I would love to attend this show… we have just bought our first house in April and now we are realizing what it means to be homeowners. So many projects! I am hoping this show will help us with some ideas, learn from experts and point us in the right direction. Also it’s my birthday on Friday- so winning something this weekend would be great fun!

While I am not lucky enough to be a homeowner any longer, I am one of those rare renters that likes to treat my rental home to the same treatment as if I did own it. I am always on the look out for new ideas and products to help me keep my cottage looking like a lovely jewel. I will go even if I don’t win the tickets, but will be able to spend more dollars at the show if I get to go for free ;-)

I was just recently laid off from Monrovia Growers in Dayton, OR. Since my network is fairly limited, due to me moving from Des Moines, IA this would be an opportunity to enhance my network in hopes of landing a job. Thanks for your consideration on handing me a pair of tickets.

My wife & I just bought our first house in Portland and we have SO many ideas about what we want to do to the house and yard! The show would be a great place to get lots of ideas and talk to lots of vendors all in one place.

Can’t wait to go even if we don’t win the tickets!

    Thanks – JK

I would love to attend this weekend! We bought our first home in the spring with plans to turn the front yard into a garden and build a patio in the backyard. I can’t wait to get ideas (and potentially products) from all the vendors.

  19. Barbara C September 30, 2010 at 5:35 pm #

My yard looks like garbage right now and I need some new ideas for the home before hibernation sets in. I need the inspiration and resources to transform my home. The Fall Home and Garden show is just the ticket. Oh, if only I had some…

The missus and I aim to make a statement meant to inspire others: living sustainably is possible. Growing food is part of it but so is sex appeal. Our new place is on a busy street across from a coffee house with patrons parking in front of our house all day. Though we are mainly do-it-yourselfers, I’ll be damned if it won’t look professionally done. This home and garden show sounds like a good place.

I would love to win tickets, I have been teaching for 25 years and am looking to retire in the next year or two and I want to start fixing the house up for retirement. The kids are gone and it is time we took our house from the 70’s to the 21st century. I want to go green so I need lots of ideas. Our yard needs some ideas as we are in the process of changing our yard into an city farm so we can harvest what we plant. We are do- it yourself type of people with a little help. I would love to win tickets to see what ideas are out there.

I would love to attend the home and garden show. My husband and I are just finishing our first year as homeowners and we have so many projects that we need to finish both inside and outside the house. We went last year and got lots of great ideas so I know this is an awesome event.

  23. Stacey September 30, 2010 at 8:01 pm #

I guess it’s because we own a house now, but I’ve got it real bad. Am always sketching out garden plans and home renovation projects… would love to go to the show!

  24. Meg September 30, 2010 at 10:49 pm #

I’m in over my head with this 1924 bungalow! I am in search of inspiration and vision. Attending the show also seems like an effective way to meet contractors and suppliers.

  25. mindy September 30, 2010 at 11:55 pm #

I’d love to go to this! Please pick me!!

  26. Stephanie October 1, 2010 at 5:50 am #

I live in a cute little cabin in N. Portland but the yard needs HELP. I’m always looking for ideas and try hard to make changes. But, it’s not always easy on my teacher’s salary. I would love to find resources to help with this endeavor. :)

  27. Mike L October 1, 2010 at 8:39 am #

We’d desperately need to attend the Home & Garden show. We bought a house just this spring with more backyard than we anticipated, and we’ve been fighting huge amounts of weeds ever since. We reall need better anti-weed strategies if we’re going to have any free time to ourselves. Thanks!

Me Me Please! Myself and my friend Karen, are both in the middle of Landscaping projects AND home window replacement projects. We both hope to get our old leaky- squeeky -drafty window replaced before the freezing temps settle in. Needly to say, we need to get going! Plus this is the best time of year for planting and landscaping. I took a few classes and am attempting my first landscape makeover on my friend karen’s house. I need some backup help. The Portland Fall Home and Garden show is just what these girls need!!!! Pick us! Please.

We have never been able to go to this and my Husband starts his vacation today and this will be our first vacation together in years and what a treat to be able to go to this together…and I have also been down with a horrible chest cold so it would make it that much sweeter now that I am feeling better to be able to get out with my Hubby and enjoy this… :)

  31. Jeff H October 1, 2010 at 12:23 pm #

Have you seen my back yard? I need ideas, people!

  32. Suz October 1, 2010 at 12:32 pm #

My boyfriend and I are ready to get married but first we have a million projects to finish up in his house before we can move in together… let alone “make it official” (I have two kids from a previous marriage and won’t move in with him until we’re married and the house isn’t ready for the four of us.)

PLEASE pick us so we can get some much needed inspiration, get this show on the road, finish these projects up and tie the knot!
