Elevated Environment is particularly ecstatic to bring you a night of astrological space gangster funk on February 25 at the Whiskey Bar. Starting off the night will be GRIZ, who in our opinion… has been slaying it lately! Next up, another Elevated favorite, RussLiquid, followed by Goldrush and a new local to portland…GuttStar! Dont be afraid to put on your moon boots and head down, this is not a night to be missed!
A true pioneer and master of musical expression, GRiZ (Grant Kwiecinski) stands head-and-shoulders above the competition in terms of the sheer variety of his ever-evolving technical prowess. A tremendously passionate and soulful producer, GRiZ has a peerless knack for creating profoundly engaging melodies to offset the presence of his phenomenally designed bass.
Where many artists become mired in a over-simplified and standardized method of production for the sake of creative efficiency; GriZ has no qualms sacrificing speed for the sake of quality, technical diversity, and an unrelenting devotion to progress and dynamism.
Set apart from other up-and-coming West Coast bass music producers by his extensive world-touring history and performance experience, Russ Liquid brings a much needed injection of melody and emotion to the thriving dance floor community. Classically trained on the piano, trumpet, saxophone and flute, Russ Liquid applies the colorful tones of instrumental music to the realm of beats with dance floor-rocking results. This talented producer has found an entirely new palette to ¬Å“paint¬Â with, and now he seeks to bridge the gap between classical and modern music with new electronic technology and sonic possibilities.
