  8. Meloney April 5, 2012 at 1:26 pm #

I would love to win. Comedy is a must in life and to see a live show, this would be the best thing I’ve ever won. Comedy is where it is!! And, also, I’m a fan of Janeane Garafolo!

  9. MattD April 5, 2012 at 1:31 pm #

I signed up to volunteer, but there were too many people! So I missed out on the chance to catch some of the shows. I can’t afford tickets on my own, so I am crossing my fingers for these tickets!

  10. emma April 5, 2012 at 1:31 pm #

I wanna win because Doug Benson is funnier than cat shit (unless it’s been working on its material and practicing a lot, I suppose).

  11. s.gothman April 5, 2012 at 1:41 pm #

My doctor says I need an array.

  12. Jennifer April 5, 2012 at 1:45 pm #

I’d love to be able to treat myself and boyfriend to a few laughs, we missed the deal for tickets can’t afford full price :-( Help us out!

    Laughing cures Cancer
Lets all laugh , its infectious you know.
Help me to laugh my ass off

  14. carl April 5, 2012 at 1:53 pm #

Really enjoyed Bridgetown comedy fest last year. Can’t wait to go this year. A pass would really help me see some of my favorite comedians. Todd Barry, Ron Funches, Matt Besser, Tim Heidecker just to name a few. Thanks!

  15. Amanda April 5, 2012 at 1:54 pm #

Now that I have your attention I would like to attend this epic event because comedy is funny and brings me joy. Portland has an awesome scene for it and this festival lineup is tits! (can I write that…?)

  16. Karri April 5, 2012 at 1:55 pm #

    My weekends need more laughter!

  17. Phelloniouspunk April 5, 2012 at 1:59 pm #

I need to go. I’ve always had the secret desire to do standup, but gawsh darnit, I’m too scared. I need to live vicariously through these fine comedians.

  18. Andrew April 5, 2012 at 2:13 pm #

Comedy is great. I like it because it’s funny. When things are funny, they tend to make me laugh. When I laugh, puppies do cute things. When puppies are cute, they make other people happy. Please help me make people happy via puppies by providing me with tickets to keep me laughing all weekend long.

  19. Josh ketch April 5, 2012 at 2:42 pm #

Because I had to see Andy Dick’s dick last year. Also, I’ve bought tickets for years, it’d be nice for a hook up for once

  20. Tony April 5, 2012 at 2:48 pm #

Yes! (I don’t have to post anything whitty or creative, right?)

  21. kristen April 5, 2012 at 2:58 pm #

i enter to win tickets often, and have never won. but if there was just one time you could do me a solid mercury, it would be now. I need a good(free) laugh in my life

  22. Nathen boggs April 5, 2012 at 3:09 pm #

Winning tickets would be amazing. Cannot afford any of my own. I live an hour and a half away but come down regularly specifically to see a comedy act, many of which are on the billing. Would love a chance to see so many amazing acts.

  23. Dan Wheeler April 5, 2012 at 3:13 pm #

I’ve been going every year for the past 3 years. I want to seriously OD on comedy for the 4th year. A sweet-ass festival pass is just what I need! =)

  24. Charity Porter April 5, 2012 at 3:16 pm #

I failed my boyfriend on getting tickets when they were available for 1/2 price. He’s constantly updating me on who will be there, he loves comedy and is constantly listening to podcasts like comedy bang bang. He would be so excited to go, as well as me.

  25. Rob April 5, 2012 at 3:19 pm #

Need some laughs in my life, unemployment blues have got me way down!

  26. Vanessa April 5, 2012 at 3:19 pm #

Being a broke grad student I could use a good free laugh. This would be my first year attending Bridgetown and I doubt it would be my last.

  27. Michael Braim April 5, 2012 at 3:23 pm #

I am so freaking excited for this festival. It’s one of the best things to do in our amazing town. I can’t wait to see all the incredible performers and wish I could see them all. Alas, unless I win these passes I will have to choose only a select few. Can’t wait to see what I can no matter what.

  28. Steve April 5, 2012 at 3:40 pm #

Because I’m dead serious about comedy.

  29. Jana April 5, 2012 at 3:41 pm #

I need a break from being the most hilarious person in the room.

  30. Sandi April 5, 2012 at 4:04 pm #

We would love, Love, LOVE to win these tickets…..nice to have a night out with some good laughs!….It’s been a while!

i have a great laugh. time to show it off.

  34. kevin April 5, 2012 at 4:41 pm #

because i can’t even muster up a comment about why i deserve these tickets that wouldn’t cause the reader to jump off the roof immediately.

  35. Aaron April 5, 2012 at 4:41 pm #

  37. Carolyn Wiesner April 5, 2012 at 4:44 pm #

    I want to win.

    Because I am not funny.

  41. Nathan G April 5, 2012 at 4:46 pm #

Maria Bamford is amazing. Doug Benson is hilarious. Amy Schumer is a knock-out in many ways. Please give me these tickets! :)

  42. Hayley April 5, 2012 at 4:48 pm #

As a budding stand up comic, I need to watch the pros in action!! Pick me :)

  43. kimbo April 5, 2012 at 4:51 pm #

    Give the tix to JANA
Her post made me spray coffee right out my nose. . .

  44. Andrea April 5, 2012 at 4:51 pm #

OMG I NEED some comedy in my life!! This PDX weather is making me want to hide away until June. Save my life Pipeline!!

  45. Jon April 5, 2012 at 4:51 pm #

I need to go because I need to laugh because my other emotions confuse me and make me nervous and I cry and scream but when I laugh I cry and scream and it feels good. I know there would not be much difference to you if you were to see me laughing and crying and not know the reason, but for me and my ocean of emotion, there is a very big difference.

  46. Josh April 5, 2012 at 4:52 pm #

Easy. I want to meet the voice of the E-TRADE BABY (aka comedian Pete Holmes, who will be at the festival). Who wouldn’t?

  47. Felicity April 5, 2012 at 4:55 pm #

I need some funny in my life right about now!

  48. Dave Taube April 5, 2012 at 4:57 pm #

My seventeen year old son went swimming with his iPhone in his swim trunks over spring break. Two days after getting home, he totaled his car. I need a really good laugh!

P.S. I’m not in Portland very often, but I’m coming up that weekend anyway.

  49. birdonit April 5, 2012 at 5:01 pm #

If I win these passes, I promise to put them to good use. I will see as much comedy as humanly possible. In fact, I’ll even clone myself, so I can be in many places at once. I don’t want to miss anything!

  50. Josh April 5, 2012 at 5:04 pm #

I want… no, I must see and meet the voice of the E-TRADE BABY… Mr. Pete Holmes!!

  51. becky brown April 5, 2012 at 5:04 pm #

  53. Kim April 5, 2012 at 5:18 pm #

AWESOME EVENT! I would absolutely LOVE to go to the 2012 Bridgetown Comedy Festival!! We love to support comedians and often attend various comedy shows. Would greatly appreciate the opportunity!

Kelly will be celebrating this Friday the 13th birthday bash in Oregon and we would love love love a Comedy Festival, currently Kelly is employed at the SHOUT! 59. Nadine April 5, 2012 at 5:55 pm #

Two great stand up comedians from Denver will be here: Adam Cayton Holland and Andrew Orvedahl! My niece, Taylor Gonda, in Denver, is good friends with these guys! We just moved to Portland a year ago and Taylor wants us to be SURE to go to the Fest to see Adam and Andrew! SO – we need the tickets to keep our niece happy!!! AND we want to see our Denver guys kill it out here!

  60. Jenny April 5, 2012 at 6:19 pm #

I need laughter. It is a viable replacement for dry socks and vitamin D.

  61. Alex O April 5, 2012 at 6:32 pm #

    Why pick me?
Bridgetown is quickly becoming the premier comedy festival in the NW, and I’d love to go to the events, but I can’t really afford to buy a pass. Many of my favorite performers are going to be there, including Kulap and Howard, Kevin Allison, Doug Benson, and too many others to list. I’ve been buying tickets since 2006, to individual shows; I know the humble beginnings of the Bridgetown, and I’m super proud of Andy and the gang for making this the best weekend in PDX.

  62. Anthony April 5, 2012 at 6:37 pm #

I’ve miss out the past 2 years for stupid reasons, and so this would be amaaaaaaaaazing if I could finally go this year!

  63. Alex O April 5, 2012 at 6:39 pm #

Sorry, 2006 should be 2008. (I was into this before it even happened, man.)

  64. Zach Meireis April 5, 2012 at 6:54 pm #

What kind of cheese should you eat on the Friday before Easter?

    Answer: Gouda

  65. Joshua Glassman April 5, 2012 at 7:06 pm #

I’d like to attend because I need to get in touch with Todd Barry. He owes me money.

  66. Kris April 5, 2012 at 7:17 pm #

I could use some belly laughs…. especially free ones.

  67. alan madden April 5, 2012 at 7:23 pm #

Wow!! 5 years….. I worked the very first one at Mt Tabor Theater, 12-16 hour days….. had alot of fun, especially at the wrap party at whomever’s house that was…… made some good friends that night, well, fb friends at least….. I would love to attend this year’s festival unencumbered by professional responsibilities. Would love to see new comics, and run into old friends……
Hook me up, it would make a good anniversary gift too…….. 2 years married 1 week after the show……… 1 boy, 1 pitbull, 2 cats and 3 ferrets later, I need some laughs at someone else’s expense!!!

  68. Michelle T. April 5, 2012 at 7:27 pm #

Humor is underrated. I’d love to go to the show.

  69. Dani loves PDX Pipeline April 5, 2012 at 7:29 pm #

Andy Dick. A couple weeks ago here, I wrote about how last year at the fest, Andy Dick was stoned out of his gourd and how he yammered on so long about fecal matter that Margaret Cho–who I was really there to see–got cut off after only 7 minutes.

Now when I think “Bridgetown Comedy,” I think Andy Dick and poo.

I’m not gonna bitch about being poor or getting dumped or not having a dumb job because that’s just lame. I do improv, and I heart comedy, and you, PDX Pipeline, are rad for giving away tickets–whoever you give them to. (If not me, then give them to Boobs up there. She’s funny.)

  70. Jen April 5, 2012 at 7:41 pm #

I need more comedy in my life.

  71. Sarah April 5, 2012 at 7:53 pm #

I’ve only one thing ever in my life ever, and that was tickets to Helium Comedy Club, thanks to pdxpipeline! Now I am a full-fledged comedy nerd. I need my fix! Thank you.

  72. Ryan Powell April 5, 2012 at 8:03 pm #

I could use a laugh. Pick me!

  73. Shea April 5, 2012 at 8:26 pm #

I need a laugh, I would love to go… No one ever wants to go to a comedy club when I have money to go. I’d be ecstatic.

  74. Rb. April 5, 2012 at 8:45 pm #

I’ve enjoyed Bridgetown for the last two years but have been undecided about whether to go this year or not because of money. Passes would totally solve that problem! Looking forward to discovering dozens of new comics this year!

  76. devvann75 April 5, 2012 at 9:16 pm #

they say that sunlight reduced depressed mood… but if i can win these tickets, i can empirically improve that comedy is better at fighting depression. janeane would most certainly agree with my theory.

  77. Li April 5, 2012 at 9:17 pm #

I just heard about this comedy festival after living in Portland for 4 years. I would love to take my boyfriend who has lived here his whole life and never heard of it!

  78. devvann75 April 5, 2012 at 9:18 pm #

they say that sunlight reduced depressed mood… but if i can win these tickets, i can empirically improve that comedy is better at fighting depression. garofalo would most certainly agree with my theory.

  79. Chris April 5, 2012 at 9:26 pm #

Sadly, I’ve been away from my home in Portland for the past two weeks. I’ll be getting home right before Bridgetown starts and nothing would make me happier than a welcome home crammed full of laughs from this amazing plethora of performers. It’s become an annual tradition that I greatly look forward to every year.

  80. jimbobber April 5, 2012 at 9:50 pm #

I’d love to win tickets because I’m ready to laugh until I puke.

  81. Phil April 5, 2012 at 9:58 pm #

In need of some prescription strength laughter to get through these rainy days, pick me!

  82. eaglegrl April 5, 2012 at 10:21 pm #

    Need a dopamine increase please!

  83. Michelle April 5, 2012 at 10:34 pm #

  84. Jennifer Gardner April 5, 2012 at 11:55 pm #

  85. James Worthen April 6, 2012 at 3:08 am #

  88. Deanna April 6, 2012 at 6:36 am #

Losing two people I love dearly, my Aunt Mary and dad, four days apart nothing would be better than the escape of laughter and great comedians. This would be a great pick me up and a way to get the happy back.

  89. Warrants April 6, 2012 at 6:55 am #

Yes we all need to laugh

  90. christina spencer April 6, 2012 at 7:39 am #

  93. keith April 6, 2012 at 9:51 am #

as a former gang member, i was told laughing is better than shooting people.

  94. heather April 6, 2012 at 10:14 am #

i need to lose some weight, and laughing is supposed to burn calories faster than if i just sit here leaving comments.

  95. jason April 6, 2012 at 10:44 am #

Would love to see some live comedy! We went to Helium comedy club and had a great time, so looking forward to that type of atmosphere again.

  97. Torrie April 6, 2012 at 11:55 am #

I don’t deserve them more than anyone else. I probably want them as much as everyone else. But it would still be fantastic if I could win the passes.

  98. Michele April 6, 2012 at 12:19 pm #

What a line-up! I have friends that have gone in years past and are going again this year. I can’t afford tickets but I would love to go and LMAO :)

  99. Ame April 6, 2012 at 1:29 pm #

Winning this would be ABSOLUTELY amazing! I’m always full of giggles and comedians just rock my world. I tend to have bad luck with winning drawings, but, who knows! Maybe the 9th will be my lucky day!

  100. Sarah Allison April 6, 2012 at 1:57 pm #

Two years ago, hubby and I attended the Bridgetown comedy fest and had an absolute ball. That was the last time we were able to attend. For the last year and four months, I’ve going through some severe medical crap – a chronic, cough with no cause. There’s been tests and tests and bills and bills and drugs and drug and still no answer. To top that off, hubby has had his own medical issues lately – he was diagnosed with nasal and sinus disease and had surgery last week to help. It was not an easy week for either one of us. It hasn’t been an easy year. We could really use a laugh or two. We’d buy the tickets ourselves if we could afford them but our extra money is earmarked for medical bills.

  101. mimi April 6, 2012 at 2:42 pm #

This would be hilarious to see. And right now, laughter is at a minimum in our lives…

  102. Emily April 6, 2012 at 2:47 pm #

My partner and I would love to attend this but with me in school and his work we couldnt afford to go. It would mean a lot to us if you could help us out! We love comedy and wish we could see more live! This would be so amazing! :) Pretty please :)

  103. Drew April 6, 2012 at 4:04 pm #

I love comedy and festivals! Put them together with free tickets and I’m a happy camper! Should be a laughing riot! I need to bust a gut!

  104. Don April 6, 2012 at 4:41 pm #

I’m in love with Janeane Garafolo!! Please let me go and gaze upon her heavanly visage. And she’s pretty funny too.

  105. Tim K. April 6, 2012 at 5:00 pm #

  112. Brian Cummings April 7, 2012 at 6:11 pm #

I would like to go to this because I really like Tim, Maria, and Todd. I did not buy tickets in time. Missed it last year, but got to see Todd at Helium, so that was great.

  113. Jacob April 7, 2012 at 7:56 pm #

What did the duck say to the bartender? I can pay for it, just put it on my bill!!!

What do I say to PDXpipe? I want these tickets because I can’t write jokes.

  114. erin April 7, 2012 at 8:46 pm #

seriously one of the best events in portland to go to. Have gone the past 2 years and found a new love for stand up! I am dying to go!

  115. Nicholas Goodroad April 8, 2012 at 2:58 am #

Laughter is great medicine… To me, it creates a feeling of home and friends. My girlfriend and I moved to Portland from North Dakota in November, and going out dancing and to laugh with new friends has been the best medicine for homesickness a person could ask for.

  116. Jeremy Brill April 8, 2012 at 8:19 am #

  117. Cristian April 8, 2012 at 11:27 am #

    I live for this

  118. Carrie Craig April 8, 2012 at 12:14 pm #

  119. Miss M April 8, 2012 at 12:45 pm #

Honestly, if there is a god I will win these tickets… Please let it be so, because long long ago no one remembered my 16th birthday and this would make it all right.

My girl so wants to see this show for her birthday, and I cannot afford to get tickets for her to go. Getting tickets to the fest would make her so very happy, and that’s all I want!

I flew all the way from Australia to attend this festival. Unfortunately a binge on airline snacks on the way over (it was a 16 hour flight!) has left me without money for a pass. So if you’ve got one free. I’ll take it!
