Jan 28: "An oral history of The Replacements" with Jim Walsh @ Slabtown

“The Replacements were superheroes: They rescued a whole planet from '80s music. Jim Walsh's loving, engrossing oral history is the book they deserve.” — Nick Hornby

Monday, January 28th, 9pm at Slabtown (1033 NW 16th, $5 sliding scale) — an after-reading party with Jim Walsh, author of 'All Over But the Shouting', an oral history of The Replacements: a band that endures today as truly seminal rockers… foremost.

With musical guests:
The Low Arts

Surrender Dorothy
David Stoops

“Writer Jim Walsh will be reading from 'All Over But the Shouting' at the downtown Borders on Monday January 28th at 7 p.m. Afterwards Walsh, and the party revolving around him, will move on down the line to Slabtown, where PDX talent will pay tribute to the author's subject, The Replacements, those sometimes-lovable Minnesota miscreants who Wore Plaid First.”
