Once upon a time… or maybe twice, there was an unearthly paradise called Pepperland, a place where happiness and music reigned supreme. But all that was threatened when the terrible Blue Meanies declared war and sent in their army led by a menacing Flying Glove to destroy all that was good. Enter John, Paul, George and Ringo to save the day!

Armed with little more than their humour, songs, and of course, their yellow submarine, The Beatles tackle the rough seas ahead in an effort to bring down the evil forces of bluedom.

Yellow Submarine is a family movie in the truest sense—something for the little kids who watch the same sort of punning stories, infinitely less nonviolent and refined, on television; something for the older kids, whose musical contribution to the arts and longings for love and gentleness and color could hardly present a better case; something for parents, who can see the best of what being newly young is all about. …Yellow Submarine, with its memories of Saturday morning at the movies, and its lovely Oswald the Rabbit in Candyland graphics, makes the hooking up and otherwise commingling very possible. When invited to, the whole audience picks up the “All together now” refrain and sings.” —Renata Adler, The New York Times

I enjoy music that I have passes it on to my daughter. I would love to share this with her. She already is doing ballet and break dance and she will be 2 in a month. She sings and is starting the drums. She has really put music apart of her life. This is the Beatles, yes she knows who they are and loves to listen to them. To see something like this would really be exciting for her. I believe I should be picked for me but for a 2 year old girl who just lives already for music. We would enjoy having the mommy daughter date on Saturday at the 6 pm showing.
