I am singer/songwriter. I want this ticket, so that I can expand and grow more. I have a wide vocal range and I would like to really know how to use it!

:D this would be a great opportunity.

I like to sing when drunk. This’d make me less annoying to people at the karaoke bars and strangers on the bus.

I’m trying to get my groove back and regain confidence in myself. A workshop like this would help me get grounded in my body and sounds like alot of fun!

I went to music school at age 4, thanks to my soprano-singing and classical piano-playing mother, but I’ve not done much since then except high school choir. I’m not just a shower singer; I’m also a car singer, a walking on the street singer, a duet with friends singer, a by myself singer, basically everything there is involving singing except before a crowd. So….this alto needs a push to take it another few bars. Thanks for any help you can provide!

This has been my dream… to find a singing class that can pull me out of my nervous self & eventually sing in front of people with my ukulele. Pick me!

I enjoy singing but get self-conscious when anyone hears me… would love the chance to give it a try in a supportive environment.

I’m the biggest Karaoke fan ever, but I really want to take it a step further and maybe perform with my friends. This would be a great way to start! :D

3 of the last 4 girlfriends love healing music. I’ve re-established contact with GF #3, so tickets to this would be greatly appreciated. I promise to heal myself a little bit too.

As a public speaker, I’ve always felt that the weakest part of my presentation is my voice, I would love to learn how to have a powerful, exciting voice that can empower people like my message does.

I’ve been thinking about this post since it was first posted on pdxpipeline, but had an unusually busy weekend and could only find the time to post now. I hope I still qualify for a chance to win free tickets! Literally the night before this was posted online, I wished aloud to my friends that i could sing with confidence in front of them the way I do when I’m alone. When collaborating with other musicians, I can come up with good lyrics and melodies, but I’m at the stage where I need to be alone to sing with complete confidence (and a voice I can feel proud of). I think this workshop could be the answer to my prayers! Thank you for giving musicians in the Portland area the opportunity to expand their talents. It is nice to know there are workshops like these available and I am also curious to know more about the Songwriters Soiree!
