SE Portland Pick: East Burn – 1800 East Burnside Street

Get your green on and come join East Burn! The Guinness will be flowing and Mike will be making plenty of Corned Beef and Colcannon! No Lines, and plenty O’ Parking!!  $2 cover starting at 9 p.m., live music at 10pm with FUNKTASTIC. $2 off all tequila. Erin Go Bragh!

Downtown Portland Pick: Thirsty Lion St. Patrick’s Day Festival

Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill will open its doors at 11 a.m. for the highly anticipated St. Patrick's Day Festival on Thursday, March 17th. A $30 festival wristband  gets you into Thirsty Lion, Barracuda, Dixie Tavern, Lotus and Gypsy. Both Thirsty Lion locations will feature live music starting at 11am and running through midnight on St. Patrick's Day. Bagpipers, Irish Dancers and performances will take place throughout the day as the Thirsty Lion comes alive with friends enjoying great beer, food and fun. Thirsty Lion's St. Patrick's menu features a diverse array of fresh, local ingredients, with dishes such as Oven Roasted Lamb Shank, Corned Beef & Savoy Cabbage Wraps, Beer Braised Corned Beef Brisket and Bushmill's Bing Cherry Bread Pudding. SE Portland Music Pick: Mt. Tabor St. Patrick’s Day Party

Get ready for the progressive rock and roll sounds of Acorn Project and Mars Retrieval Unit as they tap the luck the of the Irish to bring you a psychedelic and funky dance party from outer space. Deep electro-funk grooves and sonic instrumental exploration interlaced with a provocative indie-rock song writing ability have become the signatures of Bellingham, Washington's Acorn Project. Pearl District Portland Pick: Blitz Pearl

Blitz Pearl celebrates the Luck of the Irish this year with a night of wearing green, drinking beer, and hopefully, getting a wee bit lucky. Enjoy live music and videos from DJ Sovern-T as well as St. Patrick’s Day drink specials. As usual, pool, darts, air hockey and shuffleboard will all be available for your entertainment. Starring Jennifer Aniston in her big screen debut, this March 17th witness the wrath of one of cinema's most beloved and diminutive villains. Robbed of his gold and locked in a trunk, the titular leprechaun of Leprechaun finally bursts free, stalking the lower part of the screen to reclaim his pot of treasure and enact carnage on those standing in his way.
