Grindhouse Film Festival. Portland, OregonThe last Grindhouse Film Festival was a collection of trailers and I had an amazing time! Of course, a few of those trailers will precede the 1984 film about an axe-murderer dressed as Santa.

In a final act of glory, they will be giving away a double-sided axe to one lucky audience member!

Press Release from Grindhouse:

It's a holiday tradition!  On Sunday December 21st only at 9 pm at the Hollywood Theatre, The Grindhouse Film Festival presents the fourth annual screening of SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT!  A 35mm print of the 1984 Christmas classic about an axe wielding psychopath dressed as Santa Claus.

This movie was originally released at Christmas time in 1984, and was quickly pulled from theaters due to public outrage.  Classic scenes include the sledding beheading, the toy store montage, the bloody box knife as a little girl's Christmas present, and crazy Grandpa terrifying little Billy with his tales of a rampaging killer Santa Claus.

We'll also be giving away another double bladed axe to one lucky audience member!  Plus, 35mm horror trailers before the movie.  All the info including a picture of the axe is on the website:

The Grindhouse Film Festival is an independent production, not associated with the Hollywood Theatre.
