I’m allergic to un-organic beer…In all seriousness, I appreciate the effort and time that goes in to making the stuff. I hear it’s not easy. Plus, it’s a great event in terms of crowds and accessibility.

    • frangelico June 24, 2010 at 2:56 pm #

i am a virgin who has never sworn nor had a drop of alcohol in my life. pick me and you could change my life in a single night…forever.

    • Andrea June 24, 2010 at 4:16 pm #

I’ve lived in Portland for over a year now and have yet to attend a brew fest. Being a second-year law student doesn’t leave a lot of time or money for beer festivals, so this prize would be greatly appreciated.

    • JOANN June 25, 2010 at 2:09 am #

Because I love BEER!!!!!! Especially ORGANIC BEER!!!!!!!

  2. Jennifer Brewer June 21, 2010 at 12:28 pm #

Stumbled upon this beer fest last year and had such a great time! I would love to surprise my hard-working boyfriend with this awesome prize!!! :-)

  3. jarrod June 21, 2010 at 12:29 pm #

I want to go! I never get to win anything and I love organic beers! I am excited to try Bald Guy Brown, and Yerba Mate Black Lager. Pick me.

  4. David Long June 21, 2010 at 12:33 pm #

    Beer. What’s NOT to Like?

  5. Liz June 21, 2010 at 12:53 pm #

I want to go because this is the best beer fest in Portland. A) it’s in a great location and has the best shade tree. B) It’s not a crazy bonanza like the big one downtown. Just the right size and not too crowded. C) It’s all organic beer to boot!

  6. Frannie June 21, 2010 at 12:54 pm #

I’m totally broke and I love beer. Im taking on a 2nd job starting one week from today, this weekend is gonna be the only ‘summer’ I get – PLEASE PICK ME!

  7. Laurie June 21, 2010 at 1:00 pm #

Although this is not an uncommon condition, I just lost my job.
Beer would take away some of the pain and anxiety, at least for a few hours. And this one is a fantastic fest. Slainte.

  8. Leeroy June 21, 2010 at 1:18 pm #

I was an organic hop in another life. So the NAOBF is a family reunion of sorts.

    Please buy my ticket.

  9. Nikki June 21, 2010 at 1:42 pm #

ya’ know there is nothing like a wonderfully tasting beer on a summers day in the shade of a large tree, listening to the music and the laughter of children playing in the background. The love I have for this festival is in a word…”Organic”

  10. Kenny Schmidt June 21, 2010 at 2:43 pm #

This will be my 4th NAOBF, and it is my favorite brew fest EVER! Overlook Park is wonderful, but add great organic beers, great people, sunshine and you have a recipe for the best damn brew fest ever! This year I want my girlfriend to experience her first NAOBF!

  11. Levi June 21, 2010 at 3:35 pm #

    because i love organic beer!

  12. alyson June 21, 2010 at 3:47 pm #

yahoo! what a great giveaway. I’m excited to drink yummy organic beer and celebrate the first weekend of summer!!

  13. Vanessa C June 21, 2010 at 6:05 pm #

I am in total heart with the organic brew fest. They’ll be plenty of green space all around, and we’re supposed to have real sunshine! Hook a unemployed sister up so she can enjoy a hoppy taste of summer!

  14. Jason Barton June 21, 2010 at 7:14 pm #

Ahhhh beer. The true nectar of the gods. The fountain of youth if you will. I’ve had all kinds of beer but never new portland to brew organic beer. Would love to try some and hope teel friends how good it is.

  15. Matt June 21, 2010 at 9:01 pm #

My buddy is riding his bike from Vancouver BC to San Diego, CA to raise money for literacy. He’s stopping in Portland just in time for the NAOBF and I think a refreshing, organic pint (or several) would be the perfect welcome for his first time in Portland. Even if I don’t win the tickets check out his website: http://www.bikeforreading.org

  16. Traci Palmer June 22, 2010 at 12:35 am #

I want to go taste some yummy beers! Who wouldn’t right? I’m on a budget so I will not be able to go unless it is for free =)

  17. Josh C. June 22, 2010 at 10:11 am #

I want to go because I haven’t missed one yet! Plus, supporting local and/or organic breweries is the right thing to do.

    See you there!

  18. Emily June 22, 2010 at 7:07 pm #

this will be my first time at this beer festival, and I am so excited to try all the great organic beers and support sustainable living! My husband and I are poor students who love great organic beer, and this would really be a highlight of this year!

  19. Jason June 23, 2010 at 1:40 am #

Regardless if you pick me I’m going on Saturday at noon! Hopefully the weather will hold up and all is sunny, but if it doesn’t I’ll be the guy at the Upright booth having a Rose City Seven. The Seven is awesome by itself and I can’t wait to see what some added floral will do to this beer!

    • Amy Dubin June 24, 2010 at 12:19 pm #

      I like the 4. :9

  20. SS June 23, 2010 at 10:43 am #

    Mmmmmmmm, beeeeeeeeeeer.

  21. Kim June 23, 2010 at 10:43 am #

Between getting a $90 parking ticket (while drinking at Apex, no less) and the summer getting cancelled, the midway point of 2010 has left me with the brews. Get it?!? Help take away my brews and replace ’em with the good kind of brews, pretty please.

  22. Sean Stutzman June 23, 2010 at 10:43 am #

If I win I’m going to make sure the event feels my love. Handshakes, hugs, smiles, and compliments will flow everywhere I go. I will do that if given this opportunity.

  23. callie June 23, 2010 at 10:48 am #

i am going ANYWAYS, so you might as well give me the money to make it even more fun :)

  24. Jeremy June 23, 2010 at 10:52 am #

I would like to win, because I’m working on my beer belly for summer. After a weekend at the Organic Brewers Fest, I will be ready to slip into those swimming trunks with a perfectly plump body!

  25. Carter June 23, 2010 at 11:02 am #

I have been a captive of some uninteresting beer selections in Central California for 9 months now, and after that I am fed up of their beer. I have returned home to my home state to indulge myself on Oregon tea (gold?) that is Oregon beer as well as the strong Oregon beer culture. It is events like this that make me miss being home…

  26. Megan June 23, 2010 at 11:07 am #

Because I’m a beer snob… Which could be the reason I’m broke… Right?

  27. Sean June 23, 2010 at 11:38 am #

My girlfriend and I are going through a bit of a tough patch and what better way to mend it than sharing some fresh, crisp organic beer under the Oregon sunshine.

  28. Kevin Haffner June 23, 2010 at 1:01 pm #

Both my wife and I love NW microbrews and beer festivals but we haven’t been able to get out much since our son was born. I would love to surprise my wife with an afternoon away at the Organic Beer festival!

  29. Aimee June 23, 2010 at 7:22 pm #

well, let’s see…one of my best friends, is driving all the way from hagerman idaho to go to this fesitval. she is a doctor of chinese medicine and lives in the middle of nowhere with lots of farmers and cows ..let’s say that “great organic beer” is not easily accessible for her. so here she comes..driving almost 6 hundred miles and 8 hours, to come drink some awesome beer and be with great people. It would be great to win, so I can surprise her and make her trip even better.

  30. Benjamin June 23, 2010 at 9:53 pm #

I deserve to win because like, um, American Americans and stuff need beer to drink and, if they are illiterate like in East Asia and the Islands and places without…um…literacy, books and things, such as is….beer.

(If you don’t watch Miss Universe pageants, don’t rack your brain on this one.)

  31. Molly Wolverton June 24, 2010 at 11:54 am #

Please, bring me from weary to beery!

  32. Bobby June 24, 2010 at 12:07 pm #

I helped organize the Earth Day Celebration at Overlook Park in 2008 and loved that the Beer Festival followed it that year too.

“The festival goes beyond beer tasting by striving to be the most earth-friendly beer festival in North America.”

Being very earth-friendly, I am hoping to relax in one of the best parks in Portland!!!

  33. Mackenzie June 24, 2010 at 12:10 pm #

I would like to attend the NAOBF this year in celebration! Celebration of my new single status, and my acceptance to Lewis & Clark College (at almost 25, no less). This will be the first time that I will attend this event solo, and if I win… I can bring a cute single ladyfriend with me! :-)

  34. Woody June 24, 2010 at 12:11 pm #

Because I never win these things and am starting to feel like it’s a hoax….

  35. Mackenzie June 24, 2010 at 12:15 pm #

I will be attending this year’s NAOBF in celebration! Celebration of my new single status, and my acceptance to Lewis & Clark College (at almost 25, no less). This will be the first time for me to be attending an event of this size flying solo, but if I win… I can bring a fellow cute single ladyfriend with me! :-)

  36. Dave June 24, 2010 at 12:17 pm #

So my wisconsin college buddy is flying in Friday afternoon and I figured this would be the perfect way to show that even though wisconsin inevitably consumes more beer than Oregon, Oregon most definitely consumes better beer. I already have a Swedish, tequila consuming wedding in laurelhurst park lined up for him as well as pinot chugging in willamette valley and a sick builders and butchers show saturday night. No, we’re not gay but I don’t think I’ve ever shown a date this good of a time. Oh and last time we hung out was new year’s in minneapolis in which I was concerned with losing my memory card because it had so many photos on it. He told me the best way to keep all the photos was to swallow it because then the photos would be with me forever. This seemed to make obvious sense to me at the time so I swallowed it. Flew out the next day, was worried about setting off the metal detectors in the airport, and subsequently required an esophagogastroduodenoscopy to remove the memory card when I got back to Portland. Hey, and the photos were still on the card! Um, so let me prove to my buddy that I’m not a complete f#$k up and let’s go drink some organic brew!

  37. Amy Dubin June 24, 2010 at 12:18 pm #

My friend Elaine and I avid are not only avid supporters of Upright brewing, but we’re out several nights a week (all over town) talking to new people, spreading the word about delicious delicacies so the more we taste, the more we talk. All of these indie breweries could use some free word-of-mouth from a couple of foxy girls! Yeah? Yeah!!!!!!

  38. Jonah June 24, 2010 at 12:19 pm #

    A) Supporting local business and brewers of the best organic brew in the world!
    B) To find a favorite organic brew by tasting them all!
    C) I love mango Popsicles (That guy made a killing last year)
    D) I stocked up on my 50spf!

  39. Matt June 24, 2010 at 12:34 pm #

It would be nice to make it to the fest this year. I am a bit short on cash because I have been spending my time and money brewing for friends and family. It’s always nice to be able to taste what others are making.

  40. Jeremy Epstein June 24, 2010 at 1:10 pm #

Because with a belly full of organic beers I turn into a super hero, capable of befriending large groups of strangers with a single inappropriate hip thrusting, kick stepping, fox-trot-meets-crumping dance. Once you see my organic beer dance, you are putty in my super hero hands, and I in yours! Let’s raise our glasses then drain them and fall in love all over again my fellow Oregonians. Together we will prove once and for all that organic beer and love, and WMD’s and puppies and ghengis khan (during his reign) really do conquer all!

    • Jeremy Epstein June 24, 2010 at 1:11 pm #

      p.s. i’m broke too

  41. Alex & the Swede June 24, 2010 at 1:12 pm #

I am getting married Friday afternoon to my Swedish fiancée in Laurelhurst park with friends (yes, she’s a real Swede). After the wedding, we are going to hop on bikes and drag clanging cans on strings all the way up to Overlook to continue our wedding party at the brew fest. We will not disappoint! Will you? ;)

  42. Charles Doerrie June 24, 2010 at 1:20 pm #

I love northwest beers. I think I should go and try some out. Sign me up for $50 prize.

  43. Dylan Kasprzyk June 24, 2010 at 1:43 pm #

My friends and I have been to all of the beer fest in and around Portland except for this one. Why? I don’t know why! It has just landed on a weekend that we have had plans in the past. We usually seek out organic beers at the other festivals if they carry them. We are free this year and ready to party. If I score the free prize I am definitely bringing along a couple car loads for friends.
    Pick me pick me!
    CHeers!

  44. Nathan June 24, 2010 at 1:50 pm #

I should win the $50 package because I never win anything. As a result, I have been left out with the trash, heart broken, destitute, and drinking (and crying into) way too many cheap beers (to remain nameless).

  45. Summer Rae June 24, 2010 at 1:53 pm #

I decided to torture myself by taking 2 months of chemistry and chemistry labs this summer. Do you have any idea how much that sucks and how much I could use a beer (or several)?? Please have pity on me and send me to the beer fest!!

  46. MJones June 24, 2010 at 1:54 pm #

I just turned 21, have never been to a brewers festival before. Figure this is a perfect way to lose my brewfest virginity… Sounds like it will be at least.

  47. Ruby June 24, 2010 at 2:15 pm #

I’m a broke college kid that appreciates the finer things in life. Local(ish) organic beer, sunny days, and fabulous people.

  48. Claudia G June 24, 2010 at 2:26 pm #

I’d love to win to be able to try many local beers! I’m new to the area (only been living in the Northwest for a year) and there is still so much to know, to try, to drink! :)

  49. Berenice June 24, 2010 at 2:30 pm #

I love this event! I volunteered last year and was scheduled to do so again this Saturday but the world cup invaded my life with a case of severely awesome fútbol. I am thus forced to give up my volunteering spot to cheer on the US team during their match, which happens to start @ the very time my shift would’ve. Please help heal the rift in my soul from having to choose between the love of beer and the love of the best sporting event in existence! Please again.

  50. Bradford June 24, 2010 at 2:34 pm #

Beeford loves good brews. I’m psyched for this!

  51. Heather Reese June 24, 2010 at 2:46 pm #

Well, if you grown up around Fred Eckhardt, you’re bound to love beer and have to attend al the events! :]

  52. Alyssa June 24, 2010 at 2:46 pm #

I think I should be picked becauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse beer is awesome and delicious and is 90% of the reason I live in Portland. Seriously, it’s June 24th and we are having our first day of nice summer weather. Who would stick that out unless there were some seriously awesome beers and breweries to get you through that?! Pick meeeeeeeeee pleeeeeeeeeease! Comment comment comment.

  53. Alan June 24, 2010 at 2:48 pm #

Recently tried the Terminal Gravity IPA — good stuff. Now, I’d like to try some more of these great local, organic brews. If the prize is actually awarded for best comment — I’d vote for Jonah — but he’s gone before, some maybe a newby like me would be better after all.

    • Khathy June 24, 2010 at 11:07 pm #

Please pop my brewfest cherry. I’ve always wanted to go to this festival bur my dumbass has managed to miss it every year. My weekend this week consists of house-sitting during the night; gimme something awesome to do during the day (and get me all sortsa saucy) before having to tend to my grandmother come 8pm! Please!

  54. J. Free June 24, 2010 at 2:54 pm #

Portland boasts some of the finest locally-brewed beers I’ve drunk in the country, and the organic beers just raise the bar, as far as I’m concerned. I can still fit in the t-shirt I bought at the last NAOBF, so if I win, maybe I can work my way up to a larger size!

  55. Eric June 24, 2010 at 2:59 pm #

I a homebrewer, I’m always sampling beers and looking for new ingredients and processes to improve my brews. I’d love the opportunity to see how I can integrate more organic ingredients into my lineup!

  56. Brian June 24, 2010 at 3:01 pm #

I didn’t get in on the first give away, so I’m trying again…PLEASE…for the love of all that’s holy…I have NO MONEY and need BEER! ORGANIC BEER!

  57. craig yantzer June 24, 2010 at 3:02 pm #

Oh how I love this beer festival! I would love to attend this year, but wont be able to without the help of pipeline due to tight finances. Help entertain my broke ass please: )

  58. Ashleigh June 24, 2010 at 3:07 pm #

I love beer and I love being outside… this sounds like a great way to start off summer!

  59. Caitlin June 24, 2010 at 3:07 pm #

I would love to win these tickets (as I am sure everyone would :D ) but I hope you give them to me! I love the beer fests, and this is one I have yet to go to but I really want to! This deal would definitely help me enjoy this fest and taste some wonderful organic beer!

  60. Jennifer June 24, 2010 at 3:07 pm #

2 reasons: I heart beer, and it’s my birthday weekend!

  61. Aretina June 24, 2010 at 3:09 pm #

I could really use a beer!

  62. Francis June 24, 2010 at 3:11 pm #

It’s sunny and there’s beer. Too perfect to turn down.

  63. shelley Loring June 24, 2010 at 3:12 pm #

Its my Birthday Monday and i love beer that’s why LOL. shelley

  64. Kail June 24, 2010 at 3:25 pm #

I would love to attend this festival this year! The beer fest on the waterfront in July is great, but so overwhelming! I would love to attend this event which is on a somewhat smaller scale but still chock-full of delicious beers I don’t usually find.

  65. Patrick June 24, 2010 at 3:28 pm #

What better way would there be to celebrate an upcoming USA mens World Cup victory over Ghana than with great beer at a great beer festival! Go USA and go organic brew!

  66. Kirk June 24, 2010 at 3:35 pm #

My girlfriend’s birthday is this weekend and I’m looking for someplace to take her, problem is we’re both broke as a joke!

If PDX Pipeline was willing to pick up the tab I’d love to go drink beer out in the sun this weekend, and it might even score me some points with the old lady!

  67. Sandy McCollum June 24, 2010 at 3:41 pm #

We never get to go to these because we can never afford it. In this slow economy, it’s even worse. PICK ME! PICK ME!

  68. cornucopia June 24, 2010 at 3:43 pm #

because I am so tired after working so hard all week. drinking beer would be a great way to unwind.

  69. Deanna Jones June 24, 2010 at 3:44 pm #

Cause it’s BEER and healthy beer, at that!

  70. Eric June 24, 2010 at 3:52 pm #

Please pick me because I went last year and had lots of fun.

Great event with a fantastic location!

  71. Josh Howton June 24, 2010 at 4:08 pm #

It’s me and my boyfriend’s 6 year anniversary on Saturday the 26th and we just moved into the Overlook neighborhood and would LOVE to celebrate with some free beers!!!! Cheers!

I would love to win, and take my boyfriend, and be happy!

  73. Kelly June 24, 2010 at 4:09 pm #

I have a job and I have money to pay for tickets. Hell, I’m even taking Friday off from work to go. But, what can I say, free beer has a nice ring to it.

  74. Mike June 24, 2010 at 4:12 pm #

This is rad!! My Dad is in town and I’d love to take him to this.

  75. Alli June 24, 2010 at 4:13 pm #

    Beer me please!!

  76. Joey June 24, 2010 at 4:13 pm #

I would like to go, because I just moved here from Des Moines, Iowa and want to tell all my friends in the midwest what amazing beers are available in Oregon!

  77. caitlyn83 June 24, 2010 at 4:14 pm #

Never been to this one…and $40 in samples sounds like a great way to get to know a lot of awesome organic beers…and what better way to spend the weekend

  78. Jacqui June 24, 2010 at 4:15 pm #

I want to win the Brewer’s Festival package so I can treat my friends who are always amazingly supportive!

  79. laura June 24, 2010 at 4:15 pm #

I hurt my neck last night (slept funny I guess), so at the moment I can quite lift my head fully. While I trudge around the office like Linus from Charlie Brown, all I can think of is, “Wouldn’t a nice plastic mug of organic kolsch make me feel better?” And the answer is: yes, yes it would.

  80. tiffany June 24, 2010 at 4:16 pm #

pdx awesomeness = free beer in the sun

  81. Christie June 24, 2010 at 4:17 pm #

  82. Jessica June 24, 2010 at 4:19 pm #

  83. Jess June 24, 2010 at 4:20 pm #

Portland + Sun + Organic Beer = The good life!

  84. Nikki McFerren June 24, 2010 at 4:21 pm #

I need to win the beer fest tickets as I am unemployed and cannot think of anything nicer than free beer in the best city!

  85. RoseyJo June 24, 2010 at 4:23 pm #

I brush my teeth with beer.

  86. David June 24, 2010 at 4:23 pm #

…..to expand my mind, my waistline, and my feeling of fine!!

I’m South African and it’s time for the rest of the world to pay us back for hosting a spectacular world cup. I’ve never been to this and would love to go – vuvuzela in tow.

I have a friend who’s always doing nice stuff for me but I’m unemployed and don’t have a way to repay the favor…but a whole lotta’ tasty beer would put things right!

The day was 80 degrees and the people who came to celebrate were there to enjoy and indulge in the fruits of sustainable ventures. Oregon is known for its beer culture and like good Oregonians, My friends and I are committed to sampling the variety of beers that exist. However, I can speak for many of us when I say that the one event that I truly cherish in Portland is the Organic beer festival.
I love the Organic brew fest because of a number of reasons. The festival itself is committed to the demonstrating that high quality products can be produced through low impact processes and furthermore that an individual can produce sustainable differences that can be truly impactful. Aside from having the delicious beer at the festival, Oregonians participate in a sustainable adventure unknowingly, or knowingly. I think that the festivals values are deluxe and would appreciate nothing more than to have the opportunity to share the fruits of this prize with my friends on this gorgeous coming weekend. If given the gift package, I will make a point to support all of the beer vendors present at the festival, share the tokens with my friends, and also engage in friendly discussions will people present at the festival pertaining to the importance of sustainable business and the inherent value of organic beer and agricultural production for regional economies. In all honesty, I always look forward to this event and to be granted a more affordable entrance to it would be the best surprise of the beginning of summer.
    -The organic beer is delicious
-I want to find my favorite organic summer brew and learn about any new approaches being conducted in organic hops and barley farming.
-The people are excellent and its always a pleasure to chat with attendees.
    -Supporting local sustainable business rocks!
-Sharing newly made beer memories with friends is an ideal way to kick off the summer.
-This list could go on forever.
Furthermore, I think PDX Pipeline is a killer avenue to get the skinny on local happenings ! Thanks for doing this.

    Hi!
    1) I’ve never been to a beer fest period.
    2) I love a good dark ale
    3) I just got back from studying in Amsterdam and have been quite beer spoiled with all the belgium beers but have no money to buy good beer in Oregon (NW micro-brewery beer) :-(
    4) Born and raised in Portland and feel I need (want) to support and love Oregon beers.

  99. Stacia June 24, 2010 at 4:42 pm #

Just had great brew at ZOO BREW…Need to keep up my brew fest image, and my tasting abilities. Love to party with great people, and that is here in PDX.

  105. Dave Tuttle June 24, 2010 at 5:18 pm #

I want to go because I am broke because I had to buy the new iphone and have finally falling into that cult where all interaction with life and other people will be done by me looking down into the mini computer/phone in my hand.

plus i can totally tweet about how awesome it is while i’m there.

  106. David June 24, 2010 at 5:20 pm #

I want to win the tickets because I am a passhole. This means that my eye gets a little glimmer everytime I see something offered for ‘free.’ Beyond saving money I get a giant surge of satisfaction akin to an orgasm when I succesfully get something for nothing! AND, I love beer.

  107. Dian June 24, 2010 at 5:20 pm #

cuz I like beer.. mmmmmm.. BEER..

  119. Modest mouse June 24, 2010 at 6:41 pm #

I love drinking locally crafted beers! as a poor college graduate, I can usually only afford a six pack of black butte porter or a bottle of dead guy ale once a month, so if I were given fifty bucks for this brew fest I could try new beers to find new favorites!

  120. Amber Leigh June 24, 2010 at 6:46 pm #

hey I would absolutely love to go to this!

  121. Melissa June 24, 2010 at 6:47 pm #

I will be going regardless, but 40 tolkens will keep me there a lot longer than I can currently afford. I will be going with this fellow I’m quite smitten with, any oppertunity to spend more time with him is welcomed :) Happy Thursday!

  122. Sara B June 24, 2010 at 6:48 pm #

Cuz I’m good enough, I’m smart enough and gosh darnit – I like organic beer!

  123. Sandy June 24, 2010 at 7:08 pm #

Love trying new beers…..and there should be the “token” old broad there to mix it up with the cooooool people. :) (I referring to me)

  128. Megan June 24, 2010 at 8:10 pm #

This is my favorite beer festival in Portland! Best view, smallest crowd, east side location and awesome organic brews!!!

And it always kicks off the warm summer.

  129. Shannan June 24, 2010 at 9:05 pm #

OK, so i may sound like quite a bitch here, but I don’t let my fiance drink. Ever. He gets stupid in a literal way and I don’t like to explain everything to him and quite frankly, I’m sick of him grabbing my boobs when he drinks. Despite all of that I think it would be a nice way to show him how sometimes, for special occasions, he can have some awesome beer and I am ok with it by winning him cups and tokens to go drink some. I am willing to deal with the boob grabbage for one night if it makes him happy:)

  130. Amy June 24, 2010 at 9:31 pm #

There are a lot of delicious choices at this festival, some I’m familiar with, and many I’d love to try!

  131. Stu June 24, 2010 at 9:33 pm #

    I’m worthy.

  132. Melanie Baird June 24, 2010 at 9:40 pm #

Here are the composted cup pics from last year. They are completely gone now!

    I NEED NEW CUPS:)

    Mel

  133. Sky June 24, 2010 at 9:45 pm #

Because organic beer is so much better for you than non-organic beer. Right?

  134. Jason Barton June 24, 2010 at 9:46 pm #

Organic beer??? Didn’t know there was such a thing. I go to about every single beer festival out there. This is the first I’ve heard of this beer festival. Its worth checking out. If you pick me, I will review and blog about every beer that I tried there. I will have an unbiased opinion cause I’ve never had any organic beer before.

  135. Don June 24, 2010 at 10:12 pm #

Beer is better than rainbows. Hook us up!!
and if we can work something out, maybe there’s 20 tokens in it for ya.

  136. Ashley Conley June 24, 2010 at 10:36 pm #

I’m a recent transplant from Orlando, FL where we have one amazing organic brewery (Orlando Brewing Co) in the whole city. It’s time to test the competition of my new pacific northwestern home with my newfound friends!

  137. Khathy June 24, 2010 at 11:10 pm #

Please!

  138. Nick June 24, 2010 at 11:16 pm #

I love beer…a lot. And so do my friends.

  139. Andrea Schludermann June 24, 2010 at 11:37 pm #

I grew up in Portland and love the area so much, I came back after college and brought my boyfriend with me! I’m finally old enough to drink, and he’s a big organic brewing fan, so I’m so excited to finally attend this year! We’re looking forward to a great time!

  140. nikki June 25, 2010 at 1:18 am #

  141. Alyssa June 25, 2010 at 1:57 am #

  142. Adrianna June 25, 2010 at 5:32 am #

Because I’ve been in Portland for 2 years now, and I have yet to experience what this town is all about! I would love to go to the brewers festival!!!

  143. Stacey June 25, 2010 at 8:27 am #

Beeeeer! And not just any ol’ beer, but finely crafted organic beer? Would love to go!

  144. April June 25, 2010 at 8:53 am #

I would love to win this incredible gift because I heart beer. Beer is good for you and beer is good for me even though it causes you to pee……a lot! I have never been to this fest but heard it was the best and would love to enjoy some delicous beverages with all of the rest! :)

I will be moving today and would be so happy to have a bunch of tokens to reward my awesome friends and myself with. ~Happy Friday!

  145. Jon S June 25, 2010 at 8:59 am #

As an Organic Homebrewer, I really love this event show casing the large numbers of organic beers to be had and always gives me new inspirations for my beers at home. I love this event is kid/family friendly. With family in town, this is a great event for Portland for years to come.

    Jon

  146. Raina June 25, 2010 at 9:23 am #

Mmmmmm…great beer! I love Oregon for many reasons, but great beer is at the top of my list. I always look forward to the brewfest–organic beers are great! Thanks for posting a list so I know what to look forward to.

    Cheers!

  147. Stephanie June 25, 2010 at 9:54 am #

Work and stress have been gettin’ me down- and that’s a damn shame with all this sunshine. A little more sun and some great beer would be the perfect tiny get-away.

  148. Moira June 25, 2010 at 9:55 am #

I am very much looking forward to this event! I would really love to win this package as a surprise weekend for my boyfriend. A beer festival! What boyfriend wouldn’t want to go to this. Plus we went last year and it was in my top 5 summer events!
    Thank you!!

  149. Heidi June 25, 2010 at 10:01 am #

This would be a great treat for my hubby and I who have a 2 1/2 year old. We love beer and look forward to these types of events

  150. Libby Hutter June 25, 2010 at 10:15 am #

We should win the package to the brewfest because my friend is in from San Diego and she is trying to decide whether Oregon beer beats California beer. This is an important moment for Oregonians because we have the greatest beer on earth! Also I’m very big on sustainability and going to the Organic Beerfest is something I’ve been looking forward to for months! Pick me!

  151. Meagan June 25, 2010 at 10:57 am #

I have never been to the organic brewers festival! And as a native Portlander, I am embarrassed by this fact.

  152. Daniel June 25, 2010 at 10:58 am #

I’d like to attend because I’m thinking of doing some homebrew and want to find out what small business did to get started.

  153. gerry June 25, 2010 at 11:09 am #

homebrew, organic, beer, outside, not raining. enuff said.

  154. Tracy Thomas June 25, 2010 at 11:12 am #

Let’s see – why to go?
    – Great list of beers, plus craft ciders too
    – More manageable size than summer brewfest
    – Can get to fest on the Yellow Line MAX
    – Looks to be perfect weather this weekend
    – Time to renew my SNOB membership (and I’m sure Brian will be there with his SNOB booth)

  155. Sarah J Miller June 25, 2010 at 11:20 am #

Why I would like to attend?

The reason I am attending is for:

Kona and Uprights Saisons (have you seen what upright has done to #7!!)
New Belgian & Elysian collaboration: “Trip Orgone”
    Uncommon Brewers: Bacon Brown Ale
Elliot Bay Brewing’s Belgian Style IPA
…and many many more, of course.

To give respect to all the brewers hard at work everyday brewing some of the best beer in the world right here in Portland, and the PNW!

Because the sun is out for us, lets celebrate!
Because this is Portland, and this is what we love!
Because I love this CITY, I want to celebrate it!

    I will see you there!!

  156. Jessica Rand June 25, 2010 at 12:32 pm #

  158. Aaron Levinson June 25, 2010 at 3:55 pm #

I want to attend cuz I LOVE BEER

  160. Steph July 8, 2010 at 1:30 pm #

  161. Kirsten July 15, 2010 at 3:58 pm #

Because I’m from New Zealand and our beer is better than yours…but I need to try yours just to make sure…

    • Julian Chadwick July 15, 2010 at 4:10 pm #

      How dare you?!! :)

Unfortunately, you can’t win b/c that beer fest has already taken place.
