I’ve never even heard of a coffee fair before, but I’d love to go!

  2. Hope October 31, 2011 at 2:26 pm #

I love coffee! Especially here in Portland. I’d love to attend this wonderful event. Oh, did I mention that I love coffee!! ;)

  3. Kimberley W October 31, 2011 at 2:27 pm #

NEED COFFEE!!! NOW!!! (Oh, and perhaps this weekend, too!) ;) Seriously, though, this sounds like a great event! Many thanks for the giveaway!

  4. Judy Adair October 31, 2011 at 2:27 pm #

I would like to go to the Coffee Fair and win a prize.

Thank you for keeping us informed!

  5. Eva Schweber October 31, 2011 at 2:27 pm #

Why I want to win these free tickets (in no particular order):
    1. I am enough of a coffee snob that I brought Spella beans to California so I could do a taste test against Bluebottle coffee.
    2. Every year I have at least one caffeine-tolerance reboot (aka I quit caffeine) and I am constantly searching for the perfect decaf replacement.
    3. As a former goat dairy farmer, I love any brewer or blend that referenced dancing goats.
    4. Please choose me.

Hi! My friend and I love the coffee fair. It’s a special fun date thing that we like to do. We really bonded over last year’s fair. Free tickets and gift bag would make us so happy!

  7. Dawn D October 31, 2011 at 2:49 pm #

I don’t like coffee but I would go with my husband who does. Maybe I would find a coffee I do like.

  8. Elizabeth October 31, 2011 at 3:02 pm #

Hello, I love coffee and I have wanted to go to this fair. I hope I get pick, so I can enjoy this ‘beautiful’ beverage.

  9. Ben October 31, 2011 at 3:06 pm #

I love the coffee fair and B&B are probably my favorite roasters. Thanks for the opportunity.

  10. Erica Schoenborn October 31, 2011 at 3:12 pm #

My husband and I LOVE the Coffee Fair!! We discovered it last year, and have been looking forward to it for the last several months! We love coffee, but we try to drink it in moderation — and always try to purchase it from high quality roasters! Batdorf & Bronson is one of our favorites!!

I’ve never won anything from PDX Pipeline — this would be such an exciting prize!

  11. Brandi October 31, 2011 at 3:22 pm #

What a fun event! I would love to learn secrets to coffee success!
Here are things that we could gain from the experience:

    1) A perfect cup of Joe every time! Today’s coffee in my pretty pink cup was not very tasty. But, it was just fine on Saturday morning and we used the same beans!!!

    2) Would be a great reason to hire a babysitter to spend some quality time with my husband!

    3) We need another travel mug….mine is leftover from 2000.

    4) I think we may just go…even if we don’t win! :)

  12. dana r. October 31, 2011 at 4:11 pm #

wow, would love to win this!! I am out of coffee and be needin some big time. !!

  13. marcia t October 31, 2011 at 4:52 pm #

i love coffee. EVERYONE else’s coffee, that is. I want to be the one choosing the perfect blend, brewing the perfect cup. I am a teacher, but this is the education I am in need of, and the drink I need all day long to level the playing field, for the energy that the teens in my class have quite naturally!

  14. Emily October 31, 2011 at 5:51 pm #

I am a local Batista and I would love to go to this! I live to learn anything about coffee and frankly, the place I work could use a few new (or retro) ideas….

  15. Emily October 31, 2011 at 5:54 pm #

Silly autocorrect! I obv meant barista

  16. Eric October 31, 2011 at 5:59 pm #

Mmm, a warm cup o Joe, with a basket-to-go… Yes, please.

  17. laura October 31, 2011 at 6:09 pm #

Would love to win and get a much needed coffee break!

  18. RyanH October 31, 2011 at 6:50 pm #

Sinatra sings to me each morning:
“Way down among Brazilians, Coffee beans grow by the billions, So they’ve got to find those extra cups to fill.”

So? I’ve got a morning ritual that involves dancing around the kitchen while waiting on the french press. If I don’t fit in at the Coffee fair, I don’t know who does.

  19. Sarah October 31, 2011 at 6:51 pm #

My coffee maker broke so I’ve been without one. I love coffee so this is such a problem for me. I’d love to win so I can use the Clever Coffee Drip and go to the Coffee Fair so I can once again be a coffee drinker.

  20. Sarah October 31, 2011 at 7:45 pm #

We love our coffee, and just moved to the Portland area– what a great way to spend a day!

  21. Gary Corbin October 31, 2011 at 8:17 pm #

I know you are awake, craving me. Just like yesterday and the day before, my scent makes you want me.

You know exactly where to find me. I am where you want me, every day. Alone, waiting, ready for you to take me. Take me! On the kitchen counter, take me! Carry me into the living room, if you want, for comfort. Put on some music if you need some background noise, for you know I will always be silent with you. But keep me close. Never leave me, or I will grow cold to you – and neither of us wants that.

I am strong. I know you like that about me. You’ve said it many times, and you’ve shown it every time you take me.

is using 12oz of beans a week mean that i’m an addict or enthusiast? either way, i’d like the tickets.

  23. lisa November 1, 2011 at 11:27 am #

One of the reasons I moved to Portland…bikes and COFFEEE.

I have been waiting for a coffee fair (among all of the beer fests) this year so please pick me to go!!!

  26. ShirleyD November 1, 2011 at 12:00 pm #

Recently received a coffee roaster from family since they all know how I LOVE COFFEE! The Coffee Fair would be the perfect venue for me to actually LEARN everything I need to know to become an all-around coffee snob…not just a daily “user”…

  27. Doug November 1, 2011 at 3:16 pm #

i was a barista for years before i began working independently. i still love coffee and have tried most of the local roasters’ in town. I love cafe vita, batdorf and bronson, and am a huge coffee and tea accessories enthusiast. I am to coffee what a stoner with a solid gold grinder, triple perc bong, and every live recording from phish is to marijuana. I want your basket. I tried to go to this fair two years ago, was out of town last year, and am so glad you reminded me this year. I will tell ten friends about pdxpipeline if you award these tickets to me, it’s a pretty good idea.

  28. Sarah November 1, 2011 at 3:57 pm #

Our family would love free tickets to this event. We are quite the coffee drinkers, even the little 3 and 4 year olds get steamers with the “essence” of coffee because they love the taste!

  29. fred November 1, 2011 at 6:09 pm #

I still have yet to find coffee I really love. This drawing may be my only chance!

  30. megan mcvay November 1, 2011 at 7:43 pm #

Oh my goodness, this would be so perfect to take my best friend to. We are both single moms that would be totally messed up with out our daily coffee. I really hope yiy pick me. We deserve to go smell and taste all the wonderful coffee!

  31. annie November 1, 2011 at 8:04 pm #

Wow, this sounds so good. Not only have I wanted to see the forestry center, but I love a good cup of coffee–and working on my coffee snobbery Portland-style. thanks for the chance!

  44. Jenny November 3, 2011 at 4:38 pm #

It’s a bit disappointing that not more of the local Portland coffee roasters are participating. Stumptown, Water Avenue, Coava, Ristretto and Extracto should support local organizations and events more. Where are their community spirit?

  45. Nathan November 3, 2011 at 4:43 pm #

This. I had no idea. Have been in PDX for four years and had no idea this event existed. Must go.

I’m a french press fanatic but would love to find other, perhaps tastier, ways to brew.

  71. tali November 4, 2011 at 1:21 pm #

I am a barista from San Francisco trying to make it here in Portland. Not going too well, I would love the chance to learn more and put that towards my career goal, working as a barista in a coffee central place like Portland. Also, coffee excites me! Help a girl out PDX.

Also, spreading them out and making them larger might help. Thanks.
