  15. Robin J December 1, 2011 at 3:13 pm #

I would love to win tickets so I can show my boyfriend why I have enjoyed this Ball in the past. It is one of the most beautiful, fun, social ways to ring in the new year in our beautiful city!

  16. Vanessa Meyer December 1, 2011 at 3:17 pm #

I have never been to a big, fancy New Years Party. I was planning on going this year, but just found out I’m getting laid off and this isn’t exactly in the budget. Le bummer.

  17. Ashley Samaniego December 1, 2011 at 3:20 pm #

I think we should win because after 8 years in the Navy, I moved here to attend flight school in Hillsboro. My fiance left her family, job and friends to move 1500 miles to live here with me so I wouldn’t be alone. We aren’t able to see our families for the holidays, and I ship out w the military on Jan 3. I think it would be a special way for us to spend NYE as we don’t know anyone here and bc I leave 2 days later!!

  18. Ashley December 1, 2011 at 3:21 pm #

Sounds like the perfect New Years Party to me which I would love to attend!

  19. Sara December 1, 2011 at 3:26 pm #

I always spent New Years at my parent’s place. I’ve never been to a REAL honest-to-God New Years Ball before! I would wear my fanciest dress and everything! : D

    Because I Rock

  21. Antonia cabal December 1, 2011 at 3:30 pm #

It’s been a tough year for me and my fiancee this year. Winning tickets would help us ring in the New Year on a happy note and give us an excuse to dress up.

  22. Xochil Springer December 1, 2011 at 3:32 pm #

In my 30 years of age I have become old. I would love a night to remember what it is like to dance, drink and be merry without my two year old.

  23. Kyle December 1, 2011 at 3:35 pm #

    For the children, duh.

  24. Andrea Roselle December 1, 2011 at 3:38 pm #

  30. Hope December 1, 2011 at 4:10 pm #

A beautiful Portland NYE with dancing, champagne, and benefits to the CCA. This sounds like a wonderful evening and I’d love to spend the night out with my amazing husband for this great event!

  31. Berenice December 1, 2011 at 4:13 pm #

Year 2 of NYE @ the American Legion or Champagne Ball? Hmmmm…not much of a toughie there. Plus, I must see to believe that there is such an occasion in Portland where nobody will be wearing jeans. My never-worn gold dress will finally belong somewhere. Please, let me bling like it’s 1999.

  32. Josh December 1, 2011 at 4:17 pm #

I would like to win/attend because you know the champagne won’t stop flowing. I mean, it’s in the name! Hot damn!!

  33. Meghan December 1, 2011 at 4:29 pm #

Like everyone else, my husband and I are broke. I would just love an evening out celebrating the hope of a better year. I also have some nice dresses I NEVER have the occasion to wear!

A great reason to put clothes on. Especially fancy ones.

  37. Teresa December 1, 2011 at 4:47 pm #

This would be a lovely opportunity for my husband and I to have a date night like no other. We are used to me playing Farmville and watching Hulu on the computer, and him watching spanish soap operas in the bedroom. We should be living a soap opera LIFE–together! This night will be the beginning of a life of partying and romance! Pick us!

  38. Emily :) December 1, 2011 at 4:50 pm #

This New Years my wonderful partner and I will be celebrating 1 year together. I would love to take him to this and make this new years really special for the both of us. This has been my first year in graduate school for social work and I have been working so hard with such little money. I would so love a special treat to celebrate the new years. I would never be able to afford this on my own, please help me out. I havnt had a great new years in so long and would so love for this new years to be memorable (in a good way). Please help a sister out. It would really mean the world to me. Thanks :)

  39. Emily December 1, 2011 at 5:03 pm #

This sounds like an amazing event! What a great combination: an array of entertainment (AWOL Dance Collective – so cool), unique venue, and food? Yes, please! I have a friend coming from out of town and would love to take her to this unique Portland party.

  40. janel December 1, 2011 at 5:04 pm #

This an event that has been on my wish list for sometime. Unfortunately, the turn of our economy has made it a pipe dream
    …unless I win tickets.

  41. chelsea December 1, 2011 at 5:10 pm #

Sometimes I’ve got the world by the balls, other times it’s all I can do to keep cock blocking. This year I’m willing to pour a little champagne on the ball and dance it all out with rind stones dangling baby.

  42. Laura Schmutt December 1, 2011 at 5:11 pm #

I would love to win these tickets because my boyfriend and I are having a tough holiday season because he was laid off due to an injury. We don’t really have any money to spend on fun things to do right now so winning free tickets would be awesome!

  43. Jeremiah Johnson December 1, 2011 at 5:40 pm #

It is so interesting to read other posts = may we all win! Haoli a makahiki hou!

  44. Greg December 1, 2011 at 5:45 pm #

After getting married in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve a few years ago, I am trying to duplicate the party each year. What better place in Portland than the Champagne Ball. Party on!!

  45. Lorraine December 1, 2011 at 6:00 pm #

    Dress takes away breath,
    Tall elegant glass bubbles,
    Kisses at Midnight.

  46. Laura December 1, 2011 at 6:19 pm #

So here’s to the golden moon
And here’s to the silver sea
    And mostly here’s a toast
    To you and me

Would love to share in some ‘tiny bubbles’ with some of Portland’s finest! Happy New Year :)

  47. Leonard December 1, 2011 at 6:57 pm #

    Sounds like a great evening.

  48. Ashley Coleman December 1, 2011 at 7:11 pm #

I would love to go! I’ve never had a new year’s kiss and I think it’s about time!

  49. nicole December 1, 2011 at 7:23 pm #

I would love to go because my new years resolution last year was to lose weight. I am 160 pounds Lighter than when 2011 started off. It would be a great remembrance on celebrating my change with my partner. Plus, I want to dress like a hoochie on NYE!

  50. Shannan December 1, 2011 at 7:31 pm #

I would like to win because I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and due on December 22. I have been in school full time this entire pregnancy. The week after next is finals, the week after that I will probably be having my baby. My THIRD boy. I need a break and a fun night out with my husband desperately. I have been craving a cocktail and it would be so nice after all this sacrifice I have made to just have a night of decadence. Thank you.

  51. patrick hyde December 1, 2011 at 7:36 pm #

This sounds like a ball! (ha…ha)
    I would love to go!!!

  52. Nancy La Mere December 1, 2011 at 7:50 pm #

It would be dream come true if me and Sv my sweetheart won tickets to attend the ball. I work full time and have 2 wonderful boys I take care of. It would be so nice to be able to dress up and go out and enjoy the portland night life. We have never celebrated new year’s eve on this amazing level.
We know we would have an unforgettable time with DJ Sugar spinning all night long. So pick me please!!!! Happy New Year’s!!!!

  53. jessica December 1, 2011 at 7:52 pm #

I would like to win these tickets because I don’t have any plans yet for new year’s and this sounds like a lot of fun. Plus, I would love to have a reason to dress up!!

  54. Klamber December 1, 2011 at 7:55 pm #

I’m new to Portland and have no plans for New Years Eve. This would give me a chance to invite a new friend and truly enjoy what Portland has to offer!

    Thank you for this opportunity!

  55. Will Grubb December 1, 2011 at 8:28 pm #

Laid off in April, and have not worn a suit since. My sweetie has been taking care of me, and I need to show my appreciation.
    Occupy Gresham!!

  56. Kyle Mitchell December 1, 2011 at 8:51 pm #

My wife and I were living separate from each other for a year for our jobs and haven’t enjoyed a night out for quite a while. This would be great night to reconnect.

  57. donna marie December 1, 2011 at 8:53 pm #

Ooooo. Pick me. I have no plans for new years. I need to go to this party. I love that this is a dress up event. Hopefully i can find my prince charming too!

  58. Kristen December 1, 2011 at 9:27 pm #

My recently divorced, 30-year-old gorgeous best friend needs a “girls night” on the town! She is visiting me from Ashland for the festivities. Help me show her a fabulous time. Thanks!!!! <3

  59. reena December 1, 2011 at 9:38 pm #

its been a lean year for so many….myself included. I call it the year of “free” when it comes to entertainment…did i mention how lean its been? no one can argue that Portland has a lot of free entertainment to offer but winning tickets to a party like this would really ring in the new year with a bang! good luck to everyone who’s commented.

  60. Nicole December 1, 2011 at 10:12 pm #

This sounds like such a great way to ring in 2012! I would love to celebrate and dance the night away!

  61. Jade December 1, 2011 at 10:14 pm #

It will be my first New Year’s Eve in Portland and I want to do it right.

  62. Francisco Lopez December 1, 2011 at 10:37 pm #

Hell yheaa I would like to win tickets

  63. Thy Thy December 1, 2011 at 10:42 pm #

I would love to take my cousin out for this! :] she’s been working hard and I think this would be perfect event for us to go to! Because she definitely needs a break!

  64. Myranna December 1, 2011 at 10:47 pm #

Looking for memorable and classy way to bring in the New Year with Champange, Music, Dance and all the beauty that will be non-disputable!

  65. Mary December 1, 2011 at 10:52 pm #

What makes you choose a winner I wonder…is it random? Is it a heartwarming story or reason why? Is it pure luck or destiny? Will it be me? Am I more deserving than anyone else? I think not, maybe even less, but who’s comparing. If gratefulness counts… I am in . If love counts I am blessed. If this comment counts then I am in your hands.

  66. Mimi December 1, 2011 at 11:13 pm #

Wow! Never really have had plans on new years…but if I win tickets, it’ll be a very cool thing! Considering 2011 has been a bit rough: car accident, 2 yo son breaking his arm jumping off the couch & getting laid off all within two weeks (dec 23rd to jan 6th), I’d hope to ring in 2012 as a way better year! So thanks ahead of time ;)

  67. Mesha December 2, 2011 at 2:19 am #

Being single isn’t easy at my age. Being single on NYE sometimes is even harder. I always desire to bring in the new year in style but can never come up with anything…BUT I think this is it!!! What way to feel better about things by celebrating at a top place in the city I love! I’d bring my best friend for sure and show her how single girls just want to/ can have fun!

  68. Mesha December 2, 2011 at 2:22 am #

Im single. So is my best mate. It’s depressing at times. Even more so on NYE. BUT this opportunity would show us a good time and remind us – that girls just wanna/ can have fun!!!

  69. Josh December 2, 2011 at 2:32 am #

i promise i’ll lose 10 lbs. next year! last year i was home alone dateless, this year would be spectacular.

  70. Jennifer December 2, 2011 at 6:48 am #

I want to start the first day of the new year to be memorable in 2012.

  71. Janiece December 2, 2011 at 7:36 am #

As a native Portlander, this is one of the few remaining Portland traditions that I’ve never experienced before. Shall we dance? ;-)

  72. steadycat December 2, 2011 at 9:18 am #

    thanks for the chance!

  73. Lara December 2, 2011 at 9:27 am #

Would love to hoof it with the other revelers. Sign me up!

  74. Madge December 2, 2011 at 9:36 am #

To pretend to be carefree and ring in the new year with sparkle and shine rather than anxiety about paying the next bill would be a truly fine gift indeed.

  75. Tanya December 2, 2011 at 9:51 am #

I’d love the opportinity to dress up and celebrate NYE at the biggest and most awesome party in Portland! :)

  76. goldielocks December 2, 2011 at 10:17 am #

I need a place to wear my drop-dead gorgeous, backless beaded gown. ‘Nuff said.

  77. MJ December 2, 2011 at 10:23 am #

Wow. This sounds like a crazy fun time… Totally out of my buget but maybe you’ll pick me to win!

  78. Toby December 2, 2011 at 10:47 am #

I am crossing my fingers that this year I won’t be sick on New Years day, which has been MY tradition. I think if I win, it will break my bad luck STREAK…so please help me and pick me!

  79. Lisa December 2, 2011 at 11:02 am #

This will be my first NEW YEARS in Portland and I would love to party in style…and since I have not found a job (i am volunteering, that counts, right?) this would make it easier for me to have fun on a budget (of $0). Thanks!

  80. John Jay December 2, 2011 at 11:10 am #

    Enter me too please, woohoo!

  81. James December 2, 2011 at 11:31 am #

This is the party, this is where it is at. That’s why.

  82. tom pearson December 2, 2011 at 12:13 pm #

  89. Lonia December 2, 2011 at 4:31 pm #

Hi, I would love to attend this because I am a Oregonian that has had little to no luck meeting someone I am really interested in or someone that can stimulate my mind. This event sounds classy and fun. I love the NO Jeans theme. I love living here in Portland but don’t get out that often due to my responsibilities. I planned on bringing my new year in at home with some champagne and the tv. I think winning tickets to this event could change the way my new year comes in and goes out.

  90. Michelle December 2, 2011 at 4:38 pm #

Because it would give me a fabulous reason to get all gussied up to ring in that last year on earth ;)

  91. Katie December 2, 2011 at 4:49 pm #

    I’d love to go!

  92. Kelly December 2, 2011 at 5:19 pm #

  101. Linda December 3, 2011 at 11:44 am #

I have lived in the Portland/Vancouver area for the past 10 years and of those, I’ve been 21 for 3 of them. Since I turned 21 I have been stuck at home on New Years having a lame party at my parent’s house. In May I graduate from college and I’d really like to make this New Years great by winning these tickets and celebrating the night away! I’m majoring in Fisheries Biology and I never get a chance to dress up, so this party would finally give me a reason to wear a dress and get ‘gussied up’! Please choose me!!

Last year I reconnected with my 9th grade boyfriend. …32 years later. We’ve spent the entire year getting to know each other again via Facebook, Emails and Phone calls. In October, I moved with my two boys to Oregon from California so we could live near the most amazing positive beautiful human being I’ve ever known. We’ve both had our share of up and downs in life and nothing would be more awesome than to start the New Year/Future together than being at the best New Year’s Party ever!

  109. Laura December 4, 2011 at 8:03 am #

If elected to go to this years 2011/2012 Champagne Ball, my sister and I will be witty, charming, and a general delight. We will tell humourous anecdotes, laugh at others jokes, and wear very nice party hats.

We would love to meet you, and hope to see you there!

  110. Michelle December 4, 2011 at 9:34 am #

I would LOVE to go! I have never been to an official New Years Eve party and it sounds amazing!!

  111. Enginerd December 4, 2011 at 10:32 am #

I want to go because I finally ended years of medication permitting me from enjoying life and I quit smoking this year. I’ve been cursed with bad experiences on NYE for the past 6 years so it’s time I change that. I want to start the new year off right by attending the best NYE party Portland has to offer, celebrating a rebirth of my life.

  112. Erica O December 4, 2011 at 11:20 am #

We would love to go to this!!

  113. Erin December 4, 2011 at 11:21 am #

I would love to win so I could get dressed up and dance!

  114. kim December 4, 2011 at 12:25 pm #

I have never been to a black tie event and I think it would be a great evening. I can not afford to go.

  115. Tanya Posey December 4, 2011 at 3:57 pm #

We are a couple of burlesque dancers from Seattle that want to pop down to Portland to rock the biggest party there. We love your town and want to visit on your big night. Sparkles and feathers will abound.

  116. Bill and Sharon Kaufmann December 4, 2011 at 6:51 pm #

We’ve lived in Tacoma for over 25 years and have always enjoyed celebrating New Years in Portland as our holiday get away. This year Bill is unemployed and Sharon is in very poor health with traumatic kidney failure. Our only income is social security disability which isn’t much. It will probably be Sharon’s last New Years, and we would love to spend it together in the city where we have made so many wonderful memories during our marriage. Thank you, and god bless. Bill and Sharon K.

  117. Rachel AJB December 4, 2011 at 7:46 pm #

New Years eve is my husband’s birthday. We ALWAYS have a party for him but, alas, we just moved to Portland and don’t know enough people to have a party this year. I would love to surprise him with a big party- even if it is with strangers! Maybe we could meet some people!

  118. Stephanie December 4, 2011 at 8:37 pm #

I never do anything for NYE and want to shake things up this year!

  119. Iris Jackson December 4, 2011 at 8:57 pm #

Me and some girlfriends were looking for something to do and decided the Seattle is boring and that taking the train down and making an amazing weekend in Portland was the thing to do. Your shindig looks like the best party this year. Were all looing forward to getting all dolled but and having a blast.

  120. Ruby December 4, 2011 at 9:35 pm #

I have nothing to do for new years eve and I look to damn gooooood to be sitting home alone.

  121. Elizabeth M. December 4, 2011 at 9:46 pm #

Quick…I need a witty remark. My resolution for December 6, 2011 is to win tickets to Portland’s coolest New Year’s Eve party! My resolutions at the Champagne Ball include: (1) Meet the Love of my Life, (2) Realign my expectations (3) Meet a stranger (4) Laugh (5) Laugh a lot (6) Dance (7) Drink, a reasonable amount (8) Ring in my first PDX New Years and (9) Call a cab.

  122. drea December 4, 2011 at 9:51 pm #

I would like to give this as a present to my sister who is a mother of 2 and a student. She deserves a night to dress up and celebrate her new year in style. She is awesome and I love her and I would love to see the look on her face when I hand her two tickets to paradise..(for a night).

  123. Andrea Espinosa December 4, 2011 at 9:55 pm #

This event would be the best time of my life! Ive never been to a fancy new years party and i would greatly appreciate it!!!

  124. Michelle December 5, 2011 at 9:28 am #

  125. Maggie December 5, 2011 at 10:10 am #

Knowing that a portion of the proceeds of your Champagne Ball is going towards the Children’s Cancer Association, I would love to be part of this worthwhile event. Thank you for bringing in the New Year with this cause in mind.

We’ve had 2 kids in the last two years and have a babysitter for NYE with no plans yet! We met on a NYE 5yrs ago and have not been able to celebrate properly since. We just moved to PDX a year ago and this looks like a good time.

I would love to be apart of the Champagne Ball experience! I have wanted to go for years, and it is always too expensive. I know a portion of the sales goes toward the Children’s Cancer Association, which is amazing! However, if I win tickets I would like to donate the money I would have spent on them directly to the Children’s Cancer Association. It is important to me to have the money go directly to them. So pick me and together we can have fun and help kids, all for a good cause!!!!

  166. maya December 8, 2011 at 8:32 pm #

I will stir up every dance floor…make everyone smile and up their dance moves to HIGH groove or ULTRA smooth. I just want to be dancing all night! 4 dance floors? Can’t beat that!

  167. Karmell J December 9, 2011 at 9:24 am #

  204. Stephanie Klein December 19, 2011 at 11:23 am #

I want to go so I can start the year off right. Like most people, 2012 sucked. So I want to go to this kick a$$ party, bring my best friend who may have a had a crappier 2011 than me, drink, eat, dance, and countdown to the awesome 2012 and hopefully find some guy to kiss.

  205. Steve Colburn December 19, 2011 at 2:33 pm #

I’m playin’ the sympathy card for all its worth. Last Wednesday, my wife fractured her hip whlile we were on the way to visit family in San diego. After surgery there that evening she is recovering nicely. However, if we don’t win this, we’ll have to stay home on New Years! That would be a real shame as we are such good partiers.

  206. Scott Pierce December 19, 2011 at 5:24 pm #

    Odds of winning keep increasing.

  207. Mariah December 20, 2011 at 2:53 pm #

  211. Teagan Walden December 21, 2011 at 8:26 pm #

Ah, the magic of this evening would truly be wild if I could attend this prestigious event. I would represent the PDX pipeline with style, finesse and of course classy celebration. My date and I would be honored to attend this glorious event!

  212. K. Illana Goodwin December 22, 2011 at 8:29 am #

If I win I promise to dance all night long with random strangers, be delightful and charming to all I meet, drink champagne until I see double, and fall into the arms of the Hilton’s sweet accommodations.

  213. Manny December 22, 2011 at 2:52 pm #

If I win, I promise to be “nice” for the coming year. Wish everyone I meet that night a Happy New Year (and actually mean it) and ask them what their hopes, goals and dreams are for the new year and help them achieve them!

  214. Dave G December 22, 2011 at 3:04 pm #

I would like to win simply because we have never been to this wonderful event. Our routine has been very uneventful for many years and it would be nice to bring in the new year a little differently for a change.

  219. nicole December 22, 2011 at 10:46 pm #

I lost 160 pounds and I want to look all snazzy and feel all sparkly on NYE. Plus I am 2 months pregnant and would like to wear my new dress before I am too fat to put it on. And I am engaged, so we are kind of broke with all the transition!

  220. Tino December 23, 2011 at 5:46 am #

  224. Jason Pfeifer December 24, 2011 at 3:52 am #

I want to go because I will be in town visiting, planning to move to Portland in the summer 2012. What a better way to get a taste for the city than Champagne Ball! Plus, as Steve Jobs said “Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

  226. Teneka December 24, 2011 at 10:27 am #

2011 has been such a year of failure & heartbreak. I’m keeping optimistic that 2012 will be my savior from the epic fail. What better way to welcome it than such an amazing event for free?

  227. Tanika Campbell December 24, 2011 at 5:08 pm #

  229. Sarah December 26, 2011 at 11:59 am #

I would love to do something besides going to our local sports bar. It would be great to have somewhere to go where I can wear a dress and heels!

  230. Michael Clothier December 26, 2011 at 7:09 pm #

I would finally get to put my ball gown, monocle, and carriage to good use…

  232. Kathey S December 27, 2011 at 8:14 am #

It would be wonderful to win these tickets. I have lived in Portland all my life, and have always heard how awesome this party is. New Years is filled with new hopes and Dreams. My cousin I just met for the first time two years ago just passed away, and My Mother passed away Dec 21,Sometimes when your heart is filled with sadness, you want to escape, even if it just for a few hours with people whom are enjoying life, and who are happy even for a moment.

  233. Brian December 27, 2011 at 12:47 pm #

My wife has been super bored today and it would be great to give her something to look forward to!

  234. Becky December 28, 2011 at 6:16 am #

Winning tickets would be a dream come true. I just turned 21 this year and I’ve been fantasizing about a very fancy New Years Party to ring-in my adulthood. I work 40+ hrs a week @ both a day job & a late-night job. If that wasn’t enough, I’m also a full time student at PSU (also takes classes at PCC on the side). I work SO hard all year long to support myself and I just want to celebrate my independence. Hard living makes you feel old really fast, I just want these tickets to have fun and be a normal 21 yr old. Without the tickets I’d just take another shift at work for New Years’ because being a student is like bleeding money.

  235. Jason December 28, 2011 at 9:14 am #

I have friends going and would love to join them in rocking in the new year!

  236. Renee December 28, 2011 at 9:53 am #

I would love to do something like this for New Years, it’s my first new years I can celebrate being over 21, last year I was serving in the United States Navy and wasnt able to do anything. I can’t afford tickets but would love to go!!!

  241. Melissa August 14, 2012 at 11:39 pm #

My husband and I are happy to support a great cause and will be buying tickets! Although we would love to invite some friends to come along that would otherwise be unable to come. I do think it is a tough decision to find a worthy candidate for these tickets as many of these stories are powerful. Good luck.

  242. Kristy October 12, 2012 at 12:59 pm #

What a year this has been so far! Between the death of my father and my husband losing then finding a new job this has been one heck of a ride. I would love to celebrate the ending of this year since things have been so positive lately! I am excited to celebrate the next year (expecially if the end of the world doesn’t happen on Dec 21!). We have been in Portland now for 2 yrs and love it. Good luck deciding :)

This sounds like exactly the fun and romantic New Years Eve we have been looking for!! We live in Southern Oregon, are recently engaged and work so much we haven’t had any time to celebrate yet. We are dying to come up to Portland for New Years and this event looks like an incredible way to spend it!!

I would love to go with my husband somewhere for New Year’s Eve. My husband is active duty Army and this is our first New Year’s Eve in Portland. We would never be able to afford tickets like these. It would be awesome to spend New Year’s Eve together at an awesome and elegant event like this since our friends and family are over 2,000 miles away. Thank you in advance for consideration in picking us!!

  256. Courtney December 4, 2012 at 1:45 pm #

I would love to go to the ball because this will be the first New Year’s Eve my boyfriend and I will be able to spend together in the six years of our relationship. I would love for it to be special.

  260. Valerie December 12, 2012 at 4:46 pm #

This will be our first year in Portland for New Years and we really want to do it up right and brag to our friends back home! Yep, gotta brag, we have earned our bragging rights moving away from what was known & comfortable to this wonderful City that we find ourselves on a new advenuture pretty much every day! Now to end the year and start the new year in style.

  261. Heather December 13, 2012 at 8:52 pm #

  262. Jim December 24, 2012 at 11:18 am #

I would love to take my Girlfriend to this event this year.

  263. mike December 25, 2012 at 2:43 pm #

Help us take a well needed break from building a boat to sail around the world! Our summer vacation was laying up fiberglass, sanding, painting and launching our boat for it’s first float. I owe my girlfirend a night to be a Princess for all the sacrifices and hardwork. Its just us working on this boat, no trust fund, we are taking a big gamble giving up everything for a different way of finding smiles! She has been by my side rain or shine, fatigued, exhausted, lacerations, and all else that involves this adventure. Two tickets would light out fire with a New Years resolution to finish this boat!

  264. Shannon December 27, 2012 at 9:03 pm #

On new years husband and I will be married 18 years…we have 4 kids, my husband works fulltime AND attends school fulltime in the evenings..working so hard towards his degree to provide a better future for us all..This would be an amazing anniversary surprise for him if I were to win these tickets..thank you in advance for considering us…Shannon

  265. Dan December 28, 2012 at 2:34 pm #

I would love tickest because you guys are awesome!

  266. Lindsey Edwards November 6, 2013 at 5:35 pm #

Oh my goodness! Ill be 23 come december and I was raised as Jehovah’s Witness and was never allowed the opportunity to celebrate New Years! I recently detached from the religion, and would love nothing more than to share such a special moment and experience with the love of my life.

  267. Hannah November 14, 2013 at 1:15 am #

I would like to go to this event because NYE is my husband and I’s anniversary as well. I am active duty military and was on duty for our first anniversary and our wedding ended up being a small get together because I had orders to a new unit a week after our wedding so we had very short notice. I would really love to be able to dress up and have a romantic night with my husband for our second anniversary and make up for the fact that we havent really been able to have that “magical romantic evening” I wished we could have. We are now stationed two hours away from Portland in a very small town and love any chance to go to the city. It would be an amazing experience.

  268. Kim S. November 16, 2013 at 4:47 pm #

I would like to win tickets because I haven’t been on a date in 13 years and my life has been pretty sad over the last 9 years. Help me change this fate and be happy for once in my life. :-)

  269. Ashley November 22, 2013 at 3:02 pm #

Because my boyfriend and I would dress to the nines, and have an awesome time bringing in 2014!
