Rererato Halloween Party | Have Some Candy On The Final Evening.

I'm not exactly sure if Rererato is closing its doors or just not doing anymore evening shows. Although, I see they are having a show on Nov 15, so…umm…Either way, looks like a good party.

“Flaspar is fashionable nightclub punk, the sort of thingrolling bass lines, glassy, sexy female vocals that (as former Vegas dance evangelical Atole explained to me last week) is perfect for tricking indie-rock kids into dancing. But Flaspar is no scam: The quartet knows well enough that it's hitting on an all-the-rage style (a la the Killers), but backing it up with enough free-form psych chops to keep music snots like me happy.” Michael Byrne @ Willamette Week

Yellow Crystal Star
Yellow Crystal Star is an amazing young guitarist named Mark. Wayne Tripton says “If you miss then Yellow Crystal Star, you missed a truely gifted artist.Yellow Crystal Star utilized tapes, guitar and a bunch of distortion devices. The set started off slow, then grew into a fountian of gushing, wirling, guitar chords.I have been to many performances where it seemed the artist was trying to convey some sort of heart ache.YCS touched me in a sympathetic way not unlike some of the early masters of the Blues.”

Death Worth Living
Sean Ongley coordinates a diverse lineup of musicians for free-form experimentation..instruments, lineup, format, approach, melodies, directions, all UNKNOWN….needs to be seen to be heard..stay tuned…

Gay Deceivers
“The lady duo's lo-fi aesthetic recalls Raincoats-style punk or early K Records, but the pair has a cuckoo edge as well, like the Fiery Furnaces in Mary Timony's drunken dream.” Willamette Week
