of tattoos, and a bird on my chest. Lol! Any who! Ha! Funny the bird on my chest is an owl, I said who! Lol! Look at me with the cheesy pun, so yeah Thanks, have a splendaful day. :)

  16. Patrick July 10, 2012 at 18:15 #

It’ the BIG ONE! Must attend, not to be missed!

  34. Jessica July 10, 2012 at 18:23 #

84 beers to try, Challenge Accepted

  37. Nic July 10, 2012 at 18:24 #

My wife and I need to go because then we could afford a sitter for the kid and enjoy some craft beer. Also our anniversary is 7/31, it would be a nice way to end craft brew month and start our anniversary week.

  38. Michael Buchanan July 10, 2012 at 18:25 #

Only 10% of the fun of Brewfest could be had with three little ones tagging along. Winning one of these packages could make it fabulously easy to afford a high-end babysitter.

  39. Marty Anderson July 10, 2012 at 18:25 #

    Bring it on!!!!!!

  40. CindyM July 10, 2012 at 18:26 #

My daughter LOVES beer and is flying in from Fort Collins for the Brewfest’s 25th anniversary. Winning a “beer package” would be a great way to kick off this mother/daughter special weekend. Thanks PDXPIPELINE!

  41. Brandon July 10, 2012 at 18:27 #

It has been 10 years since I’ve been down south to the Brewers festival. It would be amazing to return and try all (or as much as my liver can stand) of the beers offered.

  42. Nick July 10, 2012 at 18:27 #

I’m a beer enthusiast traveling from SF up to Portland for OBF. Last time I visited, I had a blast in a glass and discovered some of my now favorite beers! I’m bringing a big group with me and planning on converting some Bud Light drinkers into Craft Brew lovers. :)

  43. Andrew Thompson July 10, 2012 at 18:27 #

This event is a great way to sample new beers and try new styles. As a home brewer I get new ideas for potential brews when I attend these brew fests. Plus OBF is an all around great time!

  44. Tyson C. July 10, 2012 at 18:29 #

I wait for this year round and to help out with my budget this would be a lifesaver! Thanks for the giveaway.

  45. Evan July 10, 2012 at 18:29 #

Because I went last year and it was great, but I can’t justify airfare and admission this year. I could justify airfare for this, though! I also have more breweries to visit there (hit about 10 last time), so there’s work to be done!

  46. Rob July 10, 2012 at 18:29 #

I have been to Brewfest the last couple years a couple days both years, so would enjoy going this year again. Will go even if I don’t win to enjoy the some of the best Beer!

  47. Ryan Hayford July 10, 2012 at 18:30 #

my in-laws will be in town that weekend and can’t understand why I moved their daughter to Portland. This would be a great way to show em why! They like drink, and even if they don’t like the festival I can still get drunk and more capable of tolerating them!

  48. Dave July 10, 2012 at 18:30 #

OBF! It’s like an extra holiday every year.

  49. Jared July 10, 2012 at 18:31 #

Because beer is wonderful, especially Oregon beer!

  50. Jeremy July 10, 2012 at 18:32 #

(Insert overly thought witty statement which makes me seem deserving while at the same making you feel a little sorry for me so that I may when the chance drawing here). It’s the OBF. Nuf said.

  51. Chris July 10, 2012 at 18:32 #

I would like to attend the OBF to not only enjoy the variety of beers but to also enjoy the company of fellow beer lovers

  52. Sarah S July 10, 2012 at 18:33 #

Oregon brewers are the best and this is the best brew festival of the year!

  53. David July 10, 2012 at 18:34 #

Awesome beer + great atmosphere along the waterfront = OBF in July. I’m there.

  54. Steven July 10, 2012 at 18:34 #

  55. Karlton Hahn July 10, 2012 at 18:35 #

I’ve never attended before. The event looks huge!!!

  56. Kevin July 10, 2012 at 18:36 #

One time a year where I can share with my like minded friends.

  57. Dan July 10, 2012 at 18:36 #

Hot weather + Hot chicks + Cold beer – Clothes = Good times!

I’d math aint your thing then relax, don’t worry. Have a home brew!

  58. Amanda July 10, 2012 at 18:37 #

I’ve been supporting my fiance’s homebrewing habit for years, even bought him his first kit. I even assist and encourage him when he hasn’t done it in a while. Now he’s gone from brewing as a hobby to doing it as a career that ranges through all types of fermentation and into distilling.
We’ve never been to the festival and I’d love to take him. I think it would be a lot of fun, but also encouraging to see all the smaller places succeeding in the industry. One more step towards getting him to try and strike out on his own someday.

  59. Chelsea H. July 10, 2012 at 18:38 #

I would love to attend to make new memories and experience all that the OBF has to offer! : )

  60. Stacy Tully July 10, 2012 at 18:39 #

  62. Tracy L July 10, 2012 at 18:39 #

OBF is my favorite beer festival. I didn’t miss it for 10 years till I moved to Seattle and didn’t go last year. I was so sad all weekend! I vowed never again and I am coming down and bringing my Seattle co-workers to see what it is all about! Seattle has nothing like The Brewer’s Festival! Help us get our two days worth, pick me!

  63. Seth Meisel July 10, 2012 at 18:43 #

Please Sir, can i attend? I like to travel from state to state, with a recreational vehicle that runs on vegetable oil, without papers. I would also like to grow rabbits and marry a fat american woman.

  64. Keith July 10, 2012 at 18:45 #

Almost didn’t make it this year, but circumstances changed and I’m currently in Medford! Will be coming up for the full weekend! Totally looking forward to the 25th year! I have volunteered at 7 OBF’s!!! 98-01, 03, 04, 09

  65. erik July 10, 2012 at 18:46 #

  77. Brian Gee July 10, 2012 at 18:58 #

It would make me feel so much better about having my bike stolen from there last year. I’ve been going for the last 15 years and last year ruined the great time I had.

  78. Nick Amendo July 10, 2012 at 18:58 #

I like hot sweaty crowds of beer loving freaks. And wooden tokens.

My boyfriend and I are flying out to PDX from Boston on July 28th, specifically for the beer fest! The thing I miss most about Portland is the amazing beer and we’ve made the OBF our must attend event every since I left Portland. The east coast breweries just do not compare to Oregon and the west coast and the hoptastic offerings. I would love to be able to surprise him with this! (Fingers and toes crossed.)

  97. Natasha O. July 10, 2012 at 19:33 #

Beer…beer…and more beer! Great entertainment and people watching alllll weekend long in the beautiful sun! Who wouldn’t want to be there?!?!?!

  99. John Wilger July 10, 2012 at 19:38 #

I’ve gone every year since 2005, the year that this festival was one of the things that convinced me I wanted to move out here. Going regardless of this drawing, but I do like free stuff.

  100. Nicole Swift July 10, 2012 at 19:38 #

I want to win because my bday’s on the 27th & my husb and I need a date badly! our 10 month old can even stay at her grams, I’ve already checked – BAM! :-D

  102. Tarka July 10, 2012 at 19:42 #

So far this is looking like it will be a good year. I do wish that OBF would make an android app and not the silly iphone one they do now. Will be there Friday at noon with about 15 friends and we all have droid phones. Been there every year for the last 12.

So looking forward to another good fest.

  103. Jason Clinch July 10, 2012 at 19:47 #

  111. frank July 10, 2012 at 19:53 #

I want to think I am lucky for at least a day. I’ve tried for a few of these things, but never bwen picked. I only enter the drawings I’ve really been interested in, and this OS definitely one of them. Plus I’m sure my girlfriend wouldn’t mind me finally doing that vague awesome thing I owe her since she beat me at scrabble last month.

  112. Kelsea B July 10, 2012 at 19:55 #

  113. Lindsay Crawford July 10, 2012 at 19:58 #

The question isn’t why, it’s why WOULDN’T I? I’ve attended for the last 5 years and it never fails to impress! I love to see the growth in flavors in originality, and with many celiac (gluten free) friends I am anxiously awaiting to see the many GF beers that breweries will be showing up with! It’s a yearly Portland traditioformat me and my friends always attend. Counting down to July!

  114. Josh July 10, 2012 at 20:05 #

My wife and I have attended every year since we met. This will be our fourth straight year, but our first as a married couple.

Free tokens for beer would be a perfect anniversary present!!

  115. Chris Renning July 10, 2012 at 20:08 #

I haven’t been in years and would love to see how it has grown.

  116. Aaron Jones July 10, 2012 at 20:10 #

So I can try to beat the number of different microbrews I tasted last year!

  117. Adam July 10, 2012 at 20:12 #

Been attending for over 10 years. Love the Brewfest. Need to keep those Kegs secure.

  118. Val July 10, 2012 at 20:15 #

The OBF is an annual tradition for me.
Last summer I moved back form England the last day of the festival. Didn’t sleep the night before, flew out in the wee hours for a 12 hour journey, got in to Portland in the early afternoon, and spent the rest of the day there having an amazing time with my mom, dad, sister, and late grandfather.

I look forward to making more great memories at the OBF, and have literally been looking forward to it for months.

Surely those are good reasons to win a beer package?

  119. Liesel July 10, 2012 at 20:16 #

Every year I can hear the crowd full of excitement as I approach OBF. I instantly know I’m with my people and that I will soon be surrounded by amazing new brews and some old favorites. I can’t wait to be there!

  120. Dennbam July 10, 2012 at 20:17 #

The mouth of a hoppy man is filled with beer…

  121. Nate July 10, 2012 at 20:17 #

  122. Derric Thompson July 10, 2012 at 20:20 #

  123. Christina July 10, 2012 at 20:22 #

I JUST moved from Milwaukee, WI and have yet to try an Oregon beer. I want to win the package and attend so that I can really see if your beers stack up to Milwaukee’s brews. :)

  124. Kelli Mimmack July 10, 2012 at 20:23 #

OBF. Yes please! Best event of the summer! Love me some Craft beer! See u there!

  126. George Schenk July 10, 2012 at 20:28 #

    I wanna go! I wanna! I wanna! I wanna!

We just moved here from Hoppy IPA San Diego and opened up a bike shop in the Hollywood area that serves beer on draft…yes…a bicycle shop!!!

I’m trying to convince my palate that NW beers are just as good or better than SD beers.

Please help me PDX Pipeline…you’re my only hope!!!

  127. Audrey Rose Goldfarb July 10, 2012 at 20:29 #

OBF is certainly a highlight of summer in Portland. Hoping I can swing it this year – my best new gal-pal finally found her long-lost love of beer!

  136. Chad July 10, 2012 at 20:34 #

    Ready for the beer fest!

  137. Doug July 10, 2012 at 20:36 #

The worst part of the Oregon Brewer’s Festival is that it only happens one weekend a year. That makes the rest of the year hard to get through. Too much fun!!!

  138. Todd July 10, 2012 at 20:37 #

So many beer events. Anything helps

  139. Chanel July 10, 2012 at 20:39 #

Me and my Husband’s first date was at the beerfest in 2008. Would love to win and replay put first date! <3

  140. Brandon July 10, 2012 at 20:41 #

I would like to attend the Oregon Brewfest because I love amazing craft brew and the OBF is so awesome I fly from San Jose, CA just to attend.

  141. Rachael July 10, 2012 at 20:42 #

I have been an “only wine drinker” but since I’ve attended this brew fest my delicate palate has been transformed. I truly enjoyed tasting all the delicious microbrews. Cheers!!!

  142. allison m July 10, 2012 at 20:44 #

Six years ago my husband proposed to me at OBF, since then we have gone every year for the beer and to celebrate that anniversary.

  143. Pam July 10, 2012 at 20:49 #

  144. keiran July 10, 2012 at 20:56 #

  147. Jerry July 10, 2012 at 21:05 #

I bring my wife to Portland once a year to see Dr. Brian Druker, the best Leukemia doctor in the world. It’s kind of scary and I could use a beer or three!

  148. Colleen July 10, 2012 at 21:07 #

I deserve to win because the last time I attend the fest I twisted my ankle waiting to get in so bad I had to go home. I did not even get a chance to drink great beer. :(. Help me have a better time this time. Thank you!

  149. Luke July 10, 2012 at 21:08 #

Taking family from Ohio this year. Sharing free beer is even better!

  150. Susan July 10, 2012 at 21:10 #

We are so looking forward to our first OBF at the end of the month. We’ve got our hotel, plane tix, and have a housesitter coming to care for our dog child too! My hubby loves his craft beer and I love free stuff :-) Thanks!

  151. Steve Maupin July 10, 2012 at 21:15 #

Only the best brew fest ever!

  155. Samantha July 10, 2012 at 21:21 #

This is my favorite yearly event in Portland. Since I moved back to Oregon 7 years ago, it’s become a family event involving the parents, a couple of siblings and significant others. Now that I’m brewing my own beers, I love trying new brews, especially specialty brews to get ideas.

  156. Doug July 10, 2012 at 21:32 #

    I like turtles

  157. Brenda July 10, 2012 at 21:36 #

because one of my son’s favorite things in the world is buzz lightyear and the buzz tent is one of mine!

  159. Brook Riddick July 10, 2012 at 21:42 #

We’ve had an informal group called PAD (Portland Area Decadence) who have been going every year for 15 years. It would be great if everyone could make it 16 despite the economy.

  160. Shelley July 10, 2012 at 21:47 #

The Oregon Brewers Fest is happiness in a mug! It’s the quintessential sign that summer has finally arrived in Portland!

  161. Vickie July 10, 2012 at 21:51 #

I am coming all the way from London to attend. That’s dedication. I will be enjoying lots of beer. Though the sour beer tent does not appeal. I love Portland and I love Portland’s beer

  162. Keenan July 10, 2012 at 21:51 #

    I love Beer.
    I love Portland.
And it will be my birthday!

Also, my truck has fleas, my wife broke down and my dog left me.

  163. Kyle A July 10, 2012 at 21:52 #

    Best festival ever!

  164. Greg July 10, 2012 at 21:58 #

  165. Tonya July 10, 2012 at 21:59 #

My husband and our kids have attended yearly for the last 6 years. We love our ipa’s, the music, and the atmosphere of the brewfest. Pick us!!

  166. Jason July 10, 2012 at 21:59 #

Having just moved to Oregon a little over a year ago and not having to fully experience what true beers taste like, I didn’t get to go this event last year. Now knowing and truly being able to appreciate what good (and bad) beers taste, look, and bring a whole new experience to your palet world! Basically getting this opportunity will bring a new appreciation to brews old and new to my beer world!!

    Cheers everyone and good luck.

  167. John G July 10, 2012 at 21:59 #

Just look outside. I would do anything to stay outside in this weather especially if it involves beer, especially Oregon beer. I will be there no matter what…

  168. Robert Vollan July 10, 2012 at 22:02 #

It is the event of the summer, thanks PDX Pipeline!!

  169. Greg Meyers July 10, 2012 at 22:06 #

The OBF is like Christmas day for Beervana. How could you not go ? And well, free is free !

  170. elliot July 10, 2012 at 22:18 #

  178. Tina July 10, 2012 at 22:36 #

I would like to win the beer package because this year is beating me and my husband down. I am usually the optimist, but the past few weeks has made me begin to see my glass half empty. I want to see it half full again. Hell, I wanna see it full…of beer! Thank you for your consideration.

  179. Liz July 10, 2012 at 22:37 #

Yo quiero cerveza!! (like the taco bell chihuahua?!?)
Cerveza gratis, cerca del rio Y en portlandia… QUE SUENO!!!!

  180. Ruth July 10, 2012 at 22:44 #

I want to win because its not only my birthday weekend, but my good friends birthday! We both want to go and celebrate with all of Portland with tons of great beer!

  181. Adam July 10, 2012 at 22:48 #

Send me so I can get some sweet waterfront A$$

  182. Robert July 10, 2012 at 23:00 #

Please! Please! Please! I have friends coming in from Phoenix that weekend, and this would be awesome to do while they’re here!

  183. Victoria July 10, 2012 at 23:01 #

I love Portland and Portland Beer but am on a tight budget currently so this would be so perfect! Love to hangout and drink in the sun with my fellow Portlanders!

  184. Brittany G July 10, 2012 at 23:04 #

I’ve wanted to go for years and haven’t been able to do so, it would be AMAZING if I could finally attend!!

  185. Caitlin E July 10, 2012 at 23:06 #

  186. Tomek July 10, 2012 at 23:10 #

  187. Ellie J July 10, 2012 at 23:12 #

I will be finishing the biggest exam of my life just before that weekend AND my best friend is coming in to town to celebrate. What a better way then free tickets to the Beer Festival! Pick ME!

  188. KMA July 10, 2012 at 23:17 #

    Free beer? Hells yes.

  189. Carolina July 10, 2012 at 23:17 #

Definitely like to have some fun with a friend and meet new people. I just love beer because it’s good for my health and soul :D Please pick me. Thank-you.

  190. Jamie July 10, 2012 at 23:24 #

It would be awesome to win because we just moved here from Alaska and it will be our first time to the beer fest. Also, my beer drinking grandfather is driving 4 hours to get here for this event, it will be his first time also… A big loving family, sharing memories, drinking beer!!!! Cheers!

  191. Andy P July 10, 2012 at 23:32 #

Good beer, good weather, good people.

    What’s not to like?

  192. Derek Wyatt July 10, 2012 at 23:55 #

I used to not like beer. That is until I volunteered at the Oregon Brew Fest about 8 years ago. I was given a load of tokens (enough to last me the next year as well). I found out that it wasn’t the fact that I didn’t like beer, it was the fact that I wasn’t trying the right beers.

Fast Forward to now, I’ve been attending infrequently however thanks to the Brew Fest I’ve found a host of new beers to enjoy. I even spent my bachelor’s party at the Brew Fest one year, but that was it.

I need to rekindle my passion for the Oregon Brewer’s Festival (especially now since I lost my job on the 29th). I’m going to venture into running my own business. If I had a little extra liquid courage from Brew Fest, I could probably seize the day!

    Hoping I win,

  193. Kevin July 11, 2012 at 00:23 #

I hate my liver and want to abuse it! :)

  194. Phil Boerner July 11, 2012 at 00:38 #

I would use the tickets to bring my sister who lives in Portland to the Beer Festival. I want to visit her and this gives me an excuse to visit — I love beer festivals! I’ve done a lot of impressive things in life, but I haven’t yet been to your beer festival!

  195. Kacie July 11, 2012 at 02:05 #

I moved back to Portland from San Francisco just in time for brew fest, which in my world ranks up there with Disneyland and Christmas! I’m going either way, but going for free would be amazing!

  196. Phuong July 11, 2012 at 02:38 #

I would like to win because I have never been to a beer fest before :)

  197. Nick R July 11, 2012 at 03:02 #

    Beer. Rock. Tits.

  198. Barrett July 11, 2012 at 03:16 #

    Free beer tastes better.

  199. Fabian July 11, 2012 at 05:20 #

For no other reason than I love beer!

  200. Kevin Michael July 11, 2012 at 05:41 #

This year will mark my 17 consecutive year that I’ve attended the Oregon Brewer’s Festival. I’m a native Oregonian, born and raised in Portland, but I relocated for work in 2002. This is such a great festival, a fantastic representation of what summer in Portland and Waterfront Park Festivals are all about. It’s a can’t miss for me, I’ve planned a trip home around the festival every summer for the past 10 years. See you on the Waterfront!

  201. Nate July 11, 2012 at 06:28 #

I want to win because since I’ve lived here I’ve either been away, or had to work during the festival, and have never actually made it. This is the first year I’ll be able to go, and I’d love to go and celebrate with this awesome package.

“Beer is proof that God loves us, and wants us to be happy.”
    -Ben Franklin

  202. Pamela July 11, 2012 at 06:59 #

Beer is awesome, Portland is awesome, and the OBF is by far the best brew fest around!!!

  203. Kirk July 11, 2012 at 07:36 #

Can’t wait to hit up the OBF again, this will be second our trip down from Seattle with the whole crew. Extra tokens will ensure extra fun!

  204. Lake July 11, 2012 at 07:46 #

Sounds like a fun event- would love to check it out!

  205. Luke July 11, 2012 at 08:27 #

My fiance brews and would love to be able to taste all the different brews!

  209. Katie July 11, 2012 at 09:15 #

Coming all the way from NY so I feel like I should be rewarded for my efforts!

  210. Anna Gaskill July 11, 2012 at 09:32 #

Why do I want to win? Because this festival is a tradition for me and some of my friends – every year we pilgrimage down from north of Seattle, fighting the “phantom traffic” of Olympia and Chehalis, shelling out a ridiculous amount on gas to get there, but never once being detoured from enjoying this day of drinking by the water, in the sun – some free tokens and mugs would take our experience from awesome to EPIC.

  211. Ben July 11, 2012 at 09:32 #

    Love beer and love Portland!

  212. Rachel Boshears July 11, 2012 at 09:33 #

I want to go to there.

  213. Nina L July 11, 2012 at 09:38 #

I went to the Organic Brewer’s Festival and really liked it. Would love to go!

  214. Emily July 11, 2012 at 09:44 #

    Beer = Awesome

    Portland = Awesome

Beer + Portland= So much awesomeness I might cry :)

  215. Brandon July 11, 2012 at 09:58 #

Over 200 responses…what?! Ok, Portland clearly loves beer more than this Bellinghamster could ever hope to. Still, I’d be thrilled to drive 4.5 hours down I5 for this. Cheers!

  216. Elizabeth July 11, 2012 at 10:19 #

You had me at “adding a sour beer tent.” PICK ME!

  217. Craig K July 11, 2012 at 10:25 #

    Thanks pdxpipeline

  219. JPotts July 11, 2012 at 12:02 #

My wife and I are coming down south for our one year anniversary. Us Canadians love to party in Portland. Even though i’ve never gone, all of my friends recommend it, and thrive on the beer there. My wife just came across this website and sent it to me. We now have plans for one of the days lol. How can we miss this!!?? Nothing would be better than winning this package for us. What a way to ring in our second year as a married couple.

  220. Tim McWilliams July 11, 2012 at 12:04 #

If I win than there is no way my wife can justify not letting me go. HELP, PLEASE!

  221. Matt July 11, 2012 at 12:10 #

Having spent many final full July weekends attending this festival, I have acquired an abundance of experience that allows me to say with assuredness that this is the best beer festival occurring in McCall Waterfront Park that weekend.

  222. Amanda July 11, 2012 at 12:21 #

I would love to win this contest because I love beer and I’ve never been to this festival before (actually I’ve only been to one and I got there too late to try anything good). Also, I am finally ready to conquer my fear of drunk frat guys.

  223. Julia July 11, 2012 at 12:37 #

Would love to win tickets for my birthday and go on the Thursday before the crowd gets too insane. Gotta love this fest of local beers.

  224. Bree July 11, 2012 at 12:37 #

My husband has never been. I have. We could go together! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease ;)

I would like to win because I already have a hotel room booked within stumbling distance.

  229. Jenn July 11, 2012 at 14:01 #

I’d guess that in the past 12 years of going to OBF we’ve dropped more than $400 on beer there… it’d be nice to get off a little cheaper this year!

  230. Michele July 11, 2012 at 14:16 #

As I’ve said since my first brewfest in 2000, this event is the best part of living in the NW. It’s the peak of summer! Sunny & 80 degrees at the waterfront, tons of great beer, hanging out with good friends…what more could you possibly ask for!?!

  231. Sherry July 11, 2012 at 14:46 #

Love the brewer’s festival, really want to see the bands on Friday night…Please pick me.

  232. Jason July 11, 2012 at 14:57 #

It is hard to ball on a budget, but I get by. This would not only help me hit up OBF this year, but I can afford a taxi home instead of a stumble!

    Love you Pipeline!!

  233. James Mossman July 11, 2012 at 15:13 #

I am a huge fan, figuratively and literally, of OBF and fly up from Los Angeles every year for the last 7. Will be there whether I win or not but would sure love to win!

  234. Jen July 11, 2012 at 15:41 #

Been coming from Sacramento the last four years to this event. We love it!

  235. Eric T July 11, 2012 at 16:14 #

    I deserve it?

  236. lorena July 11, 2012 at 16:38 #

OBF is the best event in the waterfront! can’t wait!

  237. Gail Oberst July 11, 2012 at 17:36 #

I’m volunteering at the fest Sunday so my free chips won’t kick in until next year. C’mon! Give a volunteer a free ride on Friday or Saturday!

  238. Jeff July 11, 2012 at 18:29 #

I would like to attend. May the Goddess of Beer! Ninkasi please summon your infinite wisdom and power to let the charming, talented and attractive folks at pdxpipeline pick my post for a free beer package! Cheers~

  239. Brian July 11, 2012 at 19:04 #

Coming from Pennsylvania to see OBF for the first time. Can’t wait to try so many great beers!

  240. Brett Dye July 11, 2012 at 20:18 #

I have been going to this festival every year for 15+years. I have paid my dues, I should get something back, don’t you think?

  241. James L July 11, 2012 at 20:48 #

Well brewfest is nothing but good peeps, great brew and a wonderful time. I can’t wait!!!

  242. RosannaC July 11, 2012 at 21:18 #

I had such a blast last year! It’s going to be part of my friend’s going-away celebration so I’d love to treat her.

  243. Leonard July 11, 2012 at 21:54 #

    Never miss the BrewFest!

  244. Michelle July 11, 2012 at 23:39 #

**It’s my perfect way to spend a birthday weekend!**

  245. Jake G July 11, 2012 at 23:57 #

I asked my girlfriend to marry me in the Berried Alive! Beer line (Ironically) last year.

This will be the first time we hit the Fest hitched!

  246. Adrienne July 12, 2012 at 01:25 #

I’ve lived in Portland for 2 years and have yet to attend a beer festival in this town. It’s a crime! Help me end this sinful streak!

  247. Colette July 12, 2012 at 09:26 #

My fiance and I would love to win a package and get some time together since we have been working opposite shifts in order to never put our baby in daycare and to save for the wedding. I’ve been working 4 different jobs: 2 restaurants and 2 wineries during the day and he has been working night shifts. This would be an awesome surprise for all our hard work. :)

  248. J-Tyme July 12, 2012 at 09:51 #

I am the Reverend for my good friend’s wedding. I’m helping with a significant portion of the planning. He wants to take all the out-of-towners to the Beer Festival for his Bachelor party. I’m sure he would appreciate any help with this as weddings are expensive.

  249. Theofanis July 12, 2012 at 10:11 #

I would like to attend because I am a Greek citizen and I want to put a pin on the “Where did you come from?” Wall that they have near the front gate.

  250. Dan R July 12, 2012 at 10:45 #

Since this always falls near my birthday I like to think of it as Portland throwing a special beer party for me. A big drunken beer party in which I allow thousands of people to attend…and get drunk.

  251. Katherine July 12, 2012 at 11:24 #

Beer is magical. Beer is good. Beer makes me feel like a real woman should. Beer is lovely. Beer is nice. Beer is definitely my favorite vice. So give me beer. I’m being quite clear. That those tickets belong in my hot little hand so I can take my husband and we can imbibe freely (pun intended) and I can tell everyone how rad, wonderful, gracious, amazing, stupendous and most of all generous PDX Pipeline is….*gasp*!

  252. Jerry July 12, 2012 at 11:29 #

Did I mention my wife and I will be celebrating our 33rd anniversary in Portland on the 28th?

  253. kat July 12, 2012 at 12:17 #

i come up from san diego every year for obf…because i prefer a cacadian dark ale over an escondidian dark ale ;)

  254. Christy July 12, 2012 at 12:39 #

Eighty four types of beer in a tent, eighty four types of beer…drink one down, pass it around, eighty three types of beer in the tent.

  255. Martay July 12, 2012 at 12:52 #

BOOBS!!!!!!!!!!! Now that I have your attention please pick me.

  256. Jocelyn July 12, 2012 at 13:30 #

Who wouldn’t want to attend the most legit brew festival in the Northwest!

  257. Danimal July 12, 2012 at 13:40 #

Please BeerMe. Awesome, a sour tent. Can’t wait!

  258. Michelle July 12, 2012 at 13:59 #

    Free beer?!?!

  259. Abby July 12, 2012 at 14:01 #

My friend is flying in from San Francisco for this, we would love some free passes!

  260. Andrew July 12, 2012 at 14:06 #

As a child in the village, I would peer through the windows of the local tavern. The men of the village looked so happy with their steins of pewter, cheeks of rose, and rotund bellies. I promised myself one day I would know that joy. Finally, my chance has arrived.

  261. Cathy July 12, 2012 at 14:08 #

OBF is awesome. My sister will be here from Georgia and is excited to be able to attend. She has really missed the great beer!! Excited she can go!!

  262. Amy July 12, 2012 at 14:10 #

I missed out last year and the heartache is too much to bear two years in a row. Have a heart, let this beer lover in!

  263. Tess J July 12, 2012 at 14:13 #

First weekend off with my hardworking night shift having, paramedic, beer loving husband in 3 months= epic beer fest lovey dovey times!!!!!!! *Pretty please face*

  264. Jeff Boyer July 12, 2012 at 14:15 #

Please make my 59th birthday (july 30th) a really special day with one of this years best beer events! Pick me for one of the packages and I promise to make you proud under the tent.. Thanks, JB.

  265. Steve Flisher July 12, 2012 at 14:21 #

My father is coming into town from out of state expressly for the purposes of this beer fest. Seems I’m secondary to suds… but really, who can blame him? Especially given the wonderful selection of craft beers!

It would be wonderful to avoid any sort of “meaningful conversation” with the old man, and instead allow us to revert to some half-drunken philosophy.

  266. Jabien July 12, 2012 at 14:32 #

    Beer me :)

  267. Stephanie July 12, 2012 at 15:45 #

I go every year, but I can’t afford to go this year. Please help me keep my tradition going.

  280. Brendan Smith July 12, 2012 at 16:07 #

Wow. This sounds amazing. I’ve been to a couple of other Portland beer festivals, but I’ve never been able to make it to this one. I would love to check it off the list.

  281. margit July 12, 2012 at 16:08 #

  282. Zoe July 12, 2012 at 16:08 #

I would LOVE to take my dad to this!! I leave Portland right after these dates – it’d be a great finale to a great summer.

  283. Elizabeth July 12, 2012 at 16:09 #

I have a friend visiting from Texas…..would love to show him how beer is really made. :-)

  284. mandy July 12, 2012 at 16:10 #

My boyfriend and I just moved to Portland and NEED a beer fest. We both need to drunkenly meet people, make friends and get out of our house and each other’s hair. HELPUS

  285. Tony July 12, 2012 at 16:12 #

I love beer! What more needs to be said??

  286. Amy July 12, 2012 at 16:13 #

The kiddoes are at grandma’s in Texas, and my friend Charity is here from Korea. She’s on a whirlwind “getting to know America again” tour after her separation from the ball-and-chain AND the military! What a great way to spend her time in Portland–with me, the Waterfront, the sun, and Portland beer! Everyone thinks of cold rain and hot coffee when they think of us–they never get to see us soak up the sun and suds. Tickets to the OBF will let me show a great and kind pal how delicious Portland summers can be.

  287. JohnnyBoy July 12, 2012 at 16:13 #

I’m 68 y.o. lover of beer, who has NEVER attended this, but would love to. Living on SS so this would help make it accessible. hope * hope.

  288. Jessica July 12, 2012 at 16:14 #

    Show me the beer!!

  289. Katie July 12, 2012 at 16:15 #

    Beer is good!

  290. Ryan Scott July 12, 2012 at 16:15 #

I have spent most of the last month overcoming various sicknesses on top of staying up on my classes (summer school = what was I thinking?), which needless to say has not left much room for enjoying a quality brew on these newly warm Portland afternoons.
Don’t get me wrong, I shouldn’t win because I have it worse than anyone else, because I most definitely do not, and I’ll be attending either way because some fun needs to be had! Winning would just be icing on an already awesome cake!

  291. Alex July 12, 2012 at 16:17 #

    I like beer.

  292. Lisa July 12, 2012 at 16:18 #

If I don’t win, I won’t go, and if don’t go, I would otherwise be really annoyed by all the drunk people careening over the waterfront and be in a bad mood. Help me stay in a good mood!

  293. Pat chilton July 12, 2012 at 16:19 #

As a Portland wannabe, located in Arizona originally from Upstate NY (Syracuse), I would be pleasantly surprised and pleased if chosen to attend. :)

  294. Jeanette July 12, 2012 at 16:19 #

I’d love to win so I can show my best friend how great Portland is! I haven’t seen her for years and she lives in the mid west and she hates the lack of fun events there!
Would be great to have a blast while she’s here!

  295. Laura July 12, 2012 at 16:20 #

Who wouldn’t love to attend this festival?! I would put these free tickets to good use!

  296. Nola July 12, 2012 at 16:21 #

    I’ll be there opening day!

  298. Suzz July 12, 2012 at 16:26 #

I need this because my hubby and I have our 27th anniversary coming up, and we want to celebrate, but he’s been unemployed for over a year. We love beer and it’s been rough giving up our beloved beer festivals due to finances.

  299. Rick July 12, 2012 at 16:28 #

My Wife and I will need these tickets because we will have just returned from our first camping trip with a one year old boy that is teething.

We will really need the liquid courage to camp another time.

  300. Andrea July 12, 2012 at 16:28 #

The main beer event I look forward to every year. This is the only time of year I get to sample one of my favorite breweries from my hometown of Minneapolis. Try the summit-youll love it!

  307. Alex July 12, 2012 at 16:39 #

I would love to go to this festival, as I am actually in town for it! Every year I manage to be out of town when this happens. My passion for good beer is unrivaled!

  308. Luke July 12, 2012 at 16:40 #

    I love festivals.

  309. Luke July 12, 2012 at 16:40 #

    I love festivals

  310. Suzi July 12, 2012 at 16:41 #

    A sip of wine
    Is not for me
    For only hops and malt
    Will set me free
    I crave my suds
    IPA, Porter or Stout
Lager, Session,Belgium is worth a shout,

  311. Dylan July 12, 2012 at 16:41 #

  312. Ashley S. July 12, 2012 at 16:41 #

Yes, yes, yes! Just celebrated our 4 year anniversary and weren’t able to do much. Would love to do this. Who doesn’t love beer!?

  313. kay July 12, 2012 at 16:44 #

This would be the perfect date to take my boyfriend on! Plus what’s not to love about beer and the waterfront!!

  314. MINH July 12, 2012 at 16:44 #

Beer, Beer, everywhere, but not a drop to drink…. unless you send me to this beer fest! I love all the fests in portland and you know how I find out about it? Because of PDX pipeline! Even if I dont win tickets, I am still going and THANK YOU for reminding me about it! You guys are seriously awesome!

  317. Tings July 12, 2012 at 16:52 #

Yes, Please! My cousin will be visiting from San Francisco and what a better way than to introduce him to some Oregon beer!

  318. Gretchen M July 12, 2012 at 16:54 #

pick me, pick me…I haven’t been in years and want to go!

  319. RG July 12, 2012 at 17:04 #

  328. Eric Donaldson July 12, 2012 at 17:25 #

I have the thirst of a camel the 3rd mirage he mistook for an oasis. Therefore i must attend said festival and quench my thirst at the most beautiful mirage in all of Portland. Pick me for free ticket and watch me do the camel dance!

  329. Diane July 12, 2012 at 17:25 #

I want to hear Kevin yelling…

  330. TJ July 12, 2012 at 17:26 #

The only thing better than the OBF Brewers Brunch, parade, and the tapping of the first keg, is the OBF Brewers Brunch, parade, the tapping of the first keg, and free mugs and tokens!

  331. Terry July 12, 2012 at 17:36 #

What a prize! I am excited for my friends at Natian Brewery who will be representing our fair city at the Fest! Let us go forth and be hoppy!

  332. Colleen Goff July 12, 2012 at 17:37 #

I just moved to Portland in December and I have never been to a Beerfest! My bf and I would very much like to go to this years Festival, but due to a series of unfortunate events that led to me being unable to work, we don’t know if we can afford to go. As my bf considers himself a conisieur of beer, he really wants to introduce me to the many wonderful breweries that have made Oregon so famous!

  333. bc July 12, 2012 at 17:39 #

In Homer’s words: Beer — the cause of and solution to all life’s problems.

  334. Anthony July 12, 2012 at 17:42 #

  341. doveva July 12, 2012 at 18:21 #

Don’t get out much, just finished grad school so have time enjoy the brewers festival this year. Looking forward to sun, fun and local beer.

  342. Pete July 12, 2012 at 18:21 #

Help me extend my consecutive attendance streak to four years running. Not long, I know. But I lived in Pennsylvania for my first visit in 2009. One year later and I had just moved to Beervana! Thanks

  343. James July 12, 2012 at 18:45 #

I grew up in Wisconsin and, throughout my formative years, I never had the chance to try a decent microbrew. Oregon is heaven to a man deprived of good beer for so long. A beer care package would be the greatest gift that I could ever receive. Also a Ferrari. Don’t forget that!

  344. Sara July 12, 2012 at 19:12 #

This is my first summer in Oregon and it’s lovely so far. I will definitely visit the festival regardless of winning tickets but it would be absolutely lovely to share the experience more thoroughly on a tight budget. Welcome me into your beery bounty, Portland!

  345. R.c. July 12, 2012 at 19:23 #

  347. mrs.o July 12, 2012 at 19:53 #

It’s our first summer in Oregon and it’ll be our first Brewers Festival. This would make it seriously awesome… :)

  348. Alea Bone July 12, 2012 at 20:38 #

I’m such a Hop-Head that I’ve got a Beer-themed Art Show at Amnesia for Craft Brew Month. I NEED this package!:-)!

  349. james worthen July 12, 2012 at 20:40 #

    An Ode to Beer

    Beer is a drink
    That won’t help you think
Nor will it help you drive
    But friendship it brings
    Where all men are Kings
    In upscale or a dive

    Beer is a drink
    Where the glasses clink
    And raucous cheers occur
    Put more down
    Your troubles drown
    Your vision begins to blur

    Beer is a drink
    Your coherence sinks
    And everything begins to spin
    The floor starts to quake
    Your hands then shake
    And everything’s a din

    Beer is a drink
    Your eyes now pink
    The liquid wants to leave
    You hold it in
    It hurts like sin
It ends up in a heave

    Beer is a drink
    A wonderful drink
    Your fragile life’s lynchpin
    Your breath starts to slow
    Above hovers a crow
    First to cirrhosis wins!

  359. Linda July 12, 2012 at 21:26 #

Love beer and free is even better:)

  360. Mikey B July 12, 2012 at 21:38 #

Please I would love to go! I’ve never been and it sounds so fun!! And with this beautiful weather… Omg please send me!!

  363. Jess July 12, 2012 at 21:46 #

I would really like to win a package because I have lived in Portland pretty much my whole life and this is the first time I can attend the beer festival, which I have been looking forward to, for years. Also I am leaving the country for two years and moving to a place with really crappy beer and would like to get some good beer in me before I go.

  364. Tiel July 12, 2012 at 21:53 #

’cause I’m the eighty three thousandth homebrewer to say so… And I’m a flippin genius!

  365. Lou July 12, 2012 at 22:02 #

    Yes please!!!

  366. mike July 12, 2012 at 22:44 #

I now have a very young child, which as coincidence would have it, seemed to have a conception date that approximates those of the OBF. Weird, right?
One wonderful thing about this festival is that they will let kids in to early sessions, so picture me with my daughter in one those accursed Bjorn dealies toting a fine craft brew and accompanying my wife who is thrilled to be out of the house to drink beer at 12pm, ’cause lord knows beers after 7pm are an impossibility for us now. This last statement reflects the fact that the beers start flowing at the OBF so early that our new family can actually relive the life we left behind to be “with child”. Desperate? Yes, but we checked our pride in the 3rd trimester. Tickets, please thank you.

  367. Lara July 12, 2012 at 23:17 #

I’ve been working in southern Oregon all summer and the Brewers Fest will coincide with my first weekend back. I’d love to celebrate with my friends at this glorious event!

  368. Mike July 12, 2012 at 23:22 #

This is the ultimate beer festival and every one I’ve ever been to has produced a few new beers that I enjoy. I’ve never won tickets before but would love to and share with my friends.

  369. Heather R July 12, 2012 at 23:38 #

It’s beer and it’s free, what’s not to want?

  370. Jill July 12, 2012 at 23:43 #

I have never been the the beer festival, this would be a great chance for me to go. Yes, I really really love beer too!

  371. Kevin July 12, 2012 at 23:47 #

I would would just really like to go to this event and winning tickets would guarantee that I would be able to go. I look forward to trying all those great Oregon beers.

  372. Terry July 13, 2012 at 02:13 #

I would love to go! I read that Portland is the biggest home brew city.

  373. Samantha Magnuson July 13, 2012 at 03:30 #

Why would I love to win one of these packages…!? Because I love beer…! I have traveled through many parts of the world and it is always my goal to try the local brew. This is one of the most diverse festivals around and I would love nothing more than to enjoy it (a little lighter on the budget) and see all they have to offer this year.

  374. Jeri July 13, 2012 at 07:50 #

I love going to the Brew fest not just for the beer but patrons wear the best beer tshirts that I love to photograph!

  379. Aimee July 13, 2012 at 08:43 #

Who doesn’t like the combo of sun, beer, crowds and Portland?? :-) If I win, I would be able to convince my out of town friends to get their butts over here!

  380. jackie July 13, 2012 at 09:03 #

Can never have enough of the Portland beer festivals!!!

  381. Chris July 13, 2012 at 09:22 #

  385. Jo July 13, 2012 at 10:04 #

I need a good reason for a trip to Portland (I live in Pasco WA), and free tickets to this event would definitely be a good reason to take some time for some much-needed R&R. I love my beer, I love my ale, whether golden brown or harvest pale!

  386. hillary July 13, 2012 at 10:07 #

I would love to attend, and my girlfriend would love it even more! ladies love beer too!

  388. Tara July 13, 2012 at 10:25 #

Pick me, pick me!!! I’ve attended the beer festival every year but missed the last 2 years because I moved away. I have been looking forward to this and even planned my medical licensing board exam to be right before this event such that I can celebrate at the Beer Festival!

  389. delkatpep July 13, 2012 at 10:59 #

I want to win because I’ve been going to the OBF since the beginning and I’ll be there this year too! Bottoms up!

  390. Erin V. July 13, 2012 at 11:05 #

  395. Allie July 13, 2012 at 11:59 #

My phenomenally amazing and healthy 61 year old momma had a freaky near death experience this past year and after a few surgeries and many months of recovery, she is finally back to her outgoing, bright-spirited, beautiful self! She is flying all the way from home (Illinois) to visit me the weekend of the Oregon Brewer’s Festival. Winning this awesome beer package would be a terrific way to celebrate her vivaciousness!! :) I love my mama and we love beer!

  396. StJason July 13, 2012 at 12:01 #

    Wait… Sour Beer Tent…?

Hang on a moment. Let me savor this idea…. mmmm…

I’m well and truely glad that the tunnel vision of hops of the last decade is finally fading. As amusing as the idea of a couple of brewmasters sitting around saying “Y’now, this dodeca-hopped is pretty good, but I bet I could squeeze a bit more in there…”, the fact is that IPA and CDA is an old hat.

Now, a whole tent where I can curl up around some lambek, cry in joy to Brettomyaces, cheer lactobassilus… that sounds pretty darn nice.

…now if I could only do something about all the howling…

  397. Jon July 13, 2012 at 12:06 #

If I am the lucky winner, I assure you I will not be “that guy” at the beer fest splashing my Double Razzleberry Unfiltered Dry Hopped Wheat Wit on other revelers, or line jumping because I know very well that line jumping is not a sport and nor will I be be asking if you can “spare a schwill” when I run out of funds.

  398. TylerG July 13, 2012 at 13:25 #

I would love to go to the festival because I haven’t been in several years as we always seem to be out of town. I am a home brewer and need some new ideas of stuff to try, I’ll even bring you a couple bottles of my next batch!

  399. George July 13, 2012 at 13:27 #

I love supervising at and attending this event

  400. Joe T July 13, 2012 at 13:29 #

Warm weather and downtown Portland along with the opportunity to taste some of the best beers…all in one place? What’s not to love?!

  401. Cindy July 13, 2012 at 13:30 #

  402. Anna Olivares July 13, 2012 at 13:33 #

  403. Cat July 13, 2012 at 13:33 #

I’ve attended OBF for the last 4 years. Sadly I’ve volunteered to work that weekend…unless I have a really good reason. This is it! Save me from a 70hr work week!

  404. Chelsea Anderson July 13, 2012 at 13:34 #

My boyfriend just started brewing his own beer. We both have a love for beer and since we are now both 21 we are so excited to finally be able to attend the festival! Please give us tickets! :)

  405. Laura July 13, 2012 at 13:34 #

What better way to celebrate summer? Having my Big Sister visit me from out of town, drinking beer, tearing up Ptown, and free beer to boot WOOHOO !!!

  406. Ali July 13, 2012 at 13:34 #

I’m looking forward to Brew Fest because it’s the funnest event in Portland during the summer! Great brew, great friends and amazing location :) I’m also looking forward to sharing the experience with some college friends making the trek from Eastern Oregon!

  407. Londre5000 July 13, 2012 at 13:34 #

Because my buddy and I are coming all the way from texas just for this!!

  408. Craig Reed July 13, 2012 at 13:34 #

I would love to make it down to the event again this year which would be my 4th in a row. Unfortunately, this year things have been a little different for me with some major changes that have caused some ruffles. I love my craft beer and have my website to prove it! Hope to be able to be a part of it for 2012.

  409. Mayu July 13, 2012 at 13:35 #

It has been a tradition to go ever since I turned 21. Which means…I’ve been to quite a few. Every year it’s so exciting to see what the brewers have come up with!

  410. Katie July 13, 2012 at 13:35 #

I moved to Portland two years ago and was never much of a beer drinker.
Now I’m in love with both the city and beer! I’d love a chance to go to my first Portland waterfront festival!

  411. Maya July 13, 2012 at 13:36 #

Everyone needs an excuse to drink before the official happy hour…

  412. Elly July 13, 2012 at 13:36 #

Coming back to the NW from the eastcoast to drink beer and partay!

  413. Matt G July 13, 2012 at 13:37 #

I go to see great friends that I only get to see once a year. GREAT event, and all of us look forward to it every year!

And of course, I go to drink beer!

  414. Kellie July 13, 2012 at 13:37 #

I haven’t been able to make it to the OBF in a few years. It would be amazing to enjoy a kids free night out with BEER!!

    Come on ! NO WAMMIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  415. Brad Ray July 13, 2012 at 13:37 #

From the beer capital of the world comes the Oregon Brewers’ Festival! Very little can compare to beer tasting with friends while enjoying the beautiful NW summertime scenery. With outstanding weather near the relaxing waterfront and some of the best beer money (tokens) can buy, the OBF is not to be missed!

  416. Kellie July 13, 2012 at 13:37 #

I haven’t been able to make it to the OBF in a few years. It would be amazing to enjoy a kids free night out with BEER!!

OBF is the best thing about Portland in July! My boyfriend never been help me get him wasted!

  418. Josh M July 13, 2012 at 13:39 #

I’m pretty much only coming to Portland that weekend to attend. From LA and making the trek up. No tickets yet, but if I win the free ones I won’t need to buy any! You can’t beat free beer!

  419. Shawna July 13, 2012 at 13:39 #

Not only would I like to attend, but I will be attending the OBF regardless of winning a free package, but that would make it even better! Bring on the hops!

I’m just a sweet girl… who LOVES a fantastic microbrew (admittedly, I even sometimes like the non-fantastic ones)! Cheers to continuing to prove that women enjoy more than just the fancy-schmancy cocktails — we love the fancy-schmancy brews, too!

  420. Alyssa July 13, 2012 at 13:41 #

Parents are coming from TX just for this!!!
would love to do this in VIP style!

  421. Cristina Rana July 13, 2012 at 13:42 #

  424. Jaime July 13, 2012 at 13:43 #

Beer is awesome! Portland is awesome! Festivals are awesome! I am awesome! Win for everyone! I went last year for the first time and it was soooo much fun! All of the hard work and efforts were evident, great job guys!
I would love the opportunity to go back!

  425. Andrei July 13, 2012 at 13:43 #

    I like Portland.
    I like Beer.

It’s also a good place to drink before the Timbers Game!

  426. Emily July 13, 2012 at 13:43 #

It’s my 7th wedding anniversary an I love brewers fest!

  427. Llama July 13, 2012 at 13:44 #

Now that I work for a craft beer company I have a completely different perspective of this festival. It is THE event of the summer. If I only had enough time & money to taste all the beers…

  428. Armando G. July 13, 2012 at 13:44 #

Can’t Wait! PDX PIPELINE ROCKS for doing this!

  429. Jennifer Gardner July 13, 2012 at 13:44 #

Why would i like to attend??? 5 words ;)

Beer, fun, free, waterfront, & beer

  430. evil_bryan July 13, 2012 at 13:45 #

July in Portland would not be the same without the Oregon Brewer’s Festival. It is one of the many things that define our city and I love attending!

  431. Chris July 13, 2012 at 13:45 #

Please pick me! I love the OBF and this would be an awesome prize!

SOOOO excited for OBF! Look forward to it every year! We are bringing friends from California this time and what better way to say “welcome to oregon and our love of beer” than with mugs and tokens for free!!!

  434. Cesar Negrete July 13, 2012 at 13:48 #

Because this is the best Beer fest in the world and I haven’t missed it since moving here in 2000. Got to love Portland!

  435. Jeff July 13, 2012 at 13:49 #

Looking forward to spending another fun OBF down on Portland’s waterfront… Life is good in Portland!

  436. Kimmie July 13, 2012 at 13:50 #

    A Haiku:
    I love to drink beer
Do not deny me my love
    Give me free tickets

  437. Alice Vetter July 13, 2012 at 13:51 #

Because I want to show all my wine drinking friends how awesome beer can be too!

  438. Lynn July 13, 2012 at 13:52 #

I would love to go to the Brewers Fest! I have never been and since having our new baby boy, my boyfriend & I have missed out on so many fun Portland events. We would live to go this event!!!

  439. Jodi July 13, 2012 at 13:52 #

OBF is one of the best things about Portland in July. My husband and I have attended evey year since 1995 , with the exception of the one year our child was born. Our Utah family makes it every year to attend. Free tickets would be awesome!!!!

  440. Steve Shivers July 13, 2012 at 13:53 #

I’m traveling from somewhere in the Black Hills of South Dakota to attend. Winning the packeage would be great as every little bit helps when starting a brewery. The building has been purchased, but man are those equipment costs going to be a killer!

  441. chris July 13, 2012 at 13:55 #

    Free is a great price!

  442. Ray July 13, 2012 at 13:57 #

I’m coming all the way from San Francisco. After all that travel, I could use a couple of free beers.

  443. Alex Werner July 13, 2012 at 13:57 #

I want to go to the OBF so I can get drunk with people twice my age, triple my age, and quadruple my age

  444. Danielle July 13, 2012 at 13:57 #

There is more beer than food in my fridge. We have a kegerator in our office… I love beer and Portland and sunshine… Please send me!

  445. Charissa July 13, 2012 at 13:57 #

Nothing like drinking local beer outside while getting wicked tan lines!

  446. Brian Blevins July 13, 2012 at 13:58 #

It’s a tradition my fiancé and I started with each other that every year we take a vacation and go to OBF, haven’t missed a day in 5 years. We’ll be there no matter what!!

  447. Lauren Montgomery July 13, 2012 at 13:58 #

Would be a lovely brief escape from reality. I would love to try some fantastic new oregon brews!

  448. Pamela July 13, 2012 at 13:59 #

    WHOOO! It’s hot…Beer me!!

  449. Kelsey July 13, 2012 at 13:59 #

The 27th is my birthday! Since I turned 21 I haven’t missed a single OBF. And I usually drag along a sizable group of beer lovers to help me enjoy the festival. I don’t have birthday parties, OBF is my birthday party! Last year I made it a personal goal to try every beer at the festival… the long lines on Friday night made that difficult for me, so this year I am taking Friday off from work to make it possible!

  450. Josh B. July 13, 2012 at 14:00 #

I love OBF….I love my wife…I love beer. All three together would be perfect!

  451. Will Stegeman July 13, 2012 at 14:01 #

I would like to win so we can gain some more knowledge to help us with our fledgling brewing company in San Diego.

  452. Kasi July 13, 2012 at 14:02 #

I would like to win because I am coming all the way from Alabama to Oregon for this event. I planned my entire trip home around the Brewfest and free tickets would be awesome. Also the idea of good beer here in Bama is Natty Light. Boo!

  453. Ninfa July 13, 2012 at 14:02 #

    Free beer is cool

  454. Stu July 13, 2012 at 14:02 #

My friends from Cali equal two,

It would be great to go to OBF this year. Last year my girlfriend and I could not make it to OBF because she was in the hospital with spine issues. She is better now and we hope to win tickets and make it this year.

As a homebrewer and lover of beer the Craft Beer Festival is one of my favorite events of the year. I will absolutely go and love every minute of it!

I just came from the TAP New York fest and I wanna see if Oregon can stand up to it.

Dad & mom, daughter & son-in-law, making the long drive up from the Sacramento area, where it is way too hot! We need Oregon beer, beautiful waterfront, and Portland to help us cool off!!

  491. Aaron B. July 13, 2012 at 15:20 #

I think I deserve the tickets because I’m flying in all the way from Denver for the Festival and to spend a few days exploring downtown Portland. It’s a pilgrimage of sorts to the land of Deschutes, Bridgeport, Rouge, etc.

I’m flying in from Sacramento just for this event. Can’t wait!

It’s family friendly and my kid loves to dance to the music while I dance to the beer.

My husband got to enjoy the OBF last time. Now it’s my turn. :)

My husband and I attended beer fests every year before kids. Since having children, we have not had many opportunities to do much of anything without them. This would be just the impetus we need to finally find a babysitter and have a date night.

  498. Shawn July 13, 2012 at 15:46 #

In the military and this will be the first time we can make. Can’t wait and definately going to enjoy it!

  505. Todd July 13, 2012 at 16:28 #

  506. Lacey July 13, 2012 at 16:28 #

Planning to go, even if I don’t win, but free brew would make this festival even better!

  507. Brittany July 13, 2012 at 16:31 #

I love the Beer Fest; it’s like a birthday gift from Portland to me as the fest is (almost) always on my birthday the 27th. I would feel even more special if I win this package. Thanks!

  509. Dustin July 13, 2012 at 16:44 #

I love OBF. I go every year. I would die for this package!

  510. Josef July 13, 2012 at 16:45 #

It’s my buddy’s 21st birthday on Sunday the 29th, what better way to start your adult drinking life than at Brewfest!? Send me and let me show him what a 21st birthday should be like!

  511. Tonya July 13, 2012 at 16:47 #

Please please and please pick me !!

  512. Suzanne July 13, 2012 at 16:54 #

I’d love to attend because there is no better place to showcase the outstanding brews of the Northwest and beyond than Waterfront Park in Portland. We look forward to attending the festival every time we’re able to make the trip.
