The three most horrifying haunted houses in the whole Pacific Northwest return to the Portland Memorial Coliseum as Cricket presents FRIGHTTOWN! A festival of fear awaits you at every turn as you venture into the maddening depths of Elshoff Manor, The Chop Shop and Baron Von Goolo's Museum of Horrors!  Last year, the local media were unanimous in their praise of FrightTown and international horror fanzine Rue Morgue Magazine went so far as to call FrightTown one of the best attractions of its kind on the entire continent.

Come join in the screams and thrills! Packed into 40,000 square feet, FrightTown is the largest, scariest and wildest Halloween attraction in all of Oregon and washington. Open every day through Halloween except Monday and Tuesday, FrightTown will have everyone sleeping with the lights on until Christmas!

FrightTown
Presented by Cricket Wireless, FrightTown is Portland's largest haunted house complex and includes Elshoff Manor, The Chop Shop and Baron Von Goolo's Museum of Horrors. FrightTown is co-produced and performed by 1031 Community Theatre. Founded in 2005, the 1031 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation dedicated to advancing the arts in our community by staging innovative, original and "immersive" theatre with an eye to reinvigorating the wonder lost in most modern celebrations of Halloween.

In 2010, FrightTown is open Oct 1&2, 8-10, 14-17, 20-24 & 27-31, from 7p — 10p on weekdays and 7p — 11p on weekends. Tickets are priced at $20.00 for admission to all three haunted attractions. Tickets can be purchased at the door. To receive prior event sale notices, pre-sale opportunities, and prizes join our free Rose Quarter CyberClub at RoseQuarter.com. Coupons for $5 off regular admission are available at local retailers including Bi-Mart, Cricket Wireless and Spirit Halloween Stores, as well as online at frighttown.com

NOTE: Parents are warned by the scary nature of the haunted house and should use caution when bringing young children to FrightTown.

  4. Adriane October 14, 2010 at 3:28 pm #

I usually wouldn’t condone any sort of book burning, and Von Goolo’s estimation of ham sandwiches is sorely underrated, but DAMN this is a GOOD IDEA! and it would be TO scary if there were any copies left of that stupid book after the burn!

  5. Matt Shoobridge October 14, 2010 at 3:49 pm #

I would love to be there for the special book burning event of twilight!

  6. Emily Smith October 14, 2010 at 3:55 pm #

No, it’s definitely Saturday. On our site, the date was correct but the day was wrong. We discovered the typo right around the time you made your comment and it’s been corrected now. Sorry about that!

Don’t wait to inculcate your kids w/pyro fervor. And Twilight’s Teenage Vampires must die! I’d prefer they died of terminal acne, but crackling in a book bonfire will do.

My fiancee is a GREAT screamer!
We would love to win tickets!!!

  18. glenn October 15, 2010 at 12:12 pm #

I would love to take my daughter. She (and I) have never been to a haunted house. We are from Europe, Switzerland to be exact, and before we moved to Portland we didn’t know much about Halloween. Please pick us, we would be sooo happy. Thank you so much!!!
